♫ Happy birthday to me... Happy birth... ♫
Umm, wait, that was yesterday. ^^;

I was so busy yesterday though.
Got up and got the girls and myself ready,
Went to FYE and bought Zelda Twilight Princess for the wii,
and a third wii remote (knew grandma was giving me money)
so that Hubby can play Mario Party with Kay and me.

Then I went to my parent's and had Golden Chicken (at my request) for dinner,
and brownie cake & ice cream. <3

Oh, and the wii (which I've had for about a week now) was my b-day present from my parents.
The older of my two sisters upgraded my cell phone package so it's suppozed to have vz navigator on it now, but my phone keeps saying that it doens't have enough memory rolleyes and the younger of my two sisters got me a wii point card. 4laugh

The birthday crown and the birthday cupcake were my gaia b-day present from my Mom <3

*laughs* Of course. 4laugh
Hmm... I'm not sure. The green cloak might bo better with the may crown.

Nana:
I tried setting up the wii today with that.
One of my sisters got me a wii point card for my b-day. 4laugh

I've played Mario Kart at my parents' house.
It is pretty fun. 3nodding

Happy belated birthday, Jen! Sounds like you had fun. ^_^

Have fun with the point card. There are some neat old school games they've brought back.

What's a vz navigator? If that like a GPS on your phone?

Ferdinand, it seems you get the basic friend code for the Wii, then you get different codes for different games, just to be difficult. I think though, at least what I saw on Mario Kart, you can do a search for a friend using their basic Wii-friend code.

And I don't remember what my last avy was. The joke in the house is that I am a foxgirl though. Somewhat analytical and difficult. blaugh So if you see me dressed as an animal, it's usually a fox. mrgreen

Jen:

♫ Happy Birthday to Jen, Happy Birthday to Jen, Happy belated Birthday to my pal Jennanen, Happy belated Birthday to her! ♫ wink
Many hugs and kisses to Jen! Even though they're a bit late, he-he. sweatdrop
We heart you Jen!

WOW! That's awesome Jen! I bet TP on the Wii is even better than on the Game Cube. Let us know who wins more Mario Party games in yer family, eh? mrgreen

Golden chicken? Does that mean roasted or what?

That's really cool Jen. Yer parents are cooler than Pluto! And you even have a Wii points card!? That's even better! If you need advice on which classic games to choose from, I might be able to help. I know SK will love the Kirby classic for N64 called "The Crystal Shards". I bet you have that one already, huh?

Really? The May Crown you say? Hmm, I'm gonna look into that cuz I barely have about 1k right now. Thanks for the suggestion!

Nina:

Really? Basic Wii friend code? I had no idea! I know you probably won't get the same game I have (Castlevania: PoR) just cuz I have it but, if you ever get that one, at least there will be someone you could buy or sell items with; as well as play together. I'm not sure if you are into platform adventure games but that is one of the best I've seen. 3nodding

It's ok if you don't remember but, last time I was here, you had the same avi you have now. I had no idea the animal you have beside you came from the enchanted book. It looks great, Kudos! wink
PostPosted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 8:36 pm

Thanks, Ferdinand. The cat is because Jay is a cat person. blaugh Plus, he got me the enchanted book, so it's quite fitting.

Do you have a Wii? We could trade friend codes and send messages. I haven't really been too into adventure games lately. Perhaps I'm getting old, but it seems I don't have the same reflexes I used to. eek

I can kick butt at Smash Brothers' Brawl though, only because I use confusion to my benefit. Like a neeenja! rofl

Yer welcome Nina! I meant what I said.
One thing though, I had no idea that a guy could be a cat lover. I mean, most of us are dog persons, you know? I may not be a cat person but I do have some sort of a thing for cat ladies. You know what I mean right? sweatdrop

I don't have a Wii I'm afraid. And I doubt I'll be getting one till next year or so (maybe more). But you know, you don't have to be very good at platform adventure games to enjoy PoR. Why? Cuz you have many difficulty levels and if you feel you're not getting enough of a challenge, you can always try higher levels of difficulty. I was able to finish it in the toughest level and I'm not the best at gaming myself, he-he. mrgreen

That's great! Say, you can battle online with SSBB, right? If I get a Wii, I'll get that game so we can battle.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 03, 2008 10:38 pm

Oh yes, Jay has a thing for the catgirls too. blaugh It seems they're rather irresistible.

But I'm the dog person. He's definitely the cat person. Cats come up to him and ignore me. While dogs run up to me and ignore him generally. I get along better with dogs. They're more like kids.

I used to have a dog I would play hide and go seek with. whee Not many cats will stand for such frivolity.

Once you get a Wii, you're on. wink Heehee. We'll see if I'll still be able to play Brawl by then. rofl

He-he, yes. A lot of us guys find them irresistible. mrgreen

Really? I wouldn't figure a dog person to be with a cat person? Don't you two chase each other down the street while barking and meowing? lol
I wonder though, will I be able to find a nice girl who is a dog person like myself? I doubt I'll find one as cool as you Nina. wink

Yeah, I used to have a German Shepherd but she died last year. I still remember the good times though... cry

Cool! I also hope yer still up for a battle once I get mine; cuz I sure as heck ain't gonna get it anytime this year, that's fer sure! he-he. sweatdrop

I'm sick. gonk I'm just really tired. I've been sleeping a lot the past day or so. I'm even tired now.

