After being asked again to divulge what she wanted for Christmas, Caroline had become so overwhelmed with JOY that she could no longer think of reasonable things to answer. She was three-quarters of the way through listing every single thing in the song 'Santa Baby', cheerfully humming through the bars until she reached another item, when she was finally granted the explosion that she'd asked for the first time.

Max was the type of the person that would easily blow away one's worries and make one smile. Shu giggled at his lively words and answered in a more cheerful voice, "We don't need to push anyone into oven, just stop the train will do." His suggestion was the most attractive at that moment, her lips parted and - suddenly everything turned upside down. It felt like an earthquake, but she felt herself or the train being thrown up in mid-air and crashed. Recalling Mark claimed he had a button of massive destruction, Shu yelled, at the top of her lungs, through the headset. "UNCLE MARK! WHAT'VE U DONE?!" At the same time, she considered taking back her present for him. He didn't deserve a gift at all! The pain from Max's unconscious grasp brought her sense back, they coughed out black smokes. The Death soot hugged back another soot to ease his fear. "Max, I guess we have to run," she softly patted on his back to inform him. ================================== RUNNING AWAY FROM IT + saving SantaShe grabbed his hand tightly, and began to climb upwards towards the window. Often, she could feel the train being pulled. "Max, hold on! It's moving again!" She jumped to catch the back of a seat. Gradually they managed to escape the broken train, "We did it~" She raised both of her hands and cheered, just a quick glance and she saw some hunters were heading towards a black hole, it was swallowing everything up. "No! Don't go that way!" She jumped and waved, attempted to draw their attentions to no avail. It was an emergency, she turned back to Max. "Max, you stay somewhere safe, I-I need to stop them." It's Christmas, nothing awful should happen. Then, she sprinted towards Santa. The petite Death hopped to barely clang around his wide forearm and swung it gently. "Santa~ Am I a bad girl that you've to leave? Can you possibly stay - a.little.longer?" She pulled him back with her tiny force while giving him the pity animal eyes, as if a little girl asking her papa to play with her. HP: I dunno Joy: <40

Not doing a goddamn thing Lawrence wasn't expecting the train to explode, but when it did, he wasn't surprised at all. That was just what happened on Deus missions, every single time. He half curled and tried to protect himself from the fall, but still nevertheless took a bit of a brunt of the whole thing.
With a groan he got back to his feet, brushing himself off and looking for Melvin, since the man was too addled by whatever it had been to take care of himself at all.

Mr Merry Concussion blinked back at Lawr slowly, frowning as he wasn't allowed to cuddle and rest against the other and wanting only to find a nice fireplace to curl up and sleep. "How am I supposed to get any presents from Santa if I'm awake?" He muttered.
And then with a violent boom, the train jumped and he felt his body leap before things went black and painful.
Groggy and feeling even more inclined to just lay in the wreckage of soot and snow, the Life hunter got up and looked about only to hear people shouting and what looked like the whole that ate the U.S.S. Enterprise just sitting there wanting to eat Santa -
- and Santa was NOT a cookie.
Panicking, he scrambled up, world swimming around like he was walking on a capsizing boat.

Jason had been in the process of telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas (which mainly involved making sure everyone else got what they wanted, and maybe a dvd player and hot chocolate for himself), when everything just exploded around him. He copped the blast full force, though to his relief he didn't feel like any limbs were lost. Just lots of scratches and his entire body being covered in black soot. Oh, and Santa Claus was not Santa Claus.
He wasn't too disappointed. Not really. Fake Santa was still a awesome guy.
What wasn't awesome was the giant vortex of nothingness which the fake Santa was moving towards, And Jason was still sane enough to know not to go anywhere near it.
The other hunters were trying to pull him back, so Jason jumped in to help too

Going towards the HUGE DEADLY PORTAL
Rep fared somewhat better, but was completely addled with JOY when he got off the train. There was a way out though, a way to a much better and more awesome place just up ahead.
"Wow!" he called "It's like the ******** rainbow bridge. Last one in is a ******** loser."
<> Tracey said urgently. <>
He started to jog towards it, unheeding of Tracey who was probably just mad it was going to be amazing.

Running away from portal and trying to save Rep.
His blurry vision swam as he moved to go grab Santa, but a bigger streak of red caught his attention. Turning, he saw William rushing, and breathed out glad that he was going to help the group save Christmas - before passing Santa completely.
"NO!" He shouted, and raced after him. Rep was going to ruin Christmas and no more amazing sweaters would ever be made! It was a crime against the season and then who would the hot cocoa be made for?!! The sinks would be too clean!!
Rushing, the soot-covered, beaten, bare chested Lifer went to tackle the Death hunter against the chest and prayed he wouldn't be thrown in with the Sun. "NO STOP!"

Going towards certain doom. As the train exploded, Mik instinctually reached for his brother and it was this reflex that protected him from at least some of the explosion, he found himself on the snow outside the train, out of breath and dazed.
"Fireworks!" he cried out loud in delight. "Christmas fireworks!"
He couldn't take his eyes off of what appeared to be a massive firework in the distance that culminated in a huge portal to a wonderful, fascinating world beyond.
"Lets go see what's in it!" he called out loud.

