 Serah watched as the next onslaught of attacks came in, a fire spin to be precise. Porygon wasn't the most advanced in terms of speed, so Serah decided to cast protect. "Protect!" Porygon tried to whip up a shield, but something strange happened, it vanished the moment that it appeared. "Damn, it failed!" Sometimes protect failed, and sadly, this was just one of those times. As the inferno of fire surrounded Porygon's body, Serah pulled a pokeball out and tried to withdraw her Pokemon. Again, it was no use. It was impossible to withdraw pokemon while they were caught in a fire spin. "Hang on!"
Serah thought for a moment, before getting slightly distracted by the boy calling Chad a homosexual. Even though she considered herself to be on opposite sides of the field in terms of point of view with Chad, she wouldn't call him a homosexual, even if she didn't know his name. "Bwahaha! Looks like some people just never learn, teach him a lesson Selphie." Serah had caught Selphie's name as the others exchanged words, and if Serah wasn't so busy battling, she would've been more than eager to go over there and steal that boy's shiny Riolu, but his Pokemon were way too generic for her tastes.

Kadaj would’ve responded to the homophobic remark that the Riolu kid made, but at the same time, it wasn’t worth stooping to his level. Kadaj knew there was ignorance in the world, and even if that kid didn’t know Chad’s name, it wasn’t right for him to address him as the ‘homosexual.’ That just made him sound retarded, but then again, with how full of himself he seemed, he probably was. It was time to focus on the battle at hand though.
Apparently, Porygon had been caught in the Fire Spin that Pepper had made. “Alright, now get Porygon with a Flamethrower while it’s still trapped!” Pepper nodded and hopped back into the air before taking aim at Porygon and launching a spray of fire forth from its mouth. Since Pepper had a clear shot, Kadaj was hoping to make a critical hit and end the battle short with the Porygon so that they could move on to their next opponent. Unlike Serah though, Kadaj knew that her Pokémon seemed to mainly focus on Psychic and flying types, so if Pepper fainted, he’d probably end up using Poochyena, who just so happened to be immune to Psychic type attacks.
Kadaj couldn’t help but laugh aloud as Serah pitched in her opinion about how she felt with the whole homosexual thing. It was nice to see that even though Serah was trying to take his Pokémon, they still had a thing or two in common, although Kadaj was pretty shocked to see Selphie standing up to defend Chad. She must’ve thought of Chad as a little brother or something of the sort with the way she quickly lashed out to protect him. That made her okay in Kadaj’s book if she wasn’t already. “Yeah Selph! Kick that dude’s butt!” Kadaj laughed and waited to see how Serah would get out of the situation she was in while in this battle.

But then Chad can swoop in and whoop his butt) Ryan stared blankly at Selfie and then at Chad. Had he offended the man? Perhaps he was not a homosexual, perhaps he identified as a transexual or a bisexual? Ryan didn't understand the verbal barriers and respect that one should observe. "I guess the term was too scientific for you two..." he said aloud. Ryan shrugged and nodded at Lulu, who ran up towards the Pidgey. Ryan calmly walked behind her.
"Ladies first." Ryan said, half-sarcastically. He believed that treating women as if they deserved more special care was almost misogynist in itself.

Chad grinned smugly as Serah threw in her two cents about the situation, but what really surprised Chad was how quickly Selphie stood up to defend him from this person. Anyone who knew Selphie knew that she’d travelled two regions and fought with countless people, so naturally she’d be phenomenal at fighting a beginner. Chad just hoped that she’d be able to teach him a lesson that he’d soon not forget.
Chad took several step backwards and looked around for a moment before deciding that he would simply remain quiet while those two fought. There was no way Selphie could lose, not with all the training her Pidgey had under its belt already. That Rilou had probably never fought against another trainer before, so if it won, it’d be a real shocker. “Alright Selphie, you got it.” Chad took several steps back and walked over to Kadaj who was battling and winning against the Porygon. “Wow, I turn my back for a few seconds and the Porygon is already caught in a funnel of fire.” Chad pointed to the Pokémon Pepper and nodded approvingly, “I think Pepper is close to evolving with all that fire its dishing out.” Chad was really happy because if it did evolve, this would be the second Pokémon he’d witnessed an evolution to.
He watched in anticipation for the rest of the battle. He didn’t know how it’d turn out because he knew that Serah still had a few Pokémon up her sleeve that would knock out Torchic in a heartbeat if given the chance. “You can do it Kadaj!” Chad blushed as he thought about what it was he was going to do in terms of battling if Kadaj lost. He couldn’t forget about Kadaj’s new Deerling though. It seemed like it might be able to stand a few special attacks before it went down.

