The woman looked over at the Lantern. "Yes. I am gathering information on the incident that happened in the city. The... Vandal Savage homicide." she replied. Her eyes flickering back towards the two men in the cell across from her.

"Yep. Dat's the guy you're going to want to talk to after you see his Doctor." the guard replied, pointing CJ out.

The woman's eyes moved straight towards CJ, gave him a good look over, then frowned. "I see....." she replied.

C.J. heard them, snapping out of it real fast. "'Scuse me, hon. Reality calls and I forgot to leave the machine on. Be right back, babe." he said to Misty before moving Arell to the side and looking at the woman and the guard.

"Y'know I also hear he's deaf, so talk louder." he said with a wink before leaning on the wall. "So, who're you? What's all this about administering justice? Granted I was a little messy, but I had EVERY intention of returning that chainsaw." he mentioned. Casually using his ridiculousness to walk UP the SIDE OF THE CELL to take a look at the new woman from a new angle.

Wait . . . WHAT?!

"You did say look at things with a new angle."

Oy vey . . . so, who wants to watch me turn the gravity back on?

"You wouldn't dare!!"

"FREEZE!" One of the guards yelled as they both raised weapons, sighting Vice's legs.

Dr. Villa leaned forward just a little, getting a look at the escaping inmate. He didn't recognize him. Suddenly, he REALLY hoped that the guards weren't forced to kill him; there was a chance that this was Vice, and he was going to need as many links to Gossamer's past as possible.

"Sorry, in a bit of a hurry. Left the stove on at home and all." Vice replied. With that, he sprang forward. Jumping straight at the guards. He didn't WANT to show his hand just yet... but so far the guards hadn't been catching on that their bullets were going straight through him. These bozos probably wouldn't either. Just get to them, knock them out, then keep going.

===============================================

Anna's eyes widened as she watched him walk up the wall. Perhaps this man was really more of a problem for Vandal than she had thought. It... still didn't make the fact that he had chopped him up any less infuriating though.

"This isn't about the chain saw." she replied, keeping her composure. "I'm just here to get some of the facts straitened out as to what had happened... and why."

The guards opened fire. When their bullets didn't hit, they just thought that they were missing, and kept firing.

Dr. Villa didn't notice either, but he had a hunch. Realizing that it was a possibility, he said with great urgency, "Gossamer! Is this him?"
PostPosted: Wed Apr 24, 2013 11:31 am

Gossamer was staring at the scene with wide eyes. That off-colored skin, the black scars, the hair... it couldn't be anyone but him.

Before she could answer though, Vice became distracted by Doctor Villa. The moment he heard the word "Gossamer", he turned his attention away from the guards and towards the three that were backed against the wall. His own eyes widened, and he stopped in his tracks. "Janny?" he asked. The bullets still going right through his legs.

"I'll take that as a yes..." Donna muttered, staring over at Vice.

Arell and Dundee were both a little surprised, too! Up until now, C.J. for the most part obeyed the laws of physics! Maybe did something a little strange now and then, (fighting someone with a rubber chicken, humiliating a him with fluorescent green spray paint, and then giving the poor sap an atomic wedgie before hanging him by his Melvin on top of a flagpole for trying to kill him) but going up the wall, and holding a conversation while UPSIDE DOWN ON THE CEILING?!? The hell was going on here?

"What? Ain'tcha seen a guy upside down before? Cripes . . . err, sorry about them. Be right down!" he said before jumping, bouncing off the bunk, springing forward and skidding to a halt in front of the cell door.

"Ahh, so you wanna talk about WHY, hmm? Well, when a person threatens the kids that I raised as my own for the past three years as well as someone who I still care for deeply, I get a little testy. Didn't wanna kill 'im at first. Just wanted to kick his a**. After all, he was more or less responsible for my family vanishing and for the idiots who tried to attack us . . . give or take about seven times. Eight actually including the one that caused what little family I had left to vanish." he mentioned off-hand.

Dundee was watching in sheer awe about this as Arell looked at Dun with a smirk. "Compahed t' earliah, I give dat 'bout a seven." he said as Dundee looked at him, brow raised.

"Okay, guardy, you may wanna write this part down. Dr. Gray may need it for future reference, 'cause I swear this is the LAST TIME I'm tellin' this fuggin' story today." C.J. said, jokingly acting like he was getting annoyed. To tell the truth, he was having fun with this! "Of course, he and I threw some punches, then I managed to get around him and jumped on his back, like this!" he said, leaping onto Arell's back, imitating the "rodeo" he had done on the caveman's back. However, Arell, grabbed him, noticing the same sloppy grip he had before.

