Distract it he did to the best of his ability. Dawson did much better with direction rather than when forced to rely on his own ingenuity, and while Maebe stabbed at the stoney cretin, he played keep away and smacked it around.

One did not simply mess with Dawson and his hat. While it might have been comical to see his shaggy hair and that dang cowlick bounce with every movement, the determination to take this stupid thing down was not to be underestimated. One could almost say he was even glaring.

Taking a page out of Maebe's book, he left no room for hesitation: when he found the sweet spot at the thing's neck, he hammered it hard again and again until the statue fractured and fell apart. His shoulders rose and fell, not so much with fatigue as it was in pent up anger. And then he retrieved his hat, dusted it off, and snapped it back on with a soft snort of his own. Maebe came out from hiding, and dropped her hand away from her face, letting out one dusty cough before continuing to stare, in awe, at the mess Dawson's hatless anger had made. She walked very slowly over to him, staring wide eyed up as the aggression slowly left him, and let out a small, sharp little noise. "I am so turned on right now." Honesty was important. "Thankfully!" She piped up, sucking in a deep breath and turning towards the temple. "We're about to go dunk ourselves in water. So you're safe from being sexually harassed. This time." True to her words, she dove in quickly, and proceeded to get flung back to the start not once, not twice, but three solid times in a row. She laid there for a minute, and grinned up at him. "I'm fine now." Stamina: 21 medigel here you can try one if you want /lays down

He made a sheepish noise and rubbed at his stinging cheeks. The problem with Maebe wasn't her teasing, it was whether or not she was really joking. Thankfully the pool provided a great distraction.
Dawson didn't fare much better. He almost seemed to bounce as he hit the floor.

Dawson waddled to the end happily this time and looked proud that he actually did this time. Turning around, he waved Maebe over and cheered her on, promising bandages since that seemed to be a great motivator. (And who didn't want to be peppered in awesome bandaids?) Waving her in gave her the confidence to try again, but as soon as she stepped in the water, she realized she was looking for vines but forgetting that blackness that hadn't touched her in some while. When it slid up her legs, and tugged her down into its depths, she felt a shudder of something other than repulsion, and ran back to the shore even faster than usual, because this was not a porno. The next times she attempted it, she made sure to watch for the darkness, and missed a vine. Despite the ache in her back, this was a preferable option; but she was observant for both obstacles the third time, sliding down onto the dry shore as quickly as possible and returning his cheer. "I want a Captain America one." She demanded, pointing at her inner thigh. "Right there." Stamina: 16 medigel for the first time ever I hope the goddamn hydra does eat her.

"Uhhhhhhhh..." Cheeks reddening, he struggled over what to do and then just hastily forked over a Captain America for Maebe to place wherever she pleased. "There y-ya go, hun." That seemed the safest option here.
Maybe the temple was punishing him for his impure thought anyway. The spirit of the bull they had crushed came back with a vengeance, alongside a stone boar that ran him twice as ragged. He was glad for the excuse to run away really really fast, though.

Cautiously he stepped towards the end of the room, wheezing and starting to feel his limbs grow heavy. Something kept tickling at the back of his neck, and impulsively he kept slapping it with a wince. Bugs or the tongues of a hydra, he really, really didn't want to know.

The smirk on her face when he stumbled away after handing her that bandage was downright sinister. She unwrapped it noisily and smacked the bandage on an actual wound, instead of the phantom one she'd demanded her thigh was suffering from. When she hopped up to walk, she felt the judging stare of the twin birds, and shrugged at them innocently. "What?" She mouthed out, before giving them the most saccharine smile.
The over-exaggerated sweetness caught the attention of the cerberus, who felt like driving her awful self back out of the temple. Talk about impure thoughts..
