Yahiko_Meogine Brother Felix Yahiko_Meogine Brother Felix Grandpa Ducky Brother Felix I'm an ex-ork player because I gave mine to a friend. The reason I did it was because he's orkyer than me and he didn't have an army. eek Wow. That was nice of you. How big of an army did you give him? Maybe like 2000 pts at most. That's a nice sized army to be GIVING away. gonk Ya but whats your point? I don't have one. ninja My friend wanted an army but is too poor to buy one.

STORMBOYS, BIKERBOYZ... ANYTHING that'll move fast. That's what you need. Iron Warriors take pride in WHORING heavy weapons. The only chaos army to use Vindicators or Basilisks, AND Defilers. They are ******** nasty. You need to get into combat as soon as possible and rip him apart - fast units, infiltrating units, cheap units... Anything that can go in, deliver a punch, and bugger off.

But the units suggested are faulty. Use Trukks, not expensive and foolishly fragile Stormboyz. Warbikes are ok, but Trukk Boyz is betta'. Mount your Warboss in a Trukk and give him a retinue of 2 (one with Kustom Force Field) Meks and 2 Doks, fill up the rest of the Trukk with Grot Rigga's and as many Power Klaws as you can afford. This will make his Trukk incredibly powerful and difficult to kill. Your second HQ must be the Painboss with a full entorage of 9 Cyborks (rediculously powerful, you will fall in love with them immediately if yuo don't use them yet). All Fast Attack choices should be Trukka Boyz, and all of them should have the Nob upgrade equiped with Mega Armor. For the rest of your units use whatever you want, these 5 are high enough in points cost and power on thier own. However you might want to consider 2 units of 3 Kannons, as their ability to pierce armor is second to none if you can actually hit with the BS2 (easy to do with 6 of them on the field). Give all Trukks Red Paint Job and Turbo Boostas, then blast across the field on Turn 1 getting as close as you can. With so many Trukks to pick from you should have at least one of them still moving on Turn 2, and odds are that one will be the Warboss. The Power Klaws on the Nobs will be worth their weight in gold against Marines, and the Kannons should keep the larger vehicle's out of sight for a bit or scrap them instantly. Trukka Boyz will survive thanks tot heir "Bailin' Out" special rule where they only get hurt on a 6 from an exploded vehicle and after mobing up with one another will be a force to be reconned with once the Cyborks and Warboss are figured in as well. Unless the terrain or Lady Luck is -drastically- against you this strategy will not fail.

This should probably go under a painting thread, or a modeling or greenstuff thread, but so help me it's about Orks and we deserve it more than the next guy. Anywho, found this guy through a link on eBay whist I was looking for more cheap parts to add to my Orky Space Hulk. The page is odd because the text rarely matches the picture and the links are at the top of the page instead of the bottom. Oh what I could do if I had this guy's money to make my conversions with.... http://www.orcheadthered.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

Good luck with that game, and make sure to tell us how it goes. Hopefully the increased toughness from the Bikes will make up for their horrible armor saves and large points cost. I only used Bikes in one battle and did quite poorly with them, haven't used the buggers over since. Just too many points for something with an armor save of 6 in close combat. At the very least give your Warboss a Power Claw so he can take on enemy tanks and such in close combat. One of my best stories is my Warboss ripping his way through a Monolith by just running up to it and charging in one side he made himself and out the other with a similar hole. Warbosses are very good at tearing through all vehicles, what with their S10 (after Klaw) and at least 5 attacks.
