Misa took out red onion, green onion, soy sauce, salt and pepper, chicken, and carrots. First the teen got to cutting the chicken breast into small pieces that could fit in her mouth. Sounds were emitted as her knife made contact with the cutting board and the breast soon vanished into long slices of its former self. Replacing the pan on the fire with another Misa placed the cooked rice within. As the rice began to cook she added the season along with the chicken. It was a rather quick process but a process still the same.

When all was said and done, Misa’s meal was done. Though the girl did make sure to place all the dirty objects within the pale of water. Only one though since she would use the other to clean the plates and anything that was used in the cooking process. The blue creature, nearly half-done with its meal looked off to the human. It was actually mesmerized how she handled her food. It was a first for the Squirtle as its eyes stayed glued on the girl who moved around. The blue one just sat itself by the girl and resumed eating its food. Misa wasn’t sure why it had come over but it did make her happy. The two of them ate in silence as everyone else was beginning to finish up their meals. Squirtle felt content seeing and being a part of this life. The other Pokemon seemed happy with this life too.

”Ah! That was really good!” The human girl finished up its meal with Squirtle. The blue Pokemon expressed the same feelings when it was done with its own food. Yet, while those two had finished up their food there was some activity going on around. Venusaur, Pidgeotto, and Growlithe were informing the newcomers of their new duty. Since the other members (Butterfree, Pikachu and Dewgong) weren’t here, it was now up to them to fill in their shoes. It actually didn’t sink in for some time with the Ground-types, maybe because they were so dense and filled with warm food in their tummies.

Venusaur, being the most senior of all the other Pokemon, gazed down at the three Ground-types. Sandshrew looked like it was beginning to understand as it was picking up everyone’s bowls. Geodude and Dugtrio didn’t know what their roles could be. The seed Pokemon informed the Geodude to take the items off the stove and to put some water into it.

As Geodude had two human hands it could move things a lot easily than the others. Venusaur had its vines and Sandshrew did have two arms. Pidgeotto was usually in charge of drying off the dishes since it couldn’t use its hands to do anything else. Plus its wind power did come in use when drying things off. Venusaur helped picked things up, normally did most of the heavy lifting and moved things around when they needed to be moved. Growlithe kept an eye on security as it made an excellent guard dog.

However, if some extra drying needed to be done then they could count on the Puppy Pokemon for that task. What Dugtrio would do was also be in charge of security. As the three-headed Pokemon was a part of the ground it would be that much easier for it to sense enemies or approaching creatures. So two Pokemon would be in charge of keeping up with security for the entire night. Dugtrio would sense creatures from the ground while Growlithe tried to sense things from the sky. It wasn’t perfect but they did what they could for the human.

A green vine approached Misa as she finished her meal. The girl looked to face the Venusaur that wasn’t quite looking her way. It could never be completely honest with her. The human girl handed the plate with utensils to the seed Pokemon and watched go off to the Pokemon at work. Geodude scooped up the blue Pokemon’s empty bowl and began to work on cleaning it. Touching water was one thing but being sprayed with it was another. The Geodude still had a grudge against that Squirtle for using its Water Gun.

The teen could gander a few thoughts explaining why most of her Pokemon acted the way they did. Specifically they included Pokemon from her original party: Venusaur, Pidgeotto, and Growlithe. Those three would discreetly or just bluntly tell her to relax and to just watch from the sidelines. In the beginning she didn’t have this trouble but as they traveled more the Pokemon began to take up on this responsibility. Though, this was not anything that the girl taught them, it was a skill they learned by themselves.

With things being tidied up, the cooking instrument being dried, the water being changed, and the fire still burning; it was about time for their desserts. ”Now you all know I don’t need help with this…” Ivysaur was already getting a head start on peeling the berries that they attained. The human was peeling the skin of the fruit too. The floating rock and Sandshrew were doing their best to get on this peeling of the fruit too. Growlithe didn’t have the thumbs to do this nor did Pidgeotto and Dugtrio.

Those who were unable to cut the fruit looked around for something to do. Growlithe stayed by the fire, keeping an eye on the small bundle of life, Dugtrio kept an eye on security while Pidgeotto stayed in the trees to gaze around the area. Those three would only be good for security in the meantime. Nothing wrong with extra eyes on the ground or the sky, it was just a question of what else needed to be done. With two Pokemon keeping an eye on the scene, there really wasn’t a need for a third.
