Although he preferred staying in the great hall, Xanther didn't want Gawain thinking he was a coward. He's a man not a mouse. Quickly he follows him outside the hall. The red eyed tried not paying much attention to the shadows, but how couldn't he? No matter how he looked at it, he was afraid of them. Seeing more and more people affected by these things, he decided to turn around. "I'm going back to the hall." His voice cracked. "Better be a coward who's productive at saving other knights, than a dea-"
As he turned around, Xanther noticed two children hiding from the calamity. Who would hide in a half-broken shelter? That's just ridiculous. Without putting mind to it he approached the shelter. He wasn't going to let those kids die in the claws of those vicious things. "Come with me.." He said, trying to sound calm. "I'm getting both of you out of here. "

Since her endeavor to help everyone by following Gawain had failed spectacularly, Abbi decided she ought to just hurry back and do what she could for everyone else. She felt bad about taking supplies when she had failed to bring any back, but there were still people streaming in with new wounds and letting herself feel guilty to the point of not doing anything wasn't going to help anyone. So the girl gathered up some more things and went back to work.

THE TOTAL HEALING DONE IS 565 "This is really not what anyone means by the phrase 'use your head'." The teen sighed as she tended to another head wound, finding these unnaturally common among her patients. The person had already fainted so her admonishment wasn't heard, which was probably for the better.

The hall was a mess, buzzing with chaotic activity. Noah hauled benches into place to make cots, cleared floor space, and hunted through the hall and the surrounding area for materials he could use. There wasn't enough anywhere, and he didn't have most of what he considered a basic first aid kit, but he could make do. He gathered up enough to start with.

THE TOTAL HEALING DONE IS 570
A knight had his leg propped up on one of the benches, and was grimacing in pain. Noah could see that the wound was an angrier red than it should be, oozing, the skin around it reddened where he could see it under the torn leggings. He poured a bit of wine onto a rag and cleaned the wound, then bound it carefully. He didn't really have enough bandages. That was going to be a problem.

Quillan scrambled to get the supplies he needed to start treating patients. After all, with each delayed second, someone could die! He grabbed a small container of water as well as a lot of alcohol, expecting wounds to need disinfecting first or they risk becoming infected. He also grabbed some bindings because those would be necessary to treating wounds. However, he could only find one roll and after a few seconds of looking around, he gave up and hoped the one roll would be enough. Last of all, Quillan got some hot coals in case the worst was necessary. He quickly ran off, looking for someone to treat.

The knight slumped against the wall had a too-bloody slice in her side, and was rather too pale to be healthy. Noah attended to the wound, and gave her water to drink. If she didn't die, she'd need plenty of water.

The first knight Quillan had to treat had severe blood loss. Unfortunately for him, he needed his wound cauterized as soon as possible. The knight apprentice knew how it worked in theory, but he (fortunately) never had to do it before. He placed one of the coals on the patient's wound and waited for a few seconds before carefully removing it. He then put water on the wound and hoped that was what he was supposed to do.

There weren't a lot of bandages available; too many injuries to be wrapped, Noah supposed. He found someone's discarded tunic and ripped strips off it. It would do.

This knight was clutching his ankle, and his hands had to be pried away before Noah could clean up his wound and wrap it up. "Your hands aren't going to make it better," Noah informed the man tartly. "Could possibly make it worse." He stared down the growl he got in return.
