He hissed slightly as his arm was revealed - in the desperation of the moment, he had forgotten all about it. Now it bit terribly. He pulled his sleeve down around it. He sighed and gave Faryn a last, sad look and turned away. He just didn't want the boy to do anything either of them would regret. He began to walk back to the palace, mind racing.

Dax quietly watched the tense interaction between the three continue. He could say little about knowing how it felt to have a father to fear. Sure, he made sure always to obey him, but he knew he would never do anything to really harm him. Those thoughts were cut short when he heard a stinging smack! "Please, everyone! I'll have no more of this in my kingdom," he tried to interject. "I know nothing of what quarrels any of you have with your families, but if you must senselessly argue over it, do it elsewhere. Sayael, you would do well not to mock Prince Faryn. You, Faryn, shouldn't be dealing death threats to anyone, even more-so if it's costing you your own life along with it. So if the two of you absolutely insist on continuing this pointless arguement, I suggest waiting until your out of my lands. At the very least until we're out of the garden!" An almost pouting look crossed his features. "You might ruin the flowers."

Sayael grinned appriciatively at Dax's speach. "Well said. It'd be a waiste to let such pretty flowers die. He turned back to Faryn, his eyes glinting mischeviously. If Faryn really wanted to know what they had been talking about the information would cost him dearly. Or, at least, Sayael would have some fun with the prince.

Jillian sighed. Well, he was yet again unable to settle the Prince of Death down. And he was supposed to be the diplomat. He sat down silently on a bench, not wanting to reenter the noise and bustle of a busy party.
((Edit: Sayael's arm is still around Dax's shoulder. xD))

Faryn caught the saddened look Jillian gave him before finally retreating back to the party. However, he was too caught up in his own emotions to show or feel any immediate sign of remorse. He watched with unmoved eyes as the other left. It was then that he finally heard what Dax had been trying to interject. He nodded reluctantly in agreement. His cheek still burned with the stinging reminder and it wasn't as if he was entirely uncouth and incapable of decency. "Fine," he stated, though his eyes still found annoyment in Sayael's constant tendency to grin.

After a few minutes of silence and cooling down for him, he ran a hand through his silver locks. "So what were you two discussing before anyway?"

"Oh... A little of this, a little of that..." Sayael said evasively. It wasn't as if he was about to tell the other prince of their plans. "Nothing important or concerning you. Anyway, curiosity killed that cat so you'd best not listen in, 'kay?" His grin had turned to a sly smile and he pulled Dax closer to himself, by means of the arm that was still around the blonde's neck. "We have matters to discuss.
((xD Sayael is like... I dunno... gas on the flame that is Faryn? Bad metaphore, but yeah... it's... they clash. xD))

Faryn crossed his arms and couldn't resist an eyeroll at the other's ridiculous response. He didn't intend to leave. "Don't try and tell me you're concerned for my well being. I highly doubt I'd be unable to handle anything you could say," he persisted.

((oooohhhh... definitely. ))

He grinned. "Keep your nose out of other people's business if you like it the shape it is." He sighed. This new prince was so stubborn. Well, fine, he could be stubborn as well. "But what are you doing out here, anyway? This garden is supposed to be private."
((xD Couldn't help but use that quote. Merf... he'll cave next post... maybe... I was about to make him pull the marriage card. "'Daxy and I were talking about getting married.'" Oh, the horror.))

He glared. "The shape it is? Oh, what now? You're going to hurt it? Are we back to the mocking and violence Dax just now asked for us to stop?" That had better be an empty threat. If another hand was so much as laid on the boy, he'd lose his cool again for sure. He shrugged and stayed his ground. "There wasn't any sign saying it was exclusive. Anyway, stop changing the subject. It's just a question."

"As my statement about your nose was just a statement." He shrugged. He was getting tired of arguing already, but Faryn deffinately seemed like the type who would be only too happy to get back at someone who annoyed him by telling the whole guard they were planning an escape. Of course, they could get past the whole guard. It actually wasn't that hard, but if anyone with strong magic got mixed up - which was sure to happen - there would be trouble. He glanced back over at Faryn, his expression for once serious. "If I tell you, you can't tell anyone or I'll kill you, and that's not an empty threat. I don't care if you're the Prince of Death, I'll kill you," he said calmly, wanting the prince to know just how important this matter was.

Faryn cocked an eyebrow curiously. Was this really that big of a deal? Apparently so. It was almost laughable for him when the other made a death threat against him, but even though he didn't necessarily fear for his life he knew the Prince of Darkness was serious about putting a hurt on him. He didn't smile or joke. "Okay," he consented.

Damn. Now he'd actually have to tell the pricne. He sighed. "Hmm... I suppose you could say we're planning to travel. It's just that Dax has never really been out of his Kingdom, so we don't want anyone knowing in case his parents get all parenoid and lock him up for a thousand years or something." Well, he'd told Faryn the truth. Not the whole truth, but hopefully enough to appease the prince's thurst for information.

Rosaline sighed. He had had to, finally, decline the last invitation to dance after what seemed like endless dances. He carefully selected a glass of champagne as dark a red as his eyes and sipped at it neatly, sitting down in a chair against the wall of the large circular room.

That thirst wasn't quite fulfilled just yet. "Travel," he repeated, as though trying to better grasp what the meaning of the word was. Dropping his head down to look at the snow beneath them and shifting his chilled body to get back some circulation in his extremities, he gave his head a flick to shake the bangs away once he rose his chin back up to the other princes. "It sounds interesting. Where are you going to go?" he asked. It was a genuine question derived from genuine interest.

He shrugged. "I've no idea. Whatever it's called - that place outside the borders. We're going there to see what there is." The words slipped off his tongue smoothly and he looked completely calm, but there was a part of his mind questioning if it was indeed right to tell the prince of their plans. He seemed interested, but he was dangerous.

Corbin stepped into the castle, late as usual. The apologetic look on his face apparent, even through his mask.

Despite his facial expression, the rest of his body was expressing a since of classiness. His body was adorned from head to toe in white. His sandals lined with white gold, his pants pressed, shining, a white belt with a silver clasp bulging slightly underneath his shirt, which had been made with fine silk. The buttons were outlined with silver, and made with pearls, as were his cuff-links. His mask, however small, was extremely elegant. It just barely fit around his eyes, covering about an inch of his face from all four sides. It was silk, lined with more silver fabric. You could see to white gems on the inside of his eyes, perfectly adorning his bright blue crystals deep within his face.

This was all new to him, he hoped he'd fit in. And he hoped he had dressed properly.

"Here I go" he said quietly, as he walked into the common area.
