Sumire smiled at him, happy to have made a new friend. "I'm Itou Sumire, remember? Silly boy!" her giggles cut off suddenly as she heard something shuffling around in the grass. She looked over Aski's shoulder and saw a tawny hide that reminded her of -- She eased to her feet, her eyes taking in the rest of the lions that circled them. Her voice was uncharacteristically hushed as she spoke to her teammates. "Guys...I think you should get up now." Her gaze remained fixed upon the lion directly in front of her. "And don't make any sudden moves, okay?"

He followed Shinichi into the Great Plains, hopefully, they would be able to catch up to the others. "What are we looking for.." he mumbled looking around for something.

((Are there still lions here?)) Shinichi looked around, a small crease appearing on his brow. Didn't Koro-sensei mentioned that this would be something of a treasure hunt and survival test? Maybe this was the wrong location or perhaps there was a hidden message on the instructions. He unrolled the map and examined it once more. The boy laid the scroll on the ground and traced the path they took. There was nothing out of the ordinary, save for a map that was kind of difficult to comprehend. And yet this is exactly where they were supposed to be. There was no mistaking the landmarks and paths that led here. Shinichi remained alert, looking around for any signs of an exercise. He sniffed the air, admiring how aromatic the atmosphere was here. Looking back over the instructions, Shinichi's eyes widened as he realised that this would be their class' very last training exercise before the genin exams. Time had passed too quickly.

[A note to all other Academy Students: The two teams are on separate ends of the Great Plains. This will avoid confusion and general ickyness.]
Myobi arrived slightly out of breath in the Great Plains. She didn't see anyone but Kohki around. Maybe Shinichi had stopped somewhere for a moment? Still, it did give her a warm glow of satisfaction to know that she'd beaten at least one of them. She moved closer to Kohki, "Um...I don't know. The map just said to come here. I'm sure that Koro-sensei had something in mind when he sent us here." She glanced around, more out of habit than expecting anything to be seen.

Suddenly, Myobi answered his question. "I see..." he said looking around. Ah, Shinichi is right there.. he said walking over to him. He squatted down to see the map. Was there a hidden message that gave a clue there smewhere?

Shinichi picked at a piece of grass, wondering what to do next. Maybe Koro-sensei had intentionally left the instructions vague so that his students would have to figure out what to do. That sounded reasonable. Since they were looking for something, clues and hints, someone would have to search the surrounding plains. Plus, this was a field of many herbs and plants so that could be something to look for. He also couldn't forget about the map and letter, so someone would have to scan that also. Shinichi formulated a plan and faced his teammates, prepared to remain active instead of inactive. "Um," he began, ignoring the lump that always formed when he spoke, "Someone needs to search the map while the other two look around for clues." Yes, that was it. Koro-sensei could have them find plants, either for medicine or food.

"I'll search around for something" Kohki stated. He raised his ams shoulder level, and released the Kikaichu. "Search for something that might help us.." he told the kikaichu. But, what... he thought looking around as well.

[I'm really sorry about not being on guys. I promise to give you something to do tonight. My posts won't be very long...]
Sumire's Group:
The lion's all stayed low and attentive to what was going on with the young girls and boy in their meadow. Their territorial senses slowly began to kick in as their mouths snarled back to growl.
[To calm the lions: DC: 15 1d20 + Handle Animal You get once chance to do this. If all three of you fail, then you'll be attacked.]
Shinichi's Group:
Koro had set something up for his group of quiet ones. An extensive work of wires and bells were looped around the grasslands in their area. There was a pole holding a scroll off in the tall grasses, however around it were thin pieces of fishing wire that was connected with a trap that would release sleeping gas into the area.

"Ok, i see now" Aski said slowly getting up and thinking of what to do. "Im not gonna let them get Aya and Sumire.." he thought confidently to himself. "Maybe i can coax the lions to be calm?" he thought. Coming up with nothing else he tried this. "Lions, you do not want us. What would your masters say? Would they approve of your cold blood killings? I think not!" he said trying to sound as brave as possible. "Leave! And Do not try to hurt us! We will bring you no harm if you do the same for us!"

((Sorry guys, but I'm going for it.)) Shinichi scowled and pocketed the map again. Face it, there was nothing. The only clues they would have would come from the environment itself. He remained in his place, still crouching not too far from the ground. If he knew Koro-sensei at all, the man would have placed an obvious clue somewhere to get the group started, then progressed from there. At least, that was seemed reasonable. Shinichi held his hand above his eyes and quickly scanned the plains, searching for any sign of the beginning of the survival exercise.

[sorry, I just used what it said in the battle system to find an obscure clue -____- Can I use my last post for the search thing? xD I mean copy and paste it and roll again or something? Never mind.... I'll do spot then...] Kohki released the Kikaichu in order to find something as well. He raised his hands up to his shoulders, and released them. The Kikaichu flew around. "Look for something.. uhm... suspiciousm, I guess.." he told them.

[Yay, Aski!]
Aya froze as she heard the rumbling growl of a lion. Sumire had noticed it before she had. The little girl turned around slowly to look at a lion behind her. It seemed there was more than just one as they got closer. Aya cringed at Aski's words as he tried to get the animals to back off. The lions seemed to snarl and grow closer with his words. "That's not working," the little girl said. Getting on her hands and knees, Aya bowed her head down and then flattened herself against the grass like a scared little cat. She hoped that this would be an offensive gesture to the lions and they would see that their group meant no harm. Slowly, it began to work. "Aski, get down..." Aya whispered to him. If they all looked passive and inferior to the lions then they would hopefully back away and know that the students wouldn't be a threat...

((Please let this work...)) Yes, there! Shinichi spotted a pole in the distance with what appeared to be a scroll hanging from the top. He advanced eagerly towards the scroll, but stopped just a little beforehand. Maybe it was smarter to look around before he went in, in case there were any other clues or dangers scattered around. If this were truly a survival test, it wouldn't be so easy to get to the first clue. Then again, they had passed the first trial by figuring out the map... Shinichi hesitated before finally scanning the ground for any sign of malice.
