I've been off of Gaia for so long that I doubt anyone here remembers me. This is my original post:




And here's a little update:
Name: Still the same old Cai.

From: And still Florida, unfortunately.

What I do: College student and mother. That's right, folks--I had myself a behbeh heart He's seven months old and just learned to walk, so I haven't had a lot of time to craft since I have to chase him around the house for a good fourteen hours a day. I'm trying, though.

Crafts: I'm still into making ornaments year round, and now I've picked up an obsessive jewelry-making habit, cannibalizing gaudy costume jewelry or just getting my own beads. I'm also going to start making picture frames. I made one for my friend for Christmas and loved it so much that I want to fill my house with them 3nodding

Three interesting facts:
-I finished building my house, even added an addition for Dorian, my son.
-I dye my hair every three weeks or so, usually something neon.
-My car crapped out a week ago. (It's an ongoing issue, lol.)

I'm happy to be back, however sporadically. I need new ideas.

Where are you from?: I was born in Baltimore, Maryland USA. I currently live in Greenville, NC USA
What do you do?: Majored in Animation at the Art Institute of Washington (D.C), but I currently run my own business based at my Etsy shop
Crafts of choice: Clothes alteration, plushies, recycling/upcycling (keyboard keys as jewelry charms, keyboard circuits as wallets, etc), and pin-back button making.
Other interests: Drawing, animation, writing, table-top role-playing, DDR, reading, web-site design, Ukiyo-e, anime and manga.

1. I love minotaurs.
2. I am a practicing Pagan with interests in Tarot, candle magick, runes, herbs and teas, and past life regressions. (By the way, I am not really that scary- I don't dress all in black and I won't try to steal your soul if you talk to me or ask me questions. I won't try to 'convert you' either. Pagans are not devil worshipers and are usually quite friendly and open, with a great love of protecting animals and our Earth)

3 interesting fact about yourself: 1. I'm just starting an essay on one of my favourite children's book series, for fun, and eventually (hopefully) publication in some suitably nerdy journal.
2. I'm allergic to face paint.
3. I once saw D King-Smith (Stupid censoring won't let me write his first name. rolleyes ) coming out of a lift and only found out after he'd left that it was him. I was incredibly peeved, especially since I used to spend my childhood nights squinting my eyes in the semi-dark to plow through The Sheep-Pig, Martin's Mice etc etc.

~ I lived in Italy for a few months
~ I originally took a sewing class as a no other choice elective. But i was a natural at it. so i just kinda stuck with it.
