Jordan skidded to a halt in the lobby, looking around in startled incredulity. "What the ********, there were - " He looked to Rep and Jerry. "I know you guys saw them too," he said, an edge of desperation lurking hidden in his voice.

[CREEPY EMPTY LOBBY]
"I ******** did." Rep said anxiously. "This whole place was full of them. What the <********> is going on here?"
Jerry was huffing as he trotted to Jordan's side, looking around frantically, "They... there were thousands of them!" They were in the Sahara- or so he thought he had read on Mark's instruments- an illusion maybe?
Frantically, without putting his weapon away, he glanced back to the stairwell to make sure their two "civilians" were still in view.
She lagged behind the group, the fire extinguisher tucked under one arm and the nozzle held at ready in the other. They were right, of course: what other option did she have? An uneasy look was dropped down to her arm. She could have sworn she had been chewed in several places. Hell, there even was a vivid memory of pulling her own arm out of a co-worker's mouth and screaming at how painful the motion was.
And yet... Her arm didn't look like it had gone through anything at all. The only hints that something like that ever occurred was the blood stains on her sleeve. The building was always too cold for her, even if it made her look like she wasn't in the luau spir-- what was that?
Aria (short for Ariadne thank you very much) stopped and tilted her head to one side. "Did... Did someone call me?"
A loud groaning came from above. Ariadne shook her head; that wasn't what she meant. The boy in the lead shouted something as the ceiling collapsed.
When the rubble cleared, the only thing visible that indicated Aria's location was the now dusty fire extinguisher that could be half-seen over a still-twitching and still-biting zombie.
Quote:
Aria is now buried! It's up to you to decide whether or not time should be spent to dig her up and out, assuming y'know she's still alive after that.
If you decide to dig her out, three people will need to start diggin'. But you should first take care of that zombie first...
The floor was indeed abandoned, and further exploration would reveal, other than some sizeable bloodstains in various tiles on the floor - and large open glass sliding doors - there was literally, nothing moving in sight.
"Hey, a security guy! We can ask them!" Allen ran over to accost a man slumped over in the security desk, wearing a bloodstained outfit, but the officer did not move. Their head also fell off after the not-quite Sun lead shook it a little too vigorously. Thunk-thunk-thunk went the head as it, from the force of being detached of course, went rolling a little further. "Huh, I guess he was sleeping after all."
"Allen-" came an impatient sort of voice, "Don't - " he suddenly paused. "Wait. Has anyone seen Circe?" Frowning, he went to backtrack his steps by the stairs.

[Floor Oh s**t]
Jordan gritted his teeth and followed Staplerless Guy. He wasn't about to attempt to separate a man and his weapon, but he sure as hell wasn't going to let him get out of sight.
Oh that's just...wonderful. Candace was completely prepared to attempt fighting off the larger than average zombie hoard until she heard a strange sound. What was that cracking? The walls? No it was coming from somewhere else--
Before Candace could finish her thought the floor collapsed beneath them not just once but twice.
Once they were finally stationary she groaned and shoved a metal desk off her, though she did just lay there after with her eyes closed an her face scrunched up with distinct unhappiness. "Fffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck..." she hissed, rolling onto her stomach with a soft grunt and getting up on her hands and knees. When she heard Marcus calling out for them she raised an arm, head bowed as if to hide her shame behind a small curtain of black hair. "I'm good! I'll be fine..just...gonna feel that in the morning..." <******** style="color: #7507AE">"Metal desks are not fun when they land on top of you, I'm just saying...Dakota?" Candace lifted her head and got up to sit on one knee, ready to stand at a moment's notice despite the soreness in her entire body. They couldn't just stop. "Where's Edith? Where are we now?" Excuse her for not keeping track of how many floors she fell while she was being buried in debris.
Wait...did she hear Aria just now? "Aria?" Instead she saw other familiar faces, those of Wilson and Ryan. "Oh..hey..."

-there would be an eyetwitch gif here if I didn't hate them -
Rep was relieved to see Jordan go after the man-formerly-known-as-stapler-guy and instead turned his attention to Allen who had managed to just knock the head off a security guard who was hopefully dead before he got there. "......" he watched the head roll to a stop and poked it with his foot experimentally. "Um. Allen. Maybe you shouldn't touch anything in here."

[ FLOOR 6 ]
Ami nodded in solemn agreement with Kat. "We could ah ... bind you and take you to the police. That way you won't hurt anyone on the way. Nor hurt anyone here in the office still."
A casual look to the undead that continued to mill about.

He righted himself and then smiled pleasantly while reaching out for Ami. Moments later his hand was clutching that arm, as if trying to hold it back from from her. "You....you better do it quick. I don't know how long I can last before I kill again!"

[ Lobby of The Admin Hate You ]
There was a notable long, very long streak of blood that curved from where the emergency stair doors started to the tip of the first flight of stairs. They tapered off after that, the floors towards the basement dyed a deep red. Not-quite-stapler guy didn't notice at all, or decided not to pay attention to it, as they continued to backtrack their steps until - "There she is!" With a huge sigh of relief, he picked up his stapler, frowned a bit, wiped it with the inside of his shirt, and then as an afterthought, picked up the first aid kit as well, because that would be really bad to continue onwards without having a save point and medkit.
"Whoah!" Shouted Allen from the hallway, having moved away from the sleeping man, as per Rep's request. "Look what I found!"
He picked up two semi-automatic rifles and a few more standard issue handguns.