Selphie grinned smugly as she heard Serah speak up in protest against the boy Selphie still didn’t know the name to, and quite frankly, that was alright with her, because after this battle, she didn’t want anything to do with him. Pidgey was already in the air, so letting it out of its Pokeball wouldn’t be a problem. “Alrighty then, Pidgey, use Agility.” Pidgey nodded and its speed began to grow tremendously as its wings narrowed, allowing it to glide much more swiftly through the air.
Selphie turned to Chad and gave him a thumbs up, meaning that she had this battle under control. If there was one thing she couldn’t stand, it was people who thought that they had the right to call others whatever they wanted. A simply ‘hey you’ would’ve sufficed, but no, this boy thought it would be appropriate to call Chad a homosexual, that alone was enough to walk up to the kid and punch him square in the face. Still, Selphie didn’t exactly want to go to jail, so beating the s**t out of his Pokémon would just have to do for now. “I hope you know that even though you’re a new trainer, I don’t plan on going easy on you. Pidgey, let’s get ready!” Pidgey flew high in the air, out of physical-combat range, meaning that the two wouldn’t be able to connect with each other through physical force, they’d have to use special attacks. “Pidgey’s too high in the sky for you to just run up to and punch! Pidgey, let’s end this battle quick! Use gust!” Pidgey began to flap its wings while still extremely high in the sky. As it did so, then wind began to pick up and come crashing down towards the ground in a powerful flurry. If a Pokemon tried to jump, it would be crushed be forced back down to the ground from the pressure of the winds.
Since Pidgey was high in the sky, and Selphie knew that Riolu were more of a physical ‘punching’ and ‘kicking’ kind of Pokémon, it would be interesting to see just how his Rilou would react.

» Ryan Snow » Party: LuluShadow(I have a few ideas) For some reason, both Ryan and Lulu remained silent. As the flurry of wind slammed into Lulu, she glowed slightly and got into a defensive stance. Amazingly, the wind shot around and by her, but it didn't seem to phase her. She had used the Endure move, and after the gust had passed she stood up tall. Since the Gust move relied on knocking the opponent around, and Lulu had used Endure to resist it, she wasn't harmed at all. (I hope that logic is okay with you)
Air picked up around Lulu, and still Ryan remained silent. He was somehow commanding her without speaking. The same force of air that had been launched at the Riolu shot back up at the Pidgey, particularly aiming for the wings. (Copycat)
Ryan smirked. "I traveled the world for, oh, five years? I have seen the way Pokemon fight, and I have recorded strategies for hundreds of situations in my head. You have experience while I have intelligence from studying." he was actually feeling a bit excited - this battling thing really was top-notch(Like I said if any of my attack logic and stuff annoys you just tell me and I'll explain my justification or change it.)

Serah cringed as her Porygon was hit by another Flamethrower. This, along with the constant vortex of fire, caused Porygon to faint. "My poor Porygon! Hmph, you asked for it! Go Elygem!" Serah withdrew her Porygon and then, in the same note, released her Elygem who was staring intently at Torchic. "We need to show that Pokemon what we're all about. I want you to use Psybeam!" Elygem nodded and launched a violent beam towards the Torchic in the hopes of knocking it flat to its face.
Serah turned to the battle between Selphie and Riolu and nearly cracked up at how unorganized the boy seemed using a fighting type against a flying. There was a reason they were super effective.

