Sigilos looked up at the approaching vampire.

*Ah good, your back. I trust the swordsman knows to keep his sword sheathed? Good. Now, I realize we are running low on time, but as you can see Lady Terk already has her weapon, and I have mine of course, there is only you, Riku, and Skie left. As a matter of fact, we have reached the next chamber.*

He pushed open another large wooden door, identical to the first door, to reveal a room totally unlike the one they had left. The room was dark, then a flare of light burst from the ground not far from wear they stood. A pillar of flame towered above them for a moment, lighting a small part of the cavern. The flame was bright, but the darkness reluctant to recede.

*This is the cave of shadows, here lies the Caex di Sjachic, the Sword of Shadows. Everyone keep close, the shadows will not harm you, but the flame vents are dangerous, and unpredictable.*

He lit a few mage-lights, setting them to hover along the line of their group, piercing the shadows just enough to show them their feet, and a few yards around the group. He let out a rumbling chuckle.

*Riku, I can feel Caex di Sjachic calling for you already. Come, there was no doubt in my mind that this Caex, this Sword, would be yours.*

He led them all into the cavern, walking in silence in the darkness, until they reached the pillar of stone on the center of the cave. In it stood a sword with a blade as black as coal. The shadows around it seemed to waver and sway. The golden dragon let out another chuckle.

*I knew it, this blade is yours. Go and draw it from the stone, and it is yours. I need not explain any of it's power to you, you already know. It is not alive the way Kepesk is, but it knows you still.*

Her blood rushed as she approached the sword, almost a shiver ran down her spine. Her scales twitched slightly and she could feel adrenaline pump. The presence of the sword was apparent in her mind. An odd cold warmth, for lack of a better way to describe the feeling, flowed over her right hand. The presence wasn't alive, but seething with shadow magic that gave it a life of its own. Perhaps it was the elemental embodiment of ambition or of some other aspect of her personality. She needed to grab it, to have it in her hand. She suddenly felt as if she wouldn't be comfortable ever again unless she took it.
She walked over cautiously and almost as if a force pulled her, she reached and grabbed the sword. After a few moments of feeling the sword unite with her, she looked around and smiled.

"Would there be a sheath for this? We must get going." She said. A chirp followed and the urge to swing the sword around with rage. She quelled the feeling and prepared to hurry to the matter at hand.

The gold raised a scaly eyebrow.

*Well, aren't you a hurried child? Don't worry, I am more then conscious of our time, young one. And yes, there is a sheath.*

He reached into the pocket of otherspace again, and pulled out a sheath made of a red leather, the open end encased in onyx. The belt was red as well.

*Here you are, now, if I have kept count correctly, there is only Lord Darkfire, and Skie left. Then let us proceed.*

He turned and guided them out of the cave again, closing the door behind them, and walking down the stone corridor, taking a left or right every time another corridor crossed theirs.

*he looks around, and places his hand in one of the flame vents*"ahh, it's so nice to feel warm again, it is so cold in these caves..."

Ter ksmiled as she watched the goins-on around her. It was nice to see a weapon of the shadow dragons returned to the race.

Sigilos sighed as they reached the next door. It was all going rather well so far. He opened the door, revealing what seemed to be a cloud floating in the middle of the door, covering everything, and blocking the view of the rest of the cave.

*Step carefully, and don't wander. You might fall.*

He vanished into the mist, his tail slipping in after him. Skie turned and looked at the rest of them.

{Uh, what's with the cloud? I'm still rather new to all this, so maybe you guys have some idea of what is going on.}

She stared around at the entrance and hugged the wall. Even if she fell there was always her wings to save her. But it would be ideal just to stay on the floor. She looked at Skie and shrugged.

"I guess we'll see when we get there. I expect it to be some air elemental item." She chuckled harshly, almost like an interrupted growl.

*he follows, keeping his eye on the swordsman, looking about he suggests*"let's not speculate, things are not always what they seem."

"I agree, Sigilos wouldn't put us into danger here in his own home."

Sigilos' voice drifted from the shifting mists, ringing clearly through to those waiting outside the room.

*Are you coming or not? Riku said it herself, our time is limited.*

Skie glanced around, then looked at Terk.

{Well, you all know him better then I do, alright. I'll go.}

With that, she strode into the mists, looking slightly nervous. Her silver hide glistened with moisture as she entered the cloud. She kept walking, until she came out on the other side, she had to throw up a wing to shield her eyes, the light was blinding after being in the dark tunnels. She was used to the bright light, being a WindSailer, so her eyes adjusted quickly. She looked around, and gasped.

She was standing on a huge stone bridge, which seemed to float in the air. Then she realized that it was actually connected to the cliff where the door was, and when she looked at the other end, she saw that the path led to a stone column, which she could see disappeared into the sky below her. They where really high up, the air was a little thin, and if she hadn't been used to flying higher during her WindSailing, she would have been a little short of breath. The sky was brilliantly clear, and a beautiful shade of blue.
She saw Sigilos standing on the broad top of the stone column, it was a huge in width, the Gold dragon could have stood on it in his full size, and have room for six more dragons the same size to all fit comfortably. His scales caught the light, and she could see that he wasn't just gold, his coloring had some red, blue and a little bit of white, making him appear to be a living flame. The sunlight reflected even more off his scales, making him seem to be giving of little bursts of fire when ever he moved.

*Well, finally! Someone follows after all. Careful at that edge, the sky below us is real, that door is a portal, this place is far away from my home, deep in the mountains where I live. Be careful of the wind, as well, it can be a little strong here.*

As he spoke the wind blew over the bridge, casing it to howl as it swirled about some of the cracks in the rock.

Hearing Sigilos' words, Terk knew her human form would be blown away, so as she walked into the fog, she transformed into her dragon form. THe wind still caused her to stop and brace herself, for she was rather small in size, but it was nothing she couldn't handle.

The sudden light blinded her for a moment, her scales reacting to the UV Rays and changing a brilliantly light colour. Her eyes adjusted and she kept her footing, following where the other had gone. She didn't have too much trouble overcoming the wind in hybrid form, her legs were strong and her claws able to grib almost any surface, even rock. Her muscles bulged at points where it became harder to hold on. They were almost there though, however she felt her sword's entity retract in the gleaming, extraordinary light. Something told her time was running very short, but she passed it off as paranoia and continued on the course, calming herself and focusing on staying on the rocks instead of falling down them. It might have been easier to use wings, but where was the fun in that?

"Indeed." Terk nodded and flapped her wings lightly.
