"Sounds like a good idea." Darian says. "It'll give us something to do."

Lael nodds. "I don't know much about this place, but we're looking for the leader, right? That means look for the biggest most importaint looking building. And the biggest most importaint looking building should be in the center of the town," she says, pointing down the road towards the center of Eko. She sets walks in that direction. I hope I know where I'm going, she thinks, fairly sure that she's going in the right direction but not entirely sure.

"Makes sense to me." Darian replies, catching up to Lael.

She nodds. Reaching what seems to be the village square she points to a large, importaint-looking building. "That one looks promising," she says.
((Ack! I'm getting them mixed up! This is what happens when I don't go back and check. I'm horrible with names, and that includes the names of villages/cities/places. I'm sorry. I edited the post and fixed it. sweatdrop ))

"Indeed it does." Darian replies. He had no idea if she was right or not. Wealthy elves sometimes liked to flaunt their wealth by buying fancy houses, just like wealthy humans.

Kitara rounds a corner and finds a blackhaired man sitting outside a house. She automatically recognizes the man and bows to him.
"Lord Okalwa, I'm sorry to bother you but we must talk," she says before waiting for his response.
The man looks up, his hair shifting to reveal pointed ears. He stands up and nods to the blue haired elvish lady.
"I am listening, Kitara Elvini."

Lael nodds. "Either that or it's the town hall, in wich case we'll be able to find out where the leader is." She walks up to the building and goes inside. Inside there is a large circular room with a high, dome celling. The building is indeed the town hall. Lael looks around curiously at everything. "Well, it's not the leader's home, but close enough. I wonder where we'll be able to find someone who knows where it is."

"There?" Darian suggests, motioning to a woman standing behind a counter. He was guessing that this woman worked for the village leader. Why else would she be behind a counter in the town hall? The well polished oak counter glistened in the light coming in from the windows. Dwarves may be excelent at stonework but when it comes to making things out of wood we elves have them beat, Darian thinks to himself.

Kitara, after sending Jay to find her cousin and the albino lady, starts talking to the elf lord explaining about the whole situation. She, motioning to her quiver, mentions the dagger then goes on to talk about the ambush outside of the town, motioning to the swords that she has resting against her leg.
"My cousin has the map, if you don't believe me, my lord, after what I have said about this," she says, "Though I do believe you understand and believe what I say."
He nods and says, "You talk about Darian, do you not? It's been a while since I've seen any of the Moonleafs, besides you, Kitara. I'd like to see him again, since the last I saw him was when he was a babe."
The elvish lady takes her quiver off and says, "You'll see him, Lord Okalwa. I can assure you of that."

Lael nodds. "Yup. She'll probably know." She starts to walk up to the desk when she catches a glimps of something out of the courner of her eye. Turning she sees Jay. "Darian, it's Jay," she says, pointing. She goes to Jay and holds out a hand for him to land on, so he won't have to tire himself out flying in one spot. "Did Kitara send you?" she asks. "What does she want?"

Jay lands on her hand and bobs his head to the first question. He then, ruffling his feathers, twitters something before flying towards Kitara again, hoping that they'll follow his lead.

Darian quickly catches up to Lael. I can't believe I'm allowing myself to be lead by a bird. he thinks to himself. The elf knows that Jay is no ordinary bird, but he looks the same as any other.

Jay quickly leads the two to Kitara's side. The elvish lady pauses, looking up from a conversation with Lord Okalwa.
"Darian, this is the man I told you of, dealing with your shoulder. I've told him the whole situation. He's willing to help us prepare the village for an attack though he's worried it could be from something besides the idea that the villages are being wiped out for no reason," she says as the bluejay lands on her shoulder.
The black haired elvish lord nods to them before saying, "Darian Moonleaf, I would like to see this map that you carry."