Going away from the portal + saving Mik
Malk drew Mik close, taking a bigger share of the blast.
Don't worry, I've got you! He heard in a small, helpful whisper. And when he stood up in the snow, still smoking, everything hurt but nothing was broken.
"Thanks, Jorm," he said, brushing himself off. There was too much adrenaline to take total stock of the damage. Mikael seemed dazed, though, and started towards... "Herregud," he said, gawping for only a minute at the void sucking everything in the sky.
He took Mik's arm, steering him the other way, "No, it's hell. How do we get out of here?"

Safe-ish for now Rep toppled, thrown off balance by Melvin tackling him, leaving him completely confused as he fell into the snow. "Hey!" he called out with a laugh. "What the ******** are you doing Melvin? I was going to go into the big cool portal thing! Look at it, it's great!"

He was tired and the snkw was soft, but the idea of sleeping now while Rep was talking about death portals kept him awake as he cintubuted to be a dead weight and hold him.
"The party is here. That portal is death. You stay here."

There had been a very minor tussle, a short lived struggle where she'd attempted to wrest the switch from Mark, but he'd jerked it out of Peyton's reach, and in so doing, had managed to press it... There was time for a foreboding explicitive, eyes widened, before an explosion(a fair bit closer than one would have expected)rocked the surrounding area. Buts if peppermint bark and marshmallow fluff snow rained down on them. "That was the train, wasn't it?" The train that everyone was still on. The Sun was in her feet and running towards the rising smoke before anyone would have a chance to answer. She needed to find Andy, Jordan. She needed to be there. And what the ******** was that thing in the sky!? --------------- At the epicenter, Zeke had had time to puzzle over the what he was hearing over his headset, and then all hell had broken loose in the form of an explosion. Sadly, this went the first time the Mist had been badly burnt, but at least this time the damaged seemed more localized to his clothing and hair. He was covered in soot, but scratched up and bruised, but relatively unharmed. Which was a bit shocking, considering. When the smoke had cleared, and he'd gathered his bearings again, that's when he noticed the giant black hole in the sky. "Oh this is not good." --------------- Well that had been fun.. Except not really. Gretchen coughed, rubbing soot from her eyes with the back of her hand as she sat up with a groan. "Ow." Everything was a bit achy, but considering she'd just been blown up, she supposed that was to be expected. When she managed to open her eyes again, the worst of the soot cleared away, they widened as the she noticed the giant, destructive black hole of oblivion that was swirling above them. All at once tension sang through her body, palms sweating and heart hammering. ( Run.) Gretchen didn't need telling twice. She scrambled up and started running. --------------- His ears were ringing, his body hurt all over, and everything smelled like burnt sugar. Blowing up wasn't fun, but strangely enough, it actually wasn't the worst thing to happen to him. Not even the worst thing he could remember happening. It made it a little easier to bounce back, and he was on his feet, about to ask over the headset what they should being doing about the swirling vortex of death over their heads, when he spotted the brilliant red of Caroline's curls. Lips pressing into a thin, worried line, Liam hastily made his way to her side. "Are you okay? You haven't seen Harper have you?"

Going TOWARDS the portalIn response to being dangerously close to a life-threatening explosion, Caroline did what any reasonable person would: she flung her arms upward and cheered in celebration of it, her shouts of victory dissolving into fits of delighted laughter. "Yeah! Yes! Another--let's have another! Bigger this time! Wooo!" She took no notice of any number of very real concerns, such as the imminent destruction of everyone, or that the scent of burnt cookies was coming from the singed gingerbread in her pockets. Just as she had before, she hardly reacted to Liam approaching, and still seemed to have just assumed that he was right beside her he whole time. "Of course! It's the most wonderful time of the year, so-- oh Harper's here? I've got mistletoe to put the two of you under!" Her eyes widened with excitement at the idea, and she began to search for her. What she found instead was the most beautiful portal to another world that she'd ever seen, and a shouted promise from Santa that this portal would take them to freedom. And honestly, that's all she'd ever really wanted. "Liam!" Upon her discovery of this portal, she took hold of his arm and began to tug him towards it. "It's perfect! It's--I've been looking for this for so long!"

Going AWAY from the portal, and saving Caroline"I thought she was." He was looking around them now, scanning the wreckage, the bodies all around them, but up and mobile and still dazed. There didn't seem to be any immediately obvious life threatening injuries, which was a little reassuring. He couldn't see Harper, hadn't since he'd entered the portal at the lighthouse, but if she was here, then she probably wasn't seriously hurt. He'd turned back to Caroline, and the sight of her frantically searching her pockets made him from. "Caroline." It didn't seem like she really grasped what was going on, which wasn't exactly outside the norm, but she seemed more...rose tinted than normal. He lifted a hand to touch her shoulder as her attention finally seemed to settle on the portal. Only she grabbed his arm instead, and proceeded to try to drag him towards it. "Hey! No, wait, we can't!" Liam dug in his heels, mostly halting the forward progression. "Caroline, that thing is dangerous." Shifting his arm, he managed to grab a hold of her wrist, and now it was him trying to pull her. "We've got to get away from it."
