Ayala wasn't sure if the other boy; Travis; really knew what he was getting himself into. Was he really prepaired for this? Time would tell. Felix; on the other hand; seemed all too eager to find his place here. She felt something; but instead of following her intuition; Ayala walked with them through the most remote of areas in Takigakure. It was as if she herself, had come up with her own shortcuts throughout this village. She'd been here long enough, so it was all too possible that only she knew of these routes.

Nakamura, I'm taking Travis and Felix to the Marsh to train... but I'm getting a sense of unease. What do you recommend?

Ayala... I don't want them leaving the village. You know the dangers that lurk out there. If anything happens to them... No... Don't even take the chance.

I think it would be best if you don't forbid it. Remember the Leaf? We were all there, be it your body, but we were there with you. Do you want to restrict them like they had?

I hadn't forgotten. We'll get to the bottom of that issue at a later date.... As far as the boys are concerned... I don't want you letting them out of your sight! In fact, take Hyousetsu with you. Or have him meet you there. There hasn't been a single time that your intuition has been wrong, and I can't leave right now.

Understood. I'll inform Hyousetsu of our conversation immediatly. Ayala confirmed, but it wasn't as if she had to. Hyousetsu already knew. She knew Nakamura would interject about the situation and knew she'd want Hyousetsu to go with them. Instead of repeating everything herself, she simply opened up communications with him during the point in which Nakamura ordered Hyousetsu to the Marsh.

Giving a light wag of her tail, Ayala led the boys from the Spring.

((Nakamura Enters from the Village))

Nakamura's body apparated close to the water's edge, as if she never left the Springs in the first place. Her eyes scanned the area, but she couldn't see Shinji at all. He had plenty of time to get here by now... she thought to herself, failing to notice the camouflauge that Shinji had taken. At least, she didn't have to visually notice it. The feint chakra signature that Shinji gave off thwarted his attempt at hiding. "What are you doing on the ground?" she asked, almost to herself, making an effort to keep from walking over there and just tossing him into the healing waters of the Silver Springs. No, that was something he'd need to rediscover... and now seemed like a good a time as any. This... would of course, restore pieces of shattered memories.

Shinji slowly pulled himself to his feet, his hands and knees were bleeding. It wasn't the first time he'd fallen on his face, but it was definitely the hardest. He quickly scoped the area to make sure no one had seen him take a tumble. A figure had appeared at the water's edge, he couldn't make out their facial expression, but he assumed that it was most likely disapproval.

He took a couple of steps towards the figure and then stopped suddenly. Wait a minute...how did she get here so...I like ran really fast and was... Shinji walked over to the figure "How did you get here so-" Shinji stopped suddenly and thought for a moment "didn't you say that I'd meet Nakumara here?"

Nakamura gave a small hint at a smile when he began to question her appearance. Waiting a few seconds to give Shinji his answer, she kept looking at the waters of the Spring instead of Shinji himself.

"She said she would be right back... but... I don't think you'd want to see her like that." she pointed at the droplets of blood that stained not only his knees but left the palms of his hands.

"I'd suggest stepping into the Spring before she gets back." she added, awaiting the moment when it finally hits him. That she's been here the entire time.

Shinji tilted his head in confusion and looked towards the silvery water. He stepped towards it and slowly dipped a finger into it. The water was cool to the touch and felt strangely inviting. Grabbing his nose tightly, he leaned forward and splashed into the water.

A second seemed like a minute. Memories filling his mind, as blurred images seemed to sharpen. Everyone was fleeing, there was panic, screaming. His mother's hand was pulling him along, urging him to move. He was pulled closer to her, he felt so safe.

Her hand was pulled away.

Shinji gasped as his head broke the surface of the water. The cuts and grazes on his body seemed to have miraculously healed (along with that ache he'd had in his neck for the past two days.) He splashed around feebly for a moment and looked up at the figure on the ground above him.

What was once a blurred face in his mind, was now a vivid portrait. Shinji felt a sickening sensation at the pit of his stomach. A small squeak excaped his lips and he splashed his head back under the water.

Travis Wolfe

Travis watched the wolf as they left the spring, heading out into the less... developed parts of the region. He though he heard people at the spring but didn't bother to turn around. He didn't recognize one of the voices.. however.... hmm...

