"Thank you very much," she breathed out as she stood up grabbing her parasol that was rested against her chair. She should go home and sleep, but se also sort of wanted to see Jacob as well...maybe she would go pay him a visit and they could take a nap together. Prim strolled over to the door, opening it slightly and glancing back at Kathy. "See you around, Kathy." Prim chirped as happily as she could managed before she opened her parasol and left the cafe, ready to go to bed.

Kathryn turned to the sound of the door and Prim's voice, giving her a small wave. A hand tapped her shoulder and she looked back over to the cashier, who gave her back her credit card. She smiled and thanked him, putting the card away and heading for the door herself. She felt around until her fingers skimmed over the trash can and she through her garbage away, downing her coffee and tossing that as well. She pushed the door open and took a deep breath of fresh air. She turned and started to walk away from the shop, happy and caffeinated. She walked, tapping her cane to the opposite of her walking. Right foot, left tap, left foot, right tap so fourth and further more. She opened her purse and felt around, opening a packet of mints and popping on in her mouth, not wanting to have coffee breath all day. She wondered if she would run into else today, she wondered how either interactions would differ from the one she had just finished. She was past the cafe now, she thinks and she kept walking. She wondered a lot of thing, somewhere in the list she wondered what color the sky was. Something that often occupied her thoughts.

.•°☂*(¯`❀´¯)*¤° ♚ °¤*(¯´❀`¯)*☂°• Geneviève came to a stop in front of the cafe's door and waiting patiently for her friend to catch up, rocking on her heels cheerfully as she hummed a bit. However now that she was thinking about it she wasn't actually sure if it was polite to refer to someone she's only spoken to twice as a friend, or maybe it was just wishful thinking of wanting to make at least one friend, but she knew she definitely didn't want to make things awkward. Oh well, for now she'd hold her tongue on the situation until it came up in conversation, if it ever did come up in conversation.

Florence followed the female and smiled happily as he continued to follow until they were their which he was thankful for since he was getting tired of carrying his bags, perhaps he should have asked to stop by his house first to drop them off? It was to late anyways but he was glad to have a new acquittance..... Or friend possibly? Ah he was acting likely Flora now that he thought about all though by now she would have been calling her a strange nickname and consider her a best friend or something like that. Nina shivered a bit as she quickly went into the cafe. Why was it so cold! Not that she wasn't used to the cold, it was just... She had been expecting it to be more tropical weather on an island like this! Sighing softly and shaking her head a little bit, the young woman then looked around the building. Well. At least it was warm in here. Her boots made a soft click with each step she made towards the counter. She had just recently moved to this island just today so she had no clue where anything was, but this cafe appeared to be a cute little place. She had never been to a cafe before. Back when she had been living with her parents, she wasn't allowed to leave her home. After they had exiled her, the young woman had nearly starved to death if it hadn't been for the kind family the found her and fed her. She had stayed with them for a week before going out on the streets again. Just recently she had pawned off practically every last item she had, which sold for a lot of money. This island was the furthest spot she could find from her home and she recently bought a house here without even looking into how it looked. She just wanted a fresh start. Smoothing out her skirt, the raven haired woman then looked up at the menu. "Welcome to Moonbucks cafe what can I get you?" The girl behind the counter asked. "Um. Could I have a second to look over the menu please?" The woman asked softly, smiling as the girl nodded her head. Looking at the menu again, Nina hummed softly as she tapped her nails agaisnt the counter. Everything sounded good? She wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to order yet!

It was a cold day out, Toby shivered before shoving his hands into his coat pockets. Why did he decide to come out in town with such light clothing? It was so cold he could see each breath he drew! His skin was drying up from the sharp air and he wasn't sure he could feel his toes anymore. "No it's a great day to wear light clothes...." He complained in a mocking tone. On top of freezing his butt off, Toby had no Idea where he was! Being new in town really did suck when you had no friends, job or any cognitive map of the place you lived. He really didn't want to be out here! On the other hand he knew if he didn't go job hunting he'd be kicked out of his place and put on the streets sooner than later. As he walked down the cold sidewalk, Toby could feel the strange looks he was getting. He had to admit he was dressed a bit over the top, and under-clothed considering the weather, for an average person but it was how he preferred to be when out in public. Every interaction could be a first impression after all. Toby continued to make his way down the streets of the city until he came across a small cafe. Figuring he could use a cup of coffee to help warm him up he pushed open the door and entered. He was promptly greeted by what he assumed to be a worker of the establishment and simply waved as he maneuvered his way to a place to sit. He managed to find a seat at the dining counter next to an attractive woman.
Toby sat down and gave the woman a slight wave followed by a soft smile. He turned his attention to the woman in front of the counter ready to take his order right after. "Hmm... I will have... How about we make it simple and get a tall cup of coffee, black please. And whatever my new friend here wants." He said with a bright smile before looking over at the woman sitting next to him. Dragging people into conversations was Toby's specialty, he was a people person...According to himself. Before the woman had time to react, Toby had his hand out for a handshake. "I'm Tobias King, but my friends call my Toby. Much more down to earth, don't you agree?" He said with another smile. ◤Out.Of.Croissants◥