"You sumbitch! Get offa' me!!" Arell growled, flinging off C.J., who stopped MID-AIR for a second. Complete with the sound of tires screeching.

"Whaddaya know? Air Brakes!!"

*groan* Bad joke!!

Anyways, C.J. smirked when he stopped, Arell, surprised checked for wires holding him up.

"That's what he said, too . . . however, not so Cajun drawl-y. more like 'You insolent bug! Remove yourself off my presence before I squisheth thou like a bug!' and then I went fl- WHA!!!!!!!!!" he yelped before flying again, crashing into the other wall. Looking up with birdies circling around his head, before shaking it off.

"Of course, this was a fatal error on Savage's part. Y'see, it wasn't an ordinary wall he threw me into. He threw me into a glass window, four shelves and a table at a hardware store! Right after a chainsaw demonstration was done!" he said, getting up on his feet, assuming the stance and limp he had as he walked over, "picked up" a chainsaw and limped towards the cell wall, "revving" the saw.

"Slowly, he turned as I left there, the humming saw getting his attention as I accepted my spiral into post-abandonment madness." he said, his eyes becoming spiraled as he re-enacted his rage-filled assault. "There was no-ho turning back now . . . hell no . . . and he was gloating, too! He looked at me and said 'ho-ho! Back for more, eh you foul little insect? After I dispose of you, I think I'll devour your-or should I say- MY children, and then kill your little GIRLFRIEND in a pot of boiling oil, slowly and excrutiatingly, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!'" he said, even imitating Savage's cruel chuckle before turning it into a stereotypical villainous laugh.

"And that's when I KNEW it. This sucker didn't deserve to live. First he attacks my family, then threatens to KILL and EAT the only things I had to children? Oh HELL the ******** no!! Some caveman with a proficiency for Shakespearean death was about to met his maker . . . or better yet, be shovelin' sulfur on the devil's express train! heheheeee, so I went for him, faking an attack to the upper part of his body. When he ducked . . . hehe . . . muahahaha . . . I GOT HIM! Right up the middle!!" he said, smiling deviously for his little rampage of revenge.

"So yeah, ya wanna know why I did it? Wanna know why I'm not repentant? Wanna know what's gonna happen if Wilson 'fat-boy' Fisk decides to attack my family again? I did it to protect my (almost but not quite) wife and kids, and if it should happen again? Expect similar results." he said, before casually leaning up against the wall where Arell was before he pushed him out of the way.

"Any questions?" C.J. asked as Arell and Dundee both looked at each other, back at the man, back at each other, over to Misty, back at the man and then over at the woman.

"He's gettin' reeeeeeaaaaalll good at bein' crazy, che'." Arell said to Dundee, who looked at him.

"I REALLY hope he knows to calm down before that re-trial! I think I need to go to the little lantern's room!" Dun' said before running off towards the men's room.

Now that he was standing still, the guards could see easily that their bullets didn't do anything to Vice. They both stopped firing, and one of them swung the shoulder stock of the gun at the back of his head.

All Hector said was, "I concur...", in response to Donna's comment.

Vice, who was so suddenly distracted by Gossamer, didn't see the attack coming. The stock hit its mark, and the man grunted before falling forward. Gossamer watched on with wide eyes.

======================

Misty watched CJ, her eyes nearly as large as Rebe- ...erm... Anna's. It wasn't often CJ did such reality defying tricks in front of her after all.

The other woman shook her head to clear it a bit. "And I'm sure your handy little... powers... helped with that a bit." she asked. Then she crossed her arms over her expensive red coat.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 24, 2013 4:46 pm

"Powe- uhh, well, I was on the ground for that. Y'see I can only do these tricks when it's either funny or bizarre. By the looks of my girlfriend's eyes over there, I'd say I got one of those done today. But yeah, no powers. Just a real urge to beat the living crap out of the guy threatening my loved ones." C.J. said.

"But enough about me. Tell me about you. What makes ya so curious as to why I cracked and killed a DC comic book villain?" he asked, smiling at Misty with a wink.

