Hayashi Aki Shunsuke Akagi Hayashi Aki Shunsuke Akagi Thanks. eek
Nope, I'm up in Tennessee. sweatdrop Our band is currently recovering from an eight-year loser-streak. whee stare xp
How many clarinets do you guys have?! eek
Hmm...let's see. Well, we have about 17-20 clarinets in each band, and we have 4 bands. Do the math. O.O
Eight years? Well, Reagan didn't even exist eight years ago. We're only 6 years old. Yup, we're the brand new school down here in TX...just trying to get our name known. ^_^ Well, we lost getting first at nationals last year by five hundreths of a point. So...that kindof sucked. Imagine losing by .05
>.>; That's a lot of clarinet. heart
We totally rocked this year--for our band...but we DID do pretty well. sweatdrop --and we ended up getting beaten by four other bands (all about twice our size. xp ), all of us a fourth of a point away from each other. gonk stressed Crazy Contest of Champions. eek heart We have around 200-something members total. whee Hehe, 200 people? Our school is obbsessed with band. Really, not gonna lie: 38% of our school is apart of the band, and there is near 3,000 people in our whole school. Band isn't a joke here. Ronald Reagan, inventors of the plume change, yes? I'd say your name is made. I can't believe you all are only six years old. eek

If you havn't heard of them, they USED to be the 'big awesome band' of San Antonio...but then we were born and...yeah. They're all pretty rude to us and crap, when we don't do anything at all. Most of them were crying (not kidding) when we got 1st at the BOA Super Regional, and they got 2nd. Geez, we never cry or get upset when they beat us. <.< But now I'm just rambling.
Anyway...

Band isn't a joke here. DAMN... 38%? That's like... a LOT of people. We've got like 4% of our school in band. 65 people in band out of a 1400+ person school. We've got 14 clarinets TOTAL.

Witch Kari Sakura7245 I'm a high school sophomore. I have been playing the clarinet for 6 years and I love it! I am the only sophomore section leader in the entire band, since section leaders are only reserved for upper classmen. I am also the only sophomore from the clarinets who plays first. I am first chair, fifth seat (pretty good eh?). I also plan to try out for Drum Major this year and if I don't get into that, then I want to be Band President. I love my clarinet!...I love my band! our a**. major is the only sophomore to be section leader, but there're 2 freshmen in adv. btw, if ur school lets' underclassmen become band pres, ur really lucky. confused band president??????

Wow, I really miss playing in concert now, which is suprising. xp Been sick this week, and our BD was out recovering from a surgery today.
What's everyone's preference for clarinet brands?
Ex: I use an Armstrong during marching season, and I'm working on getting a better one for concert with my own income. xp gonk

I have a old plastic one for marching season, and a new Buffet for concert. It's pretty good.

I have an Armstrong too, that I'm renting-to-own. I think it was pretty new when I got it, thank goodness, so it works pretty well.

My concert clarinet is an R13 Buffet (wooden) with a P34 Gigliotti mouthpiece. I've had it for aslong as I've been in band (this is my 5th year) so I've formed this deep, sentimental bond with it. <3 My plastic marching clarinet is a Ridenour, which was my rent-to-own starter waay back in 6th grade (I wished they offered band earlier. >_>)

I don't have that much info about it...but the mouthpiece looks especially ancient. whee Oooh, I love the ding that appears on the mouthpiece after you've played it a while... heart
