It was Alyx' turn, and he looked at the potential exits, trying to feel which one was going to bring them to their ultimate goal. Of course, there was the possibility that a beetle was going to stand back up, but that wasn't really going to distract Alyx too much from picking a door. It was just going to rise to get stomped back into the dirt anyway, so he could focus on trying to sense the emanations of the boss from the other side of the darkness that transitioned the rooms. This place was massive, but Alyx couldn't imagine that there was much more of it left to explore. He picked his door and began walking toward it, crossing his fingers. He hefted his shield and prepared to keep it occupied while Rota tore it apart. Its fuse was getting fairly short, by his count. He decided to throw another thrust at it, and call it good. If Alyx didn't get it there, Rota would, and the Gloomking was not anxious to motorboat the damned thing as it flamed on. He felt a bit of strength return to him, so he flared Neo Abyssian black once more and struck out at the legionic beetle. He didn't know if he would kill it or detonate it at this point, but part of him also didn't care. He could handle the explosion, but he would rather take as little damage as possible. Despite most of the damage being minor annoyance at this point he still didn't enjoy feeling pain. This was a big roadblock in his plans, nothing more. Good God, what if it was like this every time? Doing this multiple times just to get everyone their prizes? Alyx couldn't imagine it being this difficult every time, but still, the danger was there. As it burst into light, Rota was still not convinced. the last one had gotten up twice. he would only follow Alyx when he was SURE that that was not going to happen again. His blade was slaking its thirst while he stared intently at the aether of the room. There were more green lights in the air than Alyx had ever seen, and he figured that they'd probably better kill the monsters in here quickly before they started healing like it was their job or something. There was nothing to worry about, though, it was probably just.... ********. More of those damned rats. What made these things so ******** special? They were the strongest monsters, they had poison, and they always seemed to pop up when you had a million other problems to worry about. Little bastards knew how to monopolize on an opportunity, though, he had to give them that. He charged Gloomshard with Light and proceeded toward the nearest rat, leaving the other to Rota. As the Demon Warrior readied his blade for a Double Strike he found it weird that these rats were likely the easiest creature they had faced, yet for the longest time they were entirely absent from the dungeon. Were they only put deep in where it was likely that if you were mortal that they would be able to annihilate you with their toxins? Possible. Whatever gods built this wretched place seemed to be demented enough to pull that maneuver. He brought his glowing sword down on the rodent to advance their progress through this place.
