Andie kept up his climb despite the setbacks. But it didn't take long for him to falter thanks to some uneven parts and hit his face.

Unfortunately for Andie, the bit of uneven parts he had found was not the last and he got a repeat performance.

Finally after all his hard work, Andie made it to the top of the machine. He gave a tired/pained grin in happiness. He walked over to the glowing orbs and carefully chose one of them.

Amati had never been to this part of the Spire before. It felt warm here, and there was a light up ahead. Curious, she kept walking until the tunnel she was in opened up into a large room, full of machinery but devoid of people. The ground was glowing and hot, and she didn't want to touch it, but she didn't want to turn back, either. She saw a platform she could get to the other side across and figured it would be worth a shot.
She wasn't expecting to have fireballs hurled at her though, and she ran as fast as she could, managing to get only lightly singed.
The room on the other side of the platform was freezing cold, probably because of that giant fan. Amati looked around for something to make it stop, and eventually fount a piece of rubble. She threw it at the fan with the hope that the rock would break it, but it only bounced back and hit her.
At this point, Amati wasn't really feeling well. She hurt, and she just wanted to get out of here. She tried one more time, throwing a rock with all of her limited strength, and miraculously, the fan stopped. She waited for a moment to make sure that it was really off before moving on.
Amati had only taken her first step up towards the top of the generator when she tripped and fell face-first onto the hot metal. She awoke to find herself outside, but feeling much better.
Vane had thought this tunnel led to the way out of the Spire, but was surprised to find a large room at the end of it instead. It was warm in here, and it looked kind of cool, so he decided he wanted to explore it. He changed his mind after nearly getting set on fire as he walked across a platform, but he couldn't turn back now.
Being knocked on her butt three times while trying to cross the first testing room confirmed that this place was totally not safe, but never the less on the other side she stopped the look behind her, waiting patiently.
