*After they had entered, Luel pulled out a chair for her before seating himself. He smiled at her and then examined the menu, deciding what he wanted. Though this had been imprompt he was glad she had accepted.*

Since she wasn't too much of a coffee drinker, Marie simply choose an iced chocolate mocha and a small bagel. After she placed her order, she sat back in her chair, her hands in her lap. Though she was enjoying herself, she had no clue how to start up a new conversation.

*Luel ordered some green tea and some cookies. After his order he asked Marie more about herself having an interest in the subject.* So tell me more about your art? is that your profession?

Marie looks up from her hands and into his eyes again. When realizing that she seemed to be staring again, she looked away again. "Well...I don't really have a profession. Art's just kind of a hobby. I've been doing it all my life. I don't think my art's good enough to be anything but just a hobby."

Glancing around, Sophiel leaned forward again, her voice low and quiet. "I heard some rumors that he did bring in a baby dragon once," she confided. "I'm not sure if it's true, though. You'd think the Ministry would find out." She paused, seemingly lost in thought.

Catori's eyes widen slightly, her own voice lowering. "Seriously? Oh...it's to bad I couldn't see it...if he ever had it. And if he did, he probably wouldn't have it anymore. They grow quickly and no one can hide a dragon that well." She looked up for moment, wishing she really had caught a glimpse of the dragon. It really would have made her day.

Kitiarou (My post was eaten. gonk ) "Really? Wow. The library at my school is big, but not that big! Cobra said, eyes wide. "I mean, you can't get lost in it, even though there are spots that no one has found, because of the books that are there, but still...a map?" He listened as Alaric went on about the fantasy book, "Fantasy huh? I like the ones with the anti-heros in them. It's always amusing to read their thoughts about their situation. And food, in a library? It must be some non-crumby stuff then. My schools librarian would have a fit if someone brought food in there." Yes. Books. Safe topic. Can't touch him or flirt with him, because I don't know if he likes guys or not, but he does seem to like my hair... a plus maybe? "Anti-Heroes do make for the best dialogue. especially the ones that get thrown into the situation will-he Nill-he. My favorite is this one name rince..." Alaric cut off after a few minutes of rambling, realizing he wasn't letting the other boy talk at all "Eh.. yeah. The snackbar has a designated area- i'm pretty sure you're not supposed to take food out of there. but enough at my obsession with books and the library. What do you like to do?" Ick. somehow always manage to show off your trivia, don't you. bad 'ric! bad! He chastised himself inwardly.

Sophiel watched Catori with interest, hearing the longing in her voice as she expressed her wish to see a live dragon. She smiled, drinking the rest of her coffee and setting it aside. "Don't you wish they had Tri-Wizard Tournaments still? So many magical creatures in one place..." She trailed off, imagining what being in the presence of a real, full grown dragon would be like. She surpressed a shudder of fear.

"Oh yes... But even if they still had them, I wouldn't be around to see it. She swooned over the thought of seeing all those creatures, she decided to order another drink. "You said you enjoyed transfiguration. What kinds of things do you like to transfigure? And would you ever try for an animagus form?"

Melissa had been aimlessly wandering around, lost as usual, until she had come upon the realization that she was a wee bit thirsty, and tired too. She had some coins on her, so she stumbled into the nearest pub-esque thing and looked around. Slumping into a nearby couch, she proceeded to lok around even more. There was a lot of Hogwarts students here, which was somewhat suprising. Oh well.

At the topic of her favorite subject, the Ravenclaw's cerulean eyes lit up with quiet excitement. "I would love to be an Animagus, but I haven't had the opportunity to really practice. It takes a lot of skill and concentration." Grinning a small grin, she continued, "One of my favorite things to do is making inanimate objects animate, like chess pieces or books. It's a shame it's summer now, or I'd show you..." Her grin faded slightly and she looked down. She didn't like to be away from Hogwarts, where she felt special and talented. Without magic, she felt like nothing.

Catori smiled then sipped at her drink when it came. "If I knew how to play wizard's chess then we could do that. Technically, it's not us doing the magic. But that sound really cool. I'm not so good at transfiguring things."

Cobra laughed a little and scratched the back of his head, "Well, you see, my school likes to teach us weird things ontop of the regular curriculum, so I like things like deciphering Runes and making herbal remedies." It was the truth, Ancient Runes was one of his favorite classes, and Potions was fun, as long as you didn't have Professor Snape breathing down your neck.... "I like to read as well, but mostly I like to just hang out with some friends so do whatever it is that catches our fancy at the time, you know, just teenage impulsive behavior." He offered Alaric a grin. "You've been here a while right? What are the people like generally? Are they mostly nice, are they evil? Do they do virgin sacrifices to some bizzar god or godess? Are they vampires, peodophiles, homophobic? Do they sleep walk and turn into werewolves on the night of a fullmoon? Do they believe in magic and partake in blood rituals?" Jescobre felt a little bad about firing off questions at 'Ric like he did, but it was a good way to slip in his question about homophobia. It would show wither or not if it was safe to 'come out' publicly or privetly.

"I know it isn't us doing the magic, but it still is a transfiguration spell that allows them to move," she said, nodding. Tilting her head, Sophiel smiled hesitantly. "If...if you wanted, when we get back to school, I could help you with Transfiguring. So that Catori wouldn't think she was showing off or anything, she hastily added, "It'd help me practice, too, really."

Kitiarou Cobra laughed a little and scratched the back of his head, "Well, you...[lots of stuff].... It would show wither or not if it was safe to 'come out' publicly or privately. 'Ric shook his head, a little dazed by the onslaught of questions. "Sound like a great school." He took a deep breath and tried to organize his thoughts wow, this guy's rambling almost as bad as I do! "And in answer to your questions... like people everywhere, some are nice, some are evil-ish. no sacrifices that i know of, the vampires are a bit moody, i'd kill a ***** if i found one, all the gay guys here are cute wink , don't know..." a deep breath here "I've only read about magic in books, but i've seen so much stuff here i'm ready to believe in anything, and as for the blood rituals, what people do in the privacy of their own homes is none of my business, but i don't approve of it." Smiling, he winked at the other boy. "The people here are pretty open-minded." He sipped his tea and added yet more sugar to it.
