#22: If you were given a magical, flying ship for a present; how would you name it and why? Also, where would you go in it?
Serenity - *KIDDING* - *sheesh* only kidding.... Whatever I named it - it would have to have 'faux' in it - maybe - *f a u x r e a l* I'm sure I could come up with something better.... But I am of the school that you have to see it to name it... things have personality.. Where would I go? Scottland to look for faeries then... where wouldn't I go!?!!?
- -by the by- - I don't like the idea of a magic carpet because you'd never be able to go fast. Have you ever stuck your head out of a car that is going faster than five mph? ... it gets harder and harder to breath....

Question 22: If you were given a magical, flying ship for a present; how would you name it and why? Also, where would you go in it?
I would name my magical, flying ship the Leviathan in honor of the dragon from Genesis that would begin the night each evening by dragging the darkness on its vast wings across the sky as it flew from one end of the Earth to the other. As a result, it is only fitting that the Leviathan would be made in the image of a black dragon. whee I would go everywhere I could in it, be it the depths of the deepest seas or heights of the highest mountains. Were this more of a Science Fiction Guild, I would travel to the farthest reaches of the Universe as well. 3nodding

Very nicely done you two! I'm so glad that these thread is still getting some attention. For a while I had no idea about what to ask but then, inspiration stroke, he-he.
As for my answer, here it is:
I believe I might name mine, not in a strange manner like you usually see in fantasy stories. Take the example of magic the gathering: the weatherlight was the ship of the heroes. No, I think I would like to name mine after one of my favorite girl names like, Sophia, Jessica or even Jennifer. As for where to go... If anything were to be possible, it would be awesome to be able to go between worlds and realms in that ship. As in, I could go from my fantasy worlds and into others like, Harry Potter's or Lord of the Rings, to name a couple. Wouldn't that be cool? mrgreen

That would be cool, hypnocrown. 3nodding I had not considered traveling between not only different worlds and realms but settings as well. It would be interesting to see what it would be like to go to other times, too. That is certainly one way to get into character. whee

He-he, thanks! I thought it would be interesting to see what others thought of that idea. Not just my idea of actually having a flying ship but, my idea of taking it to lots of places, not just places in "supposed real life". Why do I say supposed real life? Because, well... let's face it, we don't have flying ships in real life. Or at least not yet anyway. Imagine if technology allowed flying ships to exist! Would they be horribly expensive? I think so! And this begs the question: Will we ever see flying ships in our lifetimes? IF we do, it would be awesome to see final fantasy like things in person, not just in the games.
But you know, I think I didn't write that question as well as I wanted. I actually meant to ask, in the second part: where would you like to go with it? rolleyes

If I could have a ship I'd call it Zarte Blumlein (German for "delicate little flower") and would sail just everywhere with it. That was the nickname of one of the pilots who flew with the Red Baron during WW1. He was a bold and brave pilot, and everyone loved him. He was probably the Red Baron's dearest friend next to his brother Lothar.
I would of course have a magical crew, and we would go anywhere we pleased. smile

Not a problem, hon--you're here now, aren't you? smile It's all good.
Let's see... here's a medieval question:
If you could be anyone in a Medieval society, who would you be--and why? What would the major focus of your life be, and if you would try to go against society's norms--like a woman owning a business or running a country--what would you do to become better loved and accepted?
OK, that's four questions. *grins* But they all go together...

Hmm, good one!
Let's see... I believe I'd probably be a knight. Yeah! One of those knights who had to defend their country and be all brave and gallant and, well... you get the picture. I think the main focus of my life then would have been, not only to fight for my country but, also to save damsels in distress or whatnot. I think that's about it, right?

Because the flying ship question is so fun, I'll allow myself to answer it, even if there is a new question...
I did have a flying ship of sorts for a while, in the sort that can exist in giant plots to take of the world to be used a base of operations. She was the good old Her Imperial Powerfulness's Sailing Ship The Sirius Black's Revenge. The was also the submarine HIPS Blood'n'Guts... As for where I'd go, everywhere of course. I have a flying ship.
As for who I'd be in medival society...
I would enjoy being an Inn Keeper, probably on a pilgrimage route, which, yes would be going against societal norms. As for what the main focus of my life would be, probably making sure everyone was well fed, kept, and watered and not sick. I'd probably have children, too, if not a husband, and so I would put a lot of focus and energy to ensuring their wellbeing. I would be literate enough to do the necessary accounting, and probably stress their education.

A: Now - I would be a brothel Madame.
I would have a high class brothel like the Everleigh Sisters in Chicago. Only knights / travelers / kings / ((if queens needed a little nookie, that would be okay too)) / and the like.... NO PEASANTS! The girls would be my flowers, and they would all have names of flowers! Of course I'd go against society norms! I also think in a past life I was a Madame. I think that's why this idea comes natural.

Question 1: Which Medieval/Fantasy Video Game is your absolute favorite? You can name more than one if you wish.Hmmm... I like the Final Fantasy games~ 8D And I also would like to make such great graphics like that. 8D (I'll be taking up a course on Information Technology or Animation. Or maybe another course as long as it can help me in making graphics like FF's. XD)
And I also like Valkyrie Profile~ X3 Most especially the second game, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. Maybe a third game will come about for Hrist? XDQuestion 2: Do you have at least one favorite fantasy/medival character or more? Post as many as you like so we all know a bit more about each other.Hmmm..... I like Alicia from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. Her english-dubbed vioce is really sweet and innocent.
And... I also like D'Eon de Beaumont from the anime Le Chevalier D'Eon. But... I don't know if he's a fantasy character since he's based from a real male crossdresser. And he also lived in the 1700s.. Ah well~Question 3:1) Who can name the full name of the main character of each recent Final Fantasy game? Starting with FF7 and ending with FF10 2) If you could turn yerself into a weapon (like Toguro's brother on Yu Yu Hakusho), what weapon would yer choice be? 3) Have you seen the movie called "Willow"?1) .... I.... can't..... D: *is shot* 2) Hmmm.... I could be a big sword, but a sword's too cliche. Maybe a fork would be nice. 8D They're really sharp. XD 3) Sorry but no.... I think I've heard of it........ But I have nothing to say about it.... DDDDDD: *is shot* ....I know a monster in Ragnarok Online that's called a willow. 8DQuestion 4: With either or both of these words, list fantasy/historical (archaic) words from the main word. The words themselves cannot be used in the list. FANTASY and MEDIEVAL. and write the words beside each letter. ....*completely ignores the rule since I don't know any archaic words*Medieval mEdieval meDieval medIeval mediEval medieVal medievAl medievaL tsk, tsk, tsk.... how bad of me....*is shot so many times that I got a big hole in my body as big as an electric fan's screen*Question 5: In a battle between two fantastic monsters, which do you think would win, Godzilla or King Kong?Hmmm..... Godzilla has an awesome ouchy-reactioned-reaction-by-victims-who-will-be-bitten-by-his-mouth (....lol~), and King Kong has arms and fingers and thimbs to hold Godzilla..... So..... I don't know... I'd cheer for Godzilla~ 8D

Which one is it? 1) Hmmm... when I watched anime? And the start of my having interests in video games is when I played pokemon. 8D I think I was in the 3rd or 2nd grade at that time~ XP 2) FF: Advent Children, Eragon, Stardust, Chronicles of Narnia, Ghost in the Shell, Star Wars, Star Treck, The Lord of the Rings, The Incredibles, The Robinsons, Shrek.... and that's all that I can remember.
