A small academy student was unfortunate enough to be just about ready to leave, hands full of scrolls that were all dropped in fear as soon as he laid eyes on the 1,500 pound bear in front of him. "Ahhh.." Was all he let out before tears formed in his eyes. Leaning over the quivering child on all four paws Honey made to get right in his face and... Slathered his face up and down with her tongue. So much so in fact that the front of his hair started sticking. By now the boy must have been so terribly confused which only made Honey laugh all the harder. "Best get to studying little one, wouldn't want to fall behind now hm?" Moving off of him Honey nudged the child up and onto his feet. Though it didn't seem like he needed any extra help between the talking bear and the fright from earlier, the child fumbled for all the scrolls he ha dropped and zoomed out the door. His hair still a fluff the entire time and Honey was practically rolling along the floor laugh. Right up until she ran into a bookshelf causing the entire thing to collapse all over her.

Taking note of his instructions, Michio would take his first steps onto the water before he had finished speaking--before the explosion took his focus away completely. He'd had only a moment to practice the technique before suddenly, their would-be tutor darted from the area in a hurry. The young man noticed Char looking at him from the corner of his eye, and returned her gaze, having the same unspoken question for her.
It was at this moment they were joined by a third party. It was someone Michio had not been introduced to, and he was feeling a bit apprehensive given that their village had just been hit with what felt like a high-magnitude earthquake. "No, we don't. And who are you?" In this situation, the student wasn't looking to waste any time; he would introduce himself or begone.
Internally, he was still wrestling with the unanswered question between himself and Charvalla; to do as they were ordered, or to go and join the fray? Michio had always touted himself as a person who obeyed orders, and performed his duties as such. But...what happens when your duty and your orders aren't in line?
Before he could get a response from the cute girl another voice cut-in. Kenny glanced over and immediately set into a slight frown. Another person, a quite handsome man, was present with her. And judging by the way he responded with 'we' instead of 'I' denoted some type of familiarity with this girl. Kenny stood up a little straighter and stuck his hands in his pockets. He met the boy's gaze with his own and gave a slight shrug "I'm Kenny. What're your names?" He said as he glanced between the woman and the man.

A kunai broke through the window adjacent to the door which Kenny, Michio, and Char Valla stood near. From the kunai erupted a cloud of smoke. It was then that the kogarashi agent infiltrated the building. His target was Michio, since he looked like the oldest of the ninja, and thus the most powerful. Therefore, ending his life was the priority. A kunai was in his right hand as he used silent step to sneak in. When he was within range he would bent down and thrust forward his right hand. Michio would be able to see the man just as he moved in. The gut stab was simplistic in nature, but the rogue wasn't trying to be fancy. Just one strike and then the other two could be taken care of more easily.

It seemed their conversation would be cut short, as just after Kenny introduced himself, the shattering of glass would fill their ears, and a plume of smoke their vision. What little battle sense Michio had from his spars at the academy kicked in immediately. He tried as best as he could to scan for the opponent, but was late to see him closing in. The young man wasn't gifted in close-range combat from the start, so he did what he could. Using his arm as a shield, Michio stepped back as the lunge completed, hoping to take even a centimeter or two off the weapon's entry. "He's here!" Michio shouted as the weapon broke skin. A cry of pain accompanied, tearing through the room and further alerting his comrades to his location. 'Think...how can I make sure we don't lose track of him again...think...think...' Frenzied, inexperienced thoughts tried as best as they could to work through the pain, and the solution he came up with was a gamble, but the only one he could think of.
By now, the lunge had mostly completed, and the kunai was now buried deep into his arm. Hoping to catch him before he pulled away, Michio reached with his free hand to grab the rogue's wrist before taking another step back. As they were just practicing the Water Walking technique, the pool of water was just behind him, this last step would take him in. "Char!" Was the last thing he called out before attempting to pull the rogue into the water with him.
He wasn't entirely aware of her full capabilities with the water, but knew that at the very least, a soaked enemy wouldn't be as quiet as a dry one if all else failed.
Charvalla did want to actually give her name to the newcomer, just as Michio had been at least initially apprehensive. But when Kenny did give his name, Charvalla, struggling just a little to get onto the surface of the water, spoke plainly to him. "I am Charvalla," she declared, just when the intruder's projectile came flying into the small pit, using a smoke bomb to try and wrench them free of their ability to see. Charvalla was on guard immediately, and the very second she heard Michio's cry of pain she was running, blindly, towards that spot. She happened to stumble past the kunai that had been thrown in the first place, cutting her foot on it as she did so but ignoring the pain as she snatched it from the ground and sprinted forward. By the time she did find them, he was calling out her name, falling into the pool of water. She acted instead of thinking as was her teaching, and leaped in, aiming to crudely stab the weapon into the back of the man who had assaulted him, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her foot and the sight of blood.
The whole ordeal happened quick- a lot quicker than he was used to things moving. When action happened Kenny preferred to be in the back- a thinker and a planner at heart. Still, he wasn't about to just run away. He hardly knew these people but he still felt like he should help them- besides, he might get rewarded for taking down a rogue! Kenny would draw his Katana and ready himself at the edge of the pit- looking down for any sign of the rogue. If he saw him he would make some move to attack but, for now, not getting into the pit of water seemed like the best plan
Surprise overtook him as he found himself rushing into the water. When the cool sensation soaked him he knew that he didn't want to tangle inside. He first shook his wrist free from the grip of the man and let go of the kunai which was in his arm. He then used the act of water walking to quickly bring himself to the surface of the water. This technique would also allow him to propel himself away from the girl that also tried to chase into him. When he arose to the surface he saw the boy with the sword and drew another kunai. A simple dagger was thrown at him as he followed the throw with a jump to the right. He rolled when he landed along the edge of the water as he moved to make sure that, if the weapon was deflected, that it wouldn't instinctively hit him back.