Nakamura stared at Shinji while he drifted about in the Spring. Whats' with all of these boys? And how do I keep ending up watching them in the Spring? ..... This REALLY doesn't look good on me. her head shook to the sides, shaking the thoughts away. Once his head emerged, Nakamura waved at him with her right hand, using just her fingers. When his head went back under the surface, Nakamura had a feeling he figured it out on his own. A small smile appeared... followed by a look of concern. She felt the two tiny chakra signatures seem to dissappear... and the direction was the Marsh. She knew Ayala was with them, as well as Hyousetsu. Nothing could go wrong.

"So... how's it going?" she asked to the water, knowing all too well that the Spring didn't nullify sound. Shinji would be able to hear her with no problem.

Nakamura's words reached Shinji's waterlogged ears. He froze suddenly, and contemplated pretending to drown. Yeah, if I pretend to drown then she'll be less likely to beat the crap out of me...probably. Shinji wasn't too confident about this idea Wait, what if I actually drown...can people drown in this water? Shinji suddenly felt a tightening in his chest. He couldn't hold on any longer.

Shinji re-emerged, gasping desperately for air. He saw that Nakamura was still staring at him. She didn't look angry, maybe she'd forgotten all about it. Shinji swam over to the water's edge and scrambled his way onto the bank.

"Hi!" Shinji said, rolling onto his back and looking up at her "I was just...making sure I was all healed up...and stuff. So how about that Nakamura? I hear she's really awesome…and...forgiving!" Shinji smiled awkwardly.

Once Shinji decided to join on her dry land, the magnetized water of the Spring plucked itself from Shinji's body, removing any hint that he had gone into the water. A massive puddle of the Spring's collected water formed at his feet before sliding back into the Spring where it belonged.

"Yeah, how about her. She certainly smells like wet dog. Nothing at all like the flowers she's constantly wearing either." she said to him in a rather sarcastic manner. While she wasn't mad at him for listening to someone else's opinion, it perterbed her that he didn't form his own opinion before falling victim to that sort of bliss.

After waiting a few moments in an awkward silence, Nakamura gave a nod to him. "She is indeed very forgiving... it's nice to see you again. How do the people fair in Aisu?"

Shinji scratched the back of his head awkwardly "Yeah, maybe they meant a freshly shampooed dog...I mean when they have fruity smelling coats and they..." Shinji stopped himself, he was only digging himself a deeper hole. "Aisu is...well it's not home, but it is a good enough replacement. I think it took a while for a lot of us to adjust, some of the smaller businesses weren't as successful as they were back home...but I suppose that couldn't be helped. All that counts is that they are all safe from harm." Shinji looked up at Nakamura "They are safe from harm aren't they?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:14 pm

Nakamura could only sigh in his insistance of her scent. Maybe it was meant as a joke since she was always seen with Zenjin, Hyousetsu, and Ayala, but those with sharper senses have always told her that her scent was that of flowers. When he began to give her a status report, she had a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomache. Something was wrong.

"That's why I moved you all there. Aisu is so remote, that it can't be found by normal means. I understand that it's not Taki, but I can guarentee that everyone is safe there."

Hyousestu. Status report.

Nakamura waited a few moments before calling again.

Hyousetsu... Status Report. How are the boys?

Moments later, there was still no reply. Something must have happened. If Hyousetsu wasn't responding, he either found something out, or severed the connection to concentrate on fighting. Knowing Hyousetsu, it was the latter.

"So, did you decide to come back to become a ninja?" Nakamura asked, keeping her composure. She was sure that if they needed her, they'd contact her.

Nakamura's words greatly relieved Shinji. He had always been told that they were safer in Aisu, but he had always doubted the sincerity of those words. Was anywhere truly safe anymore? Shinji could tell that Nakamura knew what she was talking about though, if anyone could keep his people safe, it would be her.

"I..." Shinji started. He paused for a moment, saying it out loud made him feel a little uncomfortable. It was such a decision to make...but he had told himself he would do it. Answer her question, tell her your dream. But what if she laughs at me, it's not exactly the bravest reason! Shinji bit his lip and stamped a foot on the ground.

