What reputation? They were in a wasteland, gathering fragments to give to some goddess figures to become more whole, and they'd been blessed by Ruin. Nevertheless, that was the word that rose unbidden into Raumias' mind when she tried to pinpoint why the notion of anyone else knowing about her offer made her uneasy.

Alright, so the fragments were on to her. She rose to her feet, and tried a stealth tactic to catch another. She just wanted five, why in the name of Ruin was this so hard?
The stealth tactic worked. Okay, she had three, now. Two more. Slivers of a voice: Soul kinda . . . is there? Is like . . . Battery! Like battery. She only caught a couple of the words, the more clear ones. It made her feel warm: she couldn't understand why these distance voices, for the moment she heard them, made her react that way.
Perhaps she could not repeat any one tactic? Raumias looked down at her clothing, wondering if she could use anything as a net, but it didn't seem like it.
This time, she thought perhaps if she positioned herself in the way of something, maybe she could stand still and snag one as it darted into her. Especially if she stood near someone else who was trying to catch them.

Red. He decided red was a very good color to have on no grounds other than it being what he was blessed with. It made sense that the Goddess of Ruin would send them to ruins to scavenge, though . . . Tch. These lights were bothersome. Sable attempted to grab one and watched it slip out of his fingers like it was nothing, and he grumbled.

Raumias sought out someone who looked like they might not have become an expert at catching the fragments yet, and waited nearby. "If you make wild gestures, they might be drawn to you?" she suggested, with a shrug.
Mostly she just wanted them to scare some fragments this way. Wait, could they be scared? Why did they insist on dodging them, anyway? If she'd had more time or will to think about it, she might have considered they didn't want to be amalgamated into her.
Looks like it wouldn't work, if they weren't already in the process of scaring some away. What a pity.

She strolled casually by the individual she'd been speaking to, as if to try to glean more of their features. She paused, doubled back, and stood close to them, staring.
"Can you see the difference? Every time I try to focus, my eyes get all weird," she said. "But there must be some way to tell us all apart. Shades of grey?"
Raumias tilted her head, crossed her arms over her chest, and out of her peripherals watched a fragment floating lazily by. With a lightning fast motion, she shot one hand out and gripped it firmly, pulling it towards herself.
She was grinning widely when she heard another voice: You insinuatin' I aint got secrets of the juicy sort?
Raumias smiled, and mumbled to herself: "I am hardly insinuating anything..." before she realized she'd spoken aloud, and could not remember why. She shook her head, and pretended she was talking to the fragment.
That made it more normal right.

Cue some hand flailing and perhaps a little growling. That seemed to do the trick! The fragment hissed like a person at him, saying only one word: "Woman."

Despite standing near to them, Raumias considered racing down the path to catch a fragment she saw milling with some other ones: that drastically increased her chances, after all, didn't it?
But on second thought, there was one very close, just... too high up. Perhaps if she took a running leap...
She clearly just wanted to run. Get moving. Go someplace. Why? Who knew. "I have no idea what they are," she admitted, with a vague gesture that indicated she had not really thought about it much, and did not particularly care either way.
She was definitely back to being a jerk.

Raumias hated all the fragments right then because she just wanted them to bow to her will and they were doing what they wanted instead of what she wanted, and that was a very big problem for her.
Regression: she was doing it. Maybe her memories did shape her, and without them, this is who she had become again.

Some part of her, locked up inside, wanted to catch a fragment not just to fulfill the task, but also because she wanted to hear more of those phantom voices: she didn't quite care or remember what they had been saying, but she cared about the way her heart pulsed when she heard them.
What were they, these fragments she was catching? She hadn't quite learned to associate them with the voices, not on a cognitive level, but on some deeper impulsive level she understood.
With a frustrated spinning kick, Raumias knocked one clean out of the air and down into her collection of them, beaming at them like they'd finally done what she wanted them to and that made them good little fragments.
Good tools to further her own ends.
Raumias happily bid farewell to whatever she had been thinking before, and was about to figure out what the hell to do about all these things, when the last phantom snippet drifted towards her: "Ah! See, everything is good now, Amarus!"
She couldn't hear the second half of it; it had faded out. It certainly hadn't let her hear that last bit, no.

Anni Rohn walked back to where the other figures were, some wandering, others still trying to obtain their fragments. Their floating, wispy forms and glowing cores reminded her of ghosts. 'Is that what we are? Just shadows of someone from a different world?' But that couldn't be true, they were chosen, born. They were the ones pulled from the mist. She sat down in her original spot, watching the ones who hadn't finished their tasks. She contemplated helping them, but decided that maybe they were on a quest meant for them and them alone.

Andie watched quietly as Koala continued to go after the fragments, content to just sit there for now. At least until she had five of them and turned back to him anyway. He smiled back at her and chuckled. "Just call me lucky Andie then." He joked. "Yep, at the Shrine. Ready to go?" He asked, standing up and holding a hand out to help her up as well.

Atictel was doing a little bit of extra wandering through the area just in case she was needed.
It wouldn't take her very long to find disturbed looking figure not seeming to want to do much of anything anymore. There was a desire to try and make things better for them but there was also a bit of confusion - what could she do.
Awkwardly she wandered over, "Umm..A..Are you alright?"