Michio let out a sigh of relief in his mind when his efforts were successful. It wasn't long after that his adversary started to struggle free. After being stabbed in the arm to get him here, the young man wasn't about to let him off the hook so easily. Expending all the strength he could muster with one hand, the student kept a firm grip on the enemy's hand--or at least tried to--so that Charvalla's strike could ring true. When he tried to break free, he had also let go of the hand holding the kunai lodged in his arm. In a moment of sheer adrenaline-fueled action, Michio directed the back ring of the kunai up to his mouth, and tore it free from his arm somewhat sloppily. Another surge of pain tore through him as he took stock of his injured arm's mobility.
Once he determined there was some amount of utility left, he gripped the kunai held in his mouth, and attempted to plunge it into the center of the rogue's arm, the connection between upper and forearm. Hoping to give an eye for an eye, as they say.
Though soon, he would need to surface; he hadn't been expertly trained in holding his breath underwater, so this situation could be getting much worse here soon.

If this was a rogue it had to be like, I don't know, the sh*ttiest rogue ever! Kenny Yin deflected the kunai that was thrown at him by swiping his sword in front of his body at the correct time. He wasted no time in running towards the man - matching the movements of his adversary who was down in the pit by keeping up with him on the ledge. As he moved one of the Wind Clones he had practiced making earlier formed out of the breeze and appeared running next to him. With a coordinated assault, both he and the clone would leap down with their swords at the ready- both attempting to slash at the rogue from differing sides. Upon nearing, however, the real Kenny Yin would also let loose 5 small bursts of water from his mouth at near point blank range. It wasn't much, but at least he had some offensive capabilities beyond throwing smoke bombs and kunai

The man was not expecting the person to struggle back. He broke free from the man's grip by exerting more force. However, the delay it caused him to do so allowed Char Valla to get her strike in. He gasped in pain. It was because of this that he still followed through with the water walking elevation plan and still brought him above surface. It was for this new context that he performed his haphazard throw toward Ken. He drew two more kunai as he blocked the strikes from the two clones. However, when his eye of the real one, he spun around to allow the momentum of the two clones to push by him and for him to dodge the fish spit. Unfortunately, with the proximity, one of the shots collided with his right shoulder and caused him to wince in pain. His right hand let go of the weapon as his left channeled chakra through the weapon. The kunai which fell then flew at an unlikely angle in order to catch Kenny off guard. These three punks were proving to be a lot more of a hassle than they appeared to be. It was clear that he would have to kill them all.

Charvalla had tasted blood in the water, to say the least of it. In her mind, as the blood came from the wound, she had been christened as a shinobi before ever having had to go through the graduation exam. She, however, was slow on the uptake after the attack collided in her moment. She fell below the surface of the water, seeing all of what was going on above through blurry eyes, and being glad she kept her kunai. From below, another Fish Spit barrage rocket up, all of them intending to strike him from below the water, and should he recoil even a little, she would attempt to swim up and use all of the strength in her arm to stab into the bottom of his foot and give Michio the space to escape.
Once the rogue had broken free of his grip, Michio knew it was time to get to the surface. As he was just about there already, it took him only a second to rise for air before sinking back down. The rogue hadn't aimed any attacks at him, so this was a rare opportunity. He filtered through techniques, basic battle strategy they'd learned in the academy, and came up with an idea. Michio went through a quick set of seals, and focused his chakra before sinking into the wall of the pool. The Earth Military Movement technique would be helpful in surfacing without the notice of his enemy. He rose up on the opposite side from Kenny, and with the rogue's attention focused, this would hopefully create an opportunity.
Placing his hands together, Michio molded chakra once more. This time, an earth clone would rise from the surface, standing in front of him and obscuring view from its creator. Taking a quick moment to peek around, the student would throw two kunai as best as he could, aimed at the back of his opponent's right knee. He wasn't extremely confident in his aim, or he would have likely gone for both at once. But if he could render even one unusable, it would suit his purposes. Little did he know that Charvalla had already taken measures against one of his feet. If they were lucky, it would partially incapacitate both legs, and set them up for the kill.
Just as the man began to float into the air, he would find his ascent halted rather abruptly. A set of chains would suddenly appear out thin air. Or rather, to everyone involved they would seem to come out of nowhere. While they had all been focused on either evading or counter-attacking the assassin, Sumiko had entered the Academy in a hurry, rushing towards the sound of fighting. The chains which were now clearly emanating from Sumiko lifted the assassin up and began to tighten around him, sapping him of his chakra and strength. In a matter of moments he would be unconscious and of little threat. With the assassin dealt with, Sumiko turned to the students. Sumiko put on a half-assed smile as she spoke to the group of students, nervously rubbing the back of her head. "Sorry I'm late. You would not believe the traffic. I hope you are all alright. Oh, I should also probably introduce myself, Sumiko Uzumaki, Academy Teacher Extraordinaire." Whether or not the students were okay, Sumiko was just relieved that she made it here before any of them had died. And surprisingly, they seemed to have managed to hold their own against a much higher ranked opponent.