Selphie grinned as the wind came right back towards Pidgey. “That’s good, using the Gust against Pidgey, sadly it won’t have the same effect Pidgey had. Pidgey gets a bonus from the attack because she actually is a flying type. If I used gust again, I could easily annihilate that thing you call a gust. But, I don’t want to do that because you’ll probably just use endure again and we’ll get nowhere.” Selphie pointed to the Riolu using gust from the ground. “Air Slash!” Pidgey swung its wing downwards and easily shredded through the gust with the air slash.
A blade of wind raced downwards towards the ground, ready to strike the Riolu and at the rate it was moving, that would be hard to ‘endure.’ “Now use Agility once more!” Pidgey nodded and began to move around in the air, dramatically increasing its speed once more. It was moving at insane speeds through the air, much quicker than even a Pidgeotto could move.

Selphie watched as the Riolu jumped at an impossible height to strike the Pidgey with a counter attack to the technique performed. However, when a Pokémon jumps into the air, they can only move upwards, not left to right. Pidgey speed greatly outmatched the Riolu, making dodging the easiest thing to do, especially in the air where Pidgey practically owned the place. “Alright, dodge it!” In the blink of an eye, Pidgey easily dodged the counter. “Counter might have hit if I had actually hit you with a physical attack. You see, counter is a technique that only works against physical attacks, and what I did was used Air Slash, which is a special attack. In reality, you just told Riolu to jump into the air and flail about.” Selphie kind of felt bad that she had to explain that to someone who was supposedly a seasoned veteran. “I’ll give Riolu a parting gift as it falls back down to earth.” Once Pidgey was done dodging what was supposed to be a counter, it whipped up a wind with its wings. “Nothing hurts more than a gust that happens to a Pokémon that’s still in the air.”
Pidgey’s gust would push down onto the Riolu, slamming it into the ground if it connected.

Selphie watched as the Riolu fell back down to earth, getting closer and closer to becoming incapacitated. The next move it used seemed to be screech, which was pretty obvious from how it was yelling. “W-We have to nullify the sharply lowered defense!” Selphie pointed to Riolu and then shouted her command, “Feather Dance, and then use twister!” Feather Dance was an easy command. Hundreds of small feather shed off of Pidgey and gently fell down to earth that was aimed in the vicinity of Riolu. The feathers were designed to sharply lower physical attack and since Riolu seemed to be mainly focused on physical contact, Pidgey would be able to bring the advantage back to her.
After the feather were floating downwards, Pidgey began to spin quickly in circles, creating a darkly colored tornado that raced towards the earth, ready to slam into Riolu.

Ryan got nervous. Lulu was right at the edge, but she had gotten used to the rhythm of aerial attacks. Perhaps she could hold off for a while longer as she screeched Pidgey's defense low enough for Eevee to do some damage.

Selphie was pretty confused at this point as to why this man was using screech constantly. She didn’t question it though. “You know, Riolu evolves when the friendship with a trainer is high enough, sacrificing it like this isn’t going to do anything for the two of you in terms of a relationship.” Selphie was pretty amazed that Riolu was able to endure as much as he did, but the battle would soon be over at this rate. “Alright, use Agility one last time.” Pidgey narrowed its wings once more, moving faster than a Pidgeot now. “Now let’s get down to business, use your Air Slash!” Pidgey moved in the blink of an eye, impossible to follow with the naked eye. It then reappeared directly above Riolu and launched a powerful Air Slash from a point that would be hard to dodge.

» Ryan Snow » Party: LuluShadow(Okay I know this may seem like a stretch but Lulu's gone after this) Lulu screeched and curled into a ball. The Air Slash slammed into her, but she Endured the Air Slash. With a shred of health left, she screeched again and her fist shot up in a Reversal Attack.(Basically what Ryan had been planning, since Reversal's rather strong at the like, 1 HP Lulu has left. If it really does seem like too much of a stretch I'll change it, but that's all the screeching really was amounting to.)