As soon as Vice hit the ground, Hector pointed to the guard that took him down, "Check for a pulse. If he lives, restrain him and have him sent to the Medical wing." For a moment, he remembered his ill feeling about the turn of events, and almost smiled; he'd been right. But why in the world wouldn't the feeling go away?

The guard knelt down, while the other guard kept his weapon trained on Vice, in case it was a ruse; not likely, considering the method of incapacitation, but still possible. The first guard put two fingers to Vice's neck, then shortly reached for his handcuffs.

"No," Dr. Villa said, gathering that Vice was indeed still alive, "Take the jacket and chains off of Miss Loveless, and use them on him. Put your regular cuffs on her."

He then turned to look at Janet, and said, "Though maybe not how I had hoped it would go, you did identify him, without aiding in his escape. I think a reward is in order."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 25, 2013 7:37 am

Anna arched a dark brow at the man. "Just a little investigation into what had happened." she replied. "I just wanted to get my facts before I put together anything that would be set in stone. You did cause a bit of a confusing seen after all. Most just assumed you were some crazy chainsaw ax murderer who could be loose on the streets again." Not a total lie... but it wasn't the complete truth as to why she was here.

=========================================

Gossamer didn't have much time to react. She wanted to say something about the restraints not doing a bit of good if Vice really wanted to escape, but the guards were in much more of a hurry in undoing her than they had been before. Her cuffs and arms were freed before she had a chance to form a sentence. So she opted to just stand there quietly as they quickly freed her from the straight jacket, keeping her eyes on Vice.

"Better'n a ******** 'immortal' caveman who eats kids, ma'am. Y'see, Arell an' me, we're vigilantes. We're in here 'cause the superpowers-that-be don't like competition." C.J. drawled. Her words seemed earnest, but her face showed more to tell . . . something that he latched on to. As did Arell.

"Well, wha' paper d' ya work fo', che'?" Arell asked as Dundee looked on, curious to see how this turned out.

"Good point, big guy. Got a press badge?" C.J. asked. Of course, for all they knew, she could very well BE a reporter but something didn't quite sit well with the boys. Of course, they could be wrong.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 25, 2013 12:34 pm

"Nothing either of you have heard of, I'm sure." Anna replied, dipping her hand down into her purse. She pulled out a rather expensive leather wallet, then shifted around inside for a card. When she pulled it out, she flipped it so the two men could see. Her finger conveniently resting across the reporter's name. It was definitely her face on the card, though. And... several different translations in the corner.

"I am with Rosetta Press. They cover international affairs, events that happen in one area that could effect another. That sort of thing." she replied, then slid the card back into her wallet and slid it back into her purse. Her eyes remained locked on the two men. "And Vandal Savage had his hand in quite a few international businesses and projects. I'm sure they'd like to know what really happened to him... as well as the poor people who were put into a state of panic out on the streets of Gotham."

Which got Dundee's attention. "Rosetta Press? Like the defunct company The London Times bought out in 1974 because the journalists had no way to cover international struggles due to the oil shortage in all but Saudi Arabia?" he asked, Arell and C.J. looking at Dundee, who shrugged.

"What? I did trivia a lot at UMBC. They probably brought back the name." he said as he leaned up towards the other cell, before slipping and falling into the floor . . . his hand had gone between the bars instead of latching onto one. C.J. facepalmed as Arell laughed.

"uhh . . . Okay. Long story short, Vandal Savage was not a nice man. Manipulative, cunning, deceptive, barbaric and cannibalistic would be a better description of the man, but hardly 'nice' at all. Absolutely befuddles me how anyone could have gotten involved with such a cur and expect to not be manipulated at the end." C.J. said without really thinking . . . realizing his error, he looked at Misty with a shy smile and a "No offense, sweetheart." before thinking on the subject.

"The trouble with your statement is, and I have a witness that can prove the fact, that this was NOT in Gotham City where that happened." he said.

"SHE'S REALLY -Censored to protect the plot.-!!!!"

Have we even MET her before?!

"Meh, anything coulda happened in a time frame of 3 years."

I call god-modding. Apologize to the people!

"Ugh, fine. I'm sorry for figuring it out that it's -CENSORED TO PROTECT THE PLOT- before the rest of those screwheads (and Misty. <3) found it out . . ."

*facepalm* ugh . . . and I put up with three years of dealing with this before-hand, and if it went sour, a trip into the time of the pirates. Excuse me while I have a little fun. *pulls out flyswatter*

"You wouldn't da-!!!!!"

K-POW!!!!
