Ricochet Rita Ted_Kord Well if we're giving Name ideas... Ted's a good name y'know. And I doubt your family will pick up on the Blue Beetle... Or you could get one up on Paul Jenkins and go with "Torak the Slayer" I personally want to name my kid "Zoltarr the Destroyer of Worlds" but I have a feeling my future wife will have different plans. xp marry a warrior princess. that should cut down on her chances of saying no. stare Yeah, my only problem is getting a date with a warrior princess. I've tried but apparently all of the warrioring and princessing is really bad for their hair so they're always washing it... sweatdrop

Congrats Jaeger!
Name-wise, I like a traditional first name, paired with the middle name, "Eater of Worlds." That way, when the kid's REALLY in trouble, you get to say things like, "Steven, Eater of Worlds! You get your butt down here RIGHT NOW!" domokun

So Jaeger is going to be having a little Jaeger soon. May the child (or children) grow up healthy and wise. 3nodding
So, my first week of teaching this new semester has come to a close. Here at Guangzhou Teachers University I am teaching all Oral English classes (nine to be precise) with a grand total of close to 270 students. I think this term is going to be much easier than last. Every class seems to have very good, hard working kids so I don't forsee any problems at the moment.
Quick funny story - Being the first week, we spent class time introducing ourselves; each student told me something about him/herself and then the class was free to ask me questions. Today, friday, one of my students told me that she and her friend were "very interested in my long stockings."
At first ... I was very confused and bewildered, as she was speaking a little quietly so I didn't hear every word. Upon seeking clarification I learned that what she meant was that she was very interested in my long socks.
Why? I have no idea. xd

Alright, it's been a week of serious ups and downs.
I posted in the tournament thread how I had to go away for a week and requested prayer for my nephew. He's in a better place now. He was riding in the backseat of the car, his dad and brother were in front. They got rearended, hard. He passed away about two hours before my wife and I got there. He was seven. The community rallied around the family. It was the top news story, so it kept getting shown on the news and in paper. I was a pallbearer. Being a pallbearer at my garnfather's funeral was rough. This was worse. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
The service was on Tuesday. We flew back last night from Kansas. We went to doctor's office today.
I had been worried the whole trip about how this tragedy would effect my wife in her condition. She was very close to her nephew, and was a rock for her sister.
We finally got some good news today. My wife is fine, so are our babies. Both of them. whee
You're all twice as doomed come May.

Wow! That's a lot of emotion to go through in one week.
Twins! Fraternal, right?

Querl Dox Wow! That's a lot of emotion to go through in one week.
Twins! Fraternal, right? Feels like it's been about six months since everything started going on. You really just lose all since of time. Yeah, fraternal twins. Hoping for a boy and a girl. 3nodding

Whew. I think it all just finally hit her. My wife hadn't been to a hospital since Noah passed. I had to go bring her home from work tonight. Different hospital, different type of patients, same gut feeling.
Been a rough day.

I'm very sorry Jaeger. I have a seven year old nephew and I can't imagine what it would be like to lose him.
Um ... on a lighter note: twins!
Funny how Kapow can make you feel better and worse at the same time ... AT HYPERSONIC SPEEDS!