"I need to become a ninja, so I can see the world, protect the people I care about and-" Shinji stopped himself suddenly. He quickly bowed his head in embarrassment.

Of course Aisugakure was safe, but she never fully explained the intricate details of finding the village. Even if she wanted to send Shinji back, he would never be able to find it on his own.

"I never told you one of the key secrets to Aisugakure. Only those with special eyes can find it, and most of them live in the village. Those that don't live there, don't know of it's existance. The only ones outside of Aisugakure that know about it, are you, me, and my companions." she added, hopefully allowing for added comfort.

While Shinji explained his reasonings behind wanting to be a shinobi, Nakamura stood idly by, but when he cut himself off, she felt like she could give him some encouragement.

"Wanting to protect those you care about is indeed a noble reason, but something tells me that isn't the root of your reasons. Seeing the world? You've seen so much without a nindo, so that's not truely what you mean, is it?" she inquired, but that wasn't the only thing on her mind. Ayala was the responsible one, having her not report in to her without her asking for it was strange all on it's own. It was then that Nakamura began to brace herself, for she knew something had gone wrong and she'd be finding out about it soon enough.

"Well I..." Shinji started, feeling his face go red. She's asked you now, you're going to have to tell her!

“When my mum died she told me that my father was a ninja from a distant village. As she had no brothers or sisters he is the only family I have left. She told me to find him, follow in his footsteps. I know it's silly, it's been 12 years so he's probably dead already, but I have to at least try. I didn't get a name, so the realistic plan is to become a ninja myself and use any connections I gain to find some sort of clue of his identity." Shinji's heart was now racing. To finally say this out loud, it suddenly struck him how insane it all sounded.

She was rather suprised to hear how similar that story was to her own. Her parents were taken away from her, and one of her reasons was to locate them. Even to this day, she still doesn't know exactly what happened, but she knew that wherever they were, they would be proud of their daughter.

"Then, if we're going to have you become a ninja, I think we should start soon. Don't you?" she wasn't going to make the comparison audible. He probably wasn't interested about her past, besides, she had other things on her mind.

******************************************************************************
(Ayala Enters from the Marsh)

Somewhat tired after treking back from the Marsh with the boys in tow, Ayala's form appeared at the outskirts of the Silver Spring. She looked more out of shape rather than her normal wolven silhoutte but that was because of the boys she had in tow. Without skipping a beat, Ayala appeared beside the water's edge with Nakamura staring at her.

I don't know how, but shinobi had penetrated the border. Hyousetsu is hunting them. Before you say anything, I don't think there's anything physically wrong. My medical techniques didn't seem to have any effect on them which is why I brought them here.

If nothing is wrong, why are they unconcious? You know, nevermind. You can show me later. For now, let's get them into the Spring.

Nakamura walked a few steps forward towards the unconcious boys and Ayala. She wasn't leaving Shinji alone, but she felt that this was a priority. While she could have easily turned this situation into an unnecessary panic. She didn't know the full situation or how dire it was... but with Ayala showing her ingeniuty to bring them to the Springs, she wasn't all that upset. After all, if you had the most powerfull healing tool in the world, you wouldn't be that worried either.

Nakamura reached down and took Felix's collar in her right hand, and then walked with him towards Travis. She took hold of one of the few articles of clothing Travis had and began to drag them both towards the waters. With Felix's collar in her right hand and Travis' right boot in her left hand, she made her way to the Spring with the boys. However, instead of allowing herself to enter the water, she took a step onto the water's surface. By the time Nakamura had walked to the center of the Spring, she released the boy's collar and boot, allowing them to soak in the water of the Spring. As if reading the minds of all those around here, she walked back to Shinji.

"Don't worry, you can't drown in the Spring."

"Yeah...definitely, I think I'm-" Shinji stopped as Nakamura walked away from him. He looked at the unconscious boys being dragged along by Nakamura. Their blank faces made him feel uncomfortable. Are they dead? he asked himself, feeling his body shake slightly Am I going to end up like them?

Shinji watched as Nakamura stepped onto the water, she did it as though it were completely natural for her, Shinji could barely even Swim.

"Are they Okay?" Shinji asked, looking down at the submerged boys "they aren't- they're still alive aren't they?"