The fact that he likes cats and I like dogs makes us much more interesting. i very often chase him around the street. Neighbors must look at us funny, but you know, I have fun. blaugh

Gee Nina, that's beyond awful. I hope you get better real soon. 3nodding

Ha-ha! As long as you have fun, eh? That must be fun to watch too! lol

I'm gonna check that thread where Jen hangs out in a bit.

Nana:
Thanks *huggles*

Yeah. I kept trying to get the wii hooked up through my 'net, but it coudln't find it.
I found landlady's 'net though so she let me hook up through her wireless. whee
I've bought Bubble Bobble and Kid Icarus so far.
I can't decide which other game(s) I want 'caues there are so many fun choices.

Yeah, basically.
It has this really cool feature too where I can find the cheapest gas from my phone locatoin! *squee*

Smash Brothers is what I'm getting from Hubby for our anniversary.
Since he doesn't know what I've got him I'm not posting it up yet.
On the 29th though Hubby and I will have been married 6 years! 4laugh

I have the parental controls set to not allow access to messages and the such on our wii though.
After all with two youngs girls...

Hypno:
Thankies <3 that song was so sweet!
I love both of you too! 3nodding

I've been too busy plaing Puzzle Quest to have played Zelda. ^^;

Umm, it's a recipie... it's really good!

We still have our N64 plugged in and that's one of the games that we have for the N64 so I'm not going to use my points to buy it. SK really wants the golf-type Kirby game. I can't remember what it's called right now though.

Gee Jen, I can't say much about bubble bobble but I hear it's good. Kid Icarus is a really good choice cuz it was one of my favorites back in the day. I remember I couldn't get very far though... sweatdrop

Really? Smash Brothers Brawl is really cool cuz it includes new characters and online battling. I bet SK is gonna want to play as Kirby or Meta Knight whenever he has a chance, huh? mrgreen Wow! 6 years Jen? That's cool! I hope you make it to 100! Ok, I realize I may be exaggerating a bit here but that's just in my character. wink

Hmm, I should have known the Wii would have parental control. That's a good idea! We have to protect our little ones after all. 3nodding

Yer welcome Jen! I'm glad you liked my song. biggrin

No worries! I know you love yer puzzles...

My goodness Jen, if the recipe is that good, why not share? neutral

Of course! I should have know you had the original. I hope you can get that Kirby golf he wants... Golf is not my thing though, I find it boring. sweatdrop
PostPosted: Thu Jun 19, 2008 8:44 am

Hmm, Jen, I used to have trouble getting the Wii to hook up with my old roomie's internet. It would see it, but it wouldn't accept the code.

Well, the disabled messages is understood. I haven't really used that feature much but with one friend.

Games that have features that take advantage of the online capabilities are really fun. Like Mario Kart. You can race anonymously with other players, no messaging needed. That was a nice way to spend the morning.

And I loved Bubble Bobble! I have that on my Nintendo. It was also another one of those games that was hard to get far in unless you played with a friend. Even then it got impossible after a while. So a friend and I cheated to get to the end. blaugh

Kid Icarus was hard. I remember renting that game. We got nowhere with it. I don't think we even got past the first level. So I've never played it again since then. xd

There were a few Nintendo games like that.

It sounds like Mario Kart has cool options. To bad I don't even have a Wii to begin with... rolleyes

So, how was the end of Bubble Bobble anyway? Was it worth cheating to see it?

Ah yes, Kid Icarus was tough as nails. I liked it better than Metroid (they were both equally tough) just cuz I didn't get lost on that one. mrgreen They should probably re-release Kid Icarus in the same way they re-released the first Metroid.
And yes, a lot of NES games were very tough cuz they were either too simple to understand, or too short. Although, there were some games that were very tough and quite long.

Hypno:
I love Bubble Bobble!
Yeah, I remembered liking Kid Icarus, but it's harder than I remembered it being.

I also like playing Kirby in Smash Brothers.

Thanks. I hope so too.

Yes it's a good thing that it does.

Puzzle quest wouldn't be quite as much fun w/o the storyline too.

'cause that would require me to find the book that it's in.
Find the recipie and type it up. And I'm too lazy to do that.

It's not just golf... it's golf KIRBY style.

Nana:
Really?
I don't have Mario Kart though.
My parents do.

Hubby and I have made it to the end monster several times on the PS versoin and even beat him once.
We haven't had much time to play it since I got it for our wii

I got past the first couple levels when I first downloaded it.
I didn't write down my password though and I've been too busy w/ puzzle quest to try again. rolleyes

Hey Jen!
What's so good about Bubble Bobble anyway? Can anyone explain it to me?
Yeah, a lot of NES games were tough like that. I suppose it must be cuz most had a simple gameplay and they had to make them tough to compensate.

Really? And what does Kirby have that Princess Zelda or Princess Peach don't? mrgreen

Yer welcome!

Wow! No kidding? Puzzle Quest actually has a story? Most games like that don't and if they do, it's just some pathetic excuse to play the game. sweatdrop What is it about?

Awwww... well, too bad for us but I understand that you are way too busy to focus on stuff like that. 3nodding

I know it's Kirby golf but any kind of golf is boring to me, he-he. sweatdrop