Toby was slightly surprised that the woman didn't tell him to buzz off or call him a cheap flirt. He chuckled at her genuine thankfulness. "Don't worry about it. I'm new in town so I figured this was the best way to make friends!" He said with a cheesy grin. It was nice to see that some people were nice and didn't think that he was trying to be a flirt. Toby drummed his fingers along the counter for a moment before the woman introduced herself. "Nina, the name sounds foreign although I'm not one to talk. Are you from around here?" He asked as he propped his elbow onto the counter and placed his cheek in his palm. The next thing he knew, Toby had his cup of coffee sitting in front of him. He looked up at the barista and flashed her a smile. "I hope you put all of your love in this~" He teased before taking a sip of the hot coffee. The drink burned his tongue a bit but it wasn't enough to make him flinch. After taking a sip, Toby set down the coffee and sighed in relief. "Phew! I needed something to warm me up. It's so damn cold out!" He said as he turned his head to look outside at the snowy city. He had to admit it was a bit strange to see snow on an island, but he'd seen stranger things.◤Out.Of.Croissants◥

Nina looked at Toby then smiled a bit. He did have a point there. It had definitely made her interested in talking to him. Not that she would have ignored him otherwise! She was usually a pretty nice person that was open to talking to anyone that tried to be her friend. The raven haired woman then smiled again before she shook her head. "No. I just moved to this island. My boat actually just landed here maybe a couple hours ago." She said, tilting her head to the side a little as she saw the coffee and muffin placed in front of her. "Thank you." She said to the barista. Picking up the cup, she then took a sip, not too affected by the heat, she shivered a little as it warmed her up. Setting the cup down, Nina turned to Toby again. "Yes. I was startled to see such cold weather. Not that I am too bothered by it. I just don't care for the cold." She said with a bit of a chuckle. Picking up her muffin, she removed the wrapper and took a bite. Mmm! It tasted delicious! Taking another bite, she set the muffin down on the plate it had come on before picking up her coffee again and taking another drink. "So how long have you been living on the island?" She said, knowing he hadn't lived here long, but that could mean he had been living there for a few days or a few months.

Toby figured that the woman wasn't from around here but wouldn't have guessed that she had arrived only hours ago. He raised an eyebrow in surprise, not sure what to say for a few moments. "Really, I thought you'd have been here for at least a few days by now." He stated as he reached for his coffee. He wrapped his fingers around the hot mug and brought it up to his lips. Toby raised an eyebrow again when Nina mentioned the weather, so it seemed he wasn't the only one finding the snow on the island odd. He finished taking a sip of his coffee right as Nina followed up her statement with a question. "I've been here for roughly a week...give or take a few days." He said trying to recall exactly how long he'd been here. Toby scratched the side of his cheek as he pondered, had it already been a week? He needed to find a job and fast. "Even though I've been here for a while I honestly haven't gotten around, been busy house hunting I guess..." He said sheepishly rubbing the nape of his neck. It was a bit embarrassing that he had no Idea where anything was even though he'd been here for already a week! After pondering why he didn't know where anything was, Toby began to drum his fingers on the counter as he tried to think of a topic. He puffed his cheeks in frustration before coming up with something. "So what brings someone like you to this quaint island?" He asked curiously.◤Out.Of.Croissants◥

Nina chuckled softly then shook her head a little bit. "Nope." She said as she picked up her muffin and took a bite, glancing over at Toby as he told her that he had been here only a week. So he hadn't been here long either, though much longer than she hand. The raven haired woman then gave a small chuckle. "I haven't even seen my house yet. I bought it without going to look at it." Sure it was bit of a risk for her to do that, but she really didn't have a choice. She had been living on the streets, cold and hungry. After selling practically everything she owned, she had purchased a hone on this island. While it may end terribly, she just wanted to be as far from her former home as she could. Picking up her coffee, she took a drink and smiled a bit. Some hot coffee was really nice of such a cold day like this. Picking up the muffin once more and taking a bite, she set it down. Turning to Toby once more, she rubbed her arm a little bit. "I just wanted to have a fresh start s all..." She said softly, feeling that it would be inappropriate to tell him the full truth of why she left, after all, he was a stranger to her. "How about yourself?" She asked curiously, looking at him and tilting her head a little bit.

Toby was a bit surprised that she had bought her place without even looking at it. Even if she had looked at it the pictures could be old and the house could look completely different! "Are you sure that was the best idea? Who knows what the house could actually look like." He said in a worried tone. Toby went for another sip of his coffee but found it empty, he flipped the cup over and frowned. He turned his attention back to the woman sitting next to him. So she wanted a fresh start, he knew the feeling. Tobias wondered what was going on in his hometown, there wasn't a day that went by where he didn't have second thoughts about leaving. He knew that it was for the best though. Staying with his family would have lead to his downfall and he'd be living on the streets. "I guess you could say I had a few family problems..." He said as he sheepishly rubbed the nape of his neck. Talking about "that" always offset his mood. The upbeat male seemed to do a 180, becoming very reserved.
This was no time to be moping, this was his fresh start! Toby slapped his hands onto his cheeks before looking back at the raven haired woman with a goofy grin. "How about I give you my number and we can hang-out sometime!" He said grabbing a napkin and writing down his number and his address, in case she needed anything for her place. He placed the napkin in Nina's hand before sliding out of his chair and brushing himself off. "It's getting a bit late, you might want to head home before it gets any colder!" He said giving the woman a wink as he left. He didn't get much done but making a friend counted as something!
