“yes, yes we really should.” he said dorky grin never leaving his face. if ever there had been a day that bruce had just felt happy, and normal it was today.

Tony smiled back, it was impossible not to when Bruce looked so blissful. Over the course of the next couple hours they had gotten through several more exhibits, and as it grew closer to lunch, Tony felt his stomach begin to growl and complain, over-ruling his brain's desire to keep exploring. "I'm getting hungry, are you getting hungry?" Tony asked, pulling the map back out-- the museum had a deli by the Space and Aeronautics section.

“sub sounds good.” he said smiling, yep, best date, in the history of dates. If you took every date that everyone else thought was great and compared it to this one. This one would come out on top every single time.

They stepped into line, as quite a few people roaming the museum had also gotten hungry and decided it was time to eat, and Tony squeezed Bruce's hand as they stood there together. Temporarily not distracted by science and learning, his mind began to wander. They'd declared themselves official, and that meant Tony was under pressure to be the best damn boyfriend he could be. Tony had been a boyfriend /often/, but never a successful one... he always screwed something up or made his girlfriend mad or it quickly became obvious things just weren't working out. A slight internal terror tugged at him. When they'd been friends, there wasn't any pressure, but now that they were together, that meant they could break up, and that was just about the last thing on earth Tony wanted right now. He squeezed Bruce's hand harder.

Bruce smiled, “aw, you’re nervous, its cute.” he said leaning over and wrapping his arms around tony. “its okay, ive never been a boyfriend before so we’ll just have to give it a try, together alright.” he said smiling, “just give yourself a break.” he said pecking tony’s lips, “might not be easy but right now, you’re doing fantastic, cant imagine anyone better.”

"You... you really think so?" Tony said with some surprise, his shoulders relaxing. A smile spread across his face when he was kissed, already feeling immensely set at ease by Bruce's words.

Bruce smiled, “youre cute when you’re all exicted, or nervous…or pretty much always.” he said laughing, “come on the line moved forward a lot and we are never going to eat if we keep standing here being all ‘i love you more’ …’ no i love yooooooou more’” he said laughing quoting the things that sappy couples often said in front of him.

Tony felt a chuckle rise in his throat and he gave Bruce a kiss on the temple. "I don't know, is that kind of thing quantifiable?" he asked, as they moved forward to reclaim their position. He peered up at the menu, there were a lot of different combinations of breads and meats and cheeses and veggies available to them. "You can order, I'm not picky," the teen said. Well, in some ways he was a little picky, but he was also curious to know more of Bruce's likes and dislikes.

“And provolone cheese please.” he said handing the money in his hand to the cashier. “thank you” he said smiling, slipping his hand back into tony’s.

Soon they were in possession of a foot-long sub and the 17-year old found them a two-person table to sit at and eat. He unwrapped the sandwich and took his half, not wasting any time in stuffing his face with it and mumbling through his bite. "Sooo good."

Bruce laughed, making his way to the soda machine, buying the sodas and returning to the table. “cherry doctor pepper for you, and diet coke for me.” he said setting them on the table and picking up his sandwich again, taking another small bite before opening his drink.

"Thanks, cute stuff," Tony said, pulling the tab open. The drink fizzled a little more than expected from being jostled by the machine and he hurriedly tipped it to his lips before it could froth all over his hand and the table.

“Sit at home bored out of your mind.” he said smirking and taking a bite of his sandwich. at least thats what he assumed he would be doing, “and fail calculus.” he added smiling.

"Ugh, we still have to study for Monday's test, huh?" Tony got out exasperatedly, now having been reminded. "Guess that's one of the things on our agenda for tomorrow. Oh hey, I was thinking; it's still close to the start of the year, we could probably still transfer some classes so we could have a few more together," he expounded, having meant to bring it up at some point.
