The smell of Altered overwhelmed her nostrils; almost without realizing it, instinct carried her to move; she charged towards the scent and felt a strange waver in her mental field; her eyes snapped to where the wolf was carrying the object into the bushes; just in time to catch a glimpse as the illusion of white feathers melt away to reveal distorted flesh and horned spikes.
She cleared the bushes intending to pin the traitorous wolf to the ground; the bush surrounding them bristled with thorns as she encaged them.
"You," she snarled. "Just what the hell do you think you're doing with that-that thing, here?"

Rail's head swung around when he heard Marta enter the area. Fright flooded his mind as his eyes turned angry and his stance showed it. One paw held the fighting creature safely to the ground. "He's not a danger to anyone here but me," he snarled out to her. "You need to leave us!" he barked quickly before trying to focus on the bird again. His control of himself was slipping, if he lost the battle the years of controlling the bird's natural needs/wants would take both him and the bird over.
"Go!" he shouted once again as even his body showed strain of fighting. He needed her to leave. He needed to focus before his mind went black with the altered rage.

A pulse of chaotic, uncontrolled telepathic energy washed over her, making her stagger back; two resonant personalities, struggling for dominance, and in it all, the mindless, simple destructive mentality of an Altered... The two were a linked mind; which provided an explanation of how he had "camouflaged" it from her...
She was this close to simply just trying to slaughter him and his little pet, already bristling with indignant rage. But the rapidly dwindling control in his eyes and her pathetic, weakened state did not incline the outcome of the battle in her favor.
Grumbling as she thought quick she turned to the ability that set her apart from her former comrades-
Struggling against his mental barriers she set a link to his mind, holding her ground while shrouding her physical body in a thin barrier of thorns for good measure.
It wasn't looking good; the dark, dizzying clouds of an Altered mind were shrieking through his head against his own roaring attempts to regain control, making even her, a veteran, nearly impossible to focus. At this rate, she would have to be worrying about taking down a insane wolf and a Altered bird.
Gritting her teeth, she pushed what she could into his head.
Listen up. Follow my voice. Her projected mental echo was a sharp bark.
You need to separate your mind from it or it's going to devour everything in that tiny head of yours, you understand me? A migraine from hell was blistering between her temples with the effort of trying to communicate. Still, with the precision of a surgeon, she began a split in the chaotic mess around here to differentiate between the two minds. Follow the rip; split it apart.
Well, she hadn't been planning on giving a quick lesson in telepathy to some sorry wolf she barely knew, but there wasn't really time to think about that right now.

Wolfessmoon ((Would you guys mind if I had Acerida follow you guys and watch for a bit? Just makin' sure so that I don't annoy anyone. ^w^ )) I am locking this thread down and will put a refreshed thread once I know who all will be playing. We will start with Rail trying to regain control and if Marta is coming back have her helping him. I will gladly put you in the list to start the rp as a wolf who wandered in and hasn't met them offically yet if you want. Let me know in the rollcall thread on the main page please.
