As the winged soquili's two-legger came into sight, Manovia's reaction was quite similar. A dead stop from the prancing gait she'd moved in, the mare's head raised up in alarm. To alert James in case he wasn't looking, the grulla mare threw her head up a few times, nearly pulling the reins out of his hands. Her blue flecked brown eyes stared at the strange human-like creature, as shuffled her feet in a little crab-step dance. She could smell another horse like herself nearby, although her eyes were on the human only.
It was probably a good thing that 'Via had tossed her head a few times, because James hadn't been looking in the general direction of the others ahead of them on the path. Perhaps a squirrel or something caught his eye moment's before. But as he felt the reins sliding through his hands, it was all he could do to keep himself from losing hold of his companion. "Ho there!" It was the first words he'd spoken thus far. While Manovia was normally a playful creature, there were times he trusted her judgement more-so than his own. To see that she was alarmed brought himself into a defensive position as he tried to calm her. His storm grey eyes glanced Anpo over, trying to discern whether she was a threat or not.

Anpo raised her hands away from her sides, showing they were empty of weapons. She dug through her memories, trying to bring back the words her Ate had used with the traders so long ago. After a long moment of staring at the strangly garbed man - he was wearing so much! - she remembered some of the words.
"Peeese" she said slowly, then touched her hand to her chest. "Wi Ile Anpo" Gesturing to him she waited to hear his name.
Wambli was curious as always about the new soquili. She pushed up past Anpo, stopping a few paces away from the two strangers.
"Hello!" she said, "What do you have on your back?" she asked, ruffling hr wings a little as she spoke.

Vib turned back around "I was born this way ...you'll find as you travel deeper into this land Mydear that there are many strng colored and even stranger looking Soquili such as some with wings, horn and both." He stampe dhis bloody looking hooves. "there are some i feel you need to be careful of though ...but then again they're stallions and probably won't bother you to much." Her ears laced flat and for a moment a hint of an inner murderous cruelty laced his glowing eyes before they dissappeared, those he had spoken of had hurt him and he hated them always would.

Giving a very scared look to Arama as she nodded. Remembering some. Although Awnae wasn't too scared of Kalonas, they were just things that think they're all that. "Well, I'm sure you want to hear more about Kalonas now don't cha? I must say, we have wind soquilis, unicorns, and even flutter soquilis!" she exclaimed. "A few alicorns have been appearing too." she added. "Only Kalonas are so far evil, most of the other breeds are good." Smiling happily. "Vibrant, would you like to explain to our friend here how a kalona looks like and what a kalona might do." Looking at him, with glisteny eyes.

Arama nodded. "I have heard others talk of those bad...Soquili," she said, sounding out the word carefully. "It must be interesting for them to have wings. I imagine it would scare my master so," she said, grinning at the interesting mental image. "I can take care of myself, but I will be careful. I would not want harm to come to me or my master as we explore this new land." This place was so interesting...she hoped her master would stay for a long time here.

Aris Ravenstar ((With his luck, next Soquili will start calling him 'Ononomiss.' xDDD)) Geoff smiled and nodded with approval, repeating the name she had previously offered, "Nokomei", before pointing to himself and reaffirming his own name, speaking it slowly. "Geoffrey."
In all of the excitement, the young doctor started to gesture, only to find the strange fruit in his hand suddenly missing. "I.." He trailed off, head turning to look at the mare beside him as she munched innocently on her 'find', bold as you please. His mouth went agape as he stomped his foot at her. "You rascal!"
Mmmm, food. Lady flicked her white tail with delight and offered the pilfered goods towards the charming male horse, caring little for the protests of her man. You couldn't be ladylike all the time! Besides, he wasn't using it anymore.. "Want some?" She managed to offer to Oathkeeper, maneuvering the half-eaten morsel towards him as she held it delicately with her teeth.((Sorry about the sudden disappearance; family issues sweatdrop )) Nokomei smiled at the pale face, laughing shortly after when she watched his soquili snatch the apple from him. She reached a hand out and stroked the mane of the soquili who belonged to the man who called himself, "Geoffrey." She pointed to the horse and exclaimed simply, "You-Ras-cal?" Clearly questioning if that was what his soquili was reffered too.Oathkeeper's ears perked up at her generosity to share. "Why certainly. Thank you" he exclaimed, giving her a friendly wink. He reached out to take the send half of the apple. "What kind manners you all seem to have. Expecially you miss" he continued, after having chewed and swallowed the apple's other half.

Vib let out a growl, nothing like a normal Soquili could probably do, but Awny would know since she'd seen his people. " most Kalonas would probably try to kill your master mydear...best to stay far fom them." Then he though of his own homeland, also stay faar from a valley of lava if you ever near it." He didn't explain why, or how he new of this valley but his face was grave, every sign saying it would have bad consequinces if she didn't.

James blinked, rather surprised at the actions of the girl in front of him. Sign language is the language understood throughout the world, and her gestures were not lost on him. His mount refused to get closer just yet, keeping her eye on the female two-legger with caution. Holding onto 'Via's reins, and pulling his hat off his head, as he was in the presense of a lady, James pointed to Anpo and tried to imitate her. "Wi Le Anpo." Well, he sorta got it right, anyway. Close enough, right? Gesturing to himself, the young man blurted out "James Christopher Boyd." Smooth move, James, just blurt it out, not taking care to make it easier for her to understand. Again he pointed to himself, and said "James." That should be easier for her to say, at least, he thought so anyway.
As Wambli pushed past her caretaker, Manovia shied again, not sure WHAT to think of the strange apparatus' on the other mare's back. Nosing the sky, the grulla mare eyed the other female up before calming down slightly, determining that the wings weren't going to hurt her after all. "This? It's a saddle." Turning her head, Manovia nibbled at the stirrup at her side slightly. "He," she gestured to James by nosing his hat that he held by her face, "rides in it when he wants to go somewhere. What are those?" 'Via's eyes were rivited to the feathery appendages on Wambli.

Kanati had left the safe haven in search of food and news on the pale faces.
Running into not one soquilli nor two legger he ventured into plains towards the camps. He worried what Starshine would think if she knew he was here. As he ventured on he heard some voices. Kanati peered through the grass and spotted some soquilli talking one of which wore the strange clothes of a pale faces soquillis. He watched for a moment before walking towards them his ears perked.
"Gado halahi nanah ahani?" ((What's going on here?)) he asked the two soquillis that he could tell were from here.

Kissing him on the cheek again, as a thanks. "Yes, they're quite mean but some can be good. I doubt it though." Nodding. Then leaning on Vib to rest herself, she've been standing all day long worried about having war, then about the humans hurting her and all. It was a confusing day but seemed like an adventure. Still remembering that Arama's saddle haven't been taken off of her yet.
