Steele Thompson III Hufflepuff|5th year|Muggle-Born|Ariana Hawthorne Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood? Steele smiled as her song progressed, loving every minute of it. He knew what it was about, and he honestly could not wait for her to come back over to him. He smiled as she made her way. As she sat down, he kissed her. "I loved every second of it Ariana," he said to her. He didn't have a song prepared for this round, but he would make sure the next time he would.
"You know, you've really gotten way better over the years. Its been awesome watching you progress, but its even better to know you are finally with me," he told her, genuine as he could muster. Will I ever be the same?

  ((OOC: outfit in left picture))  Ariana closed her eyes as Steele kissed her and admitted to loving every second of the song. "That means a lot, Steele," she said warmly before listening to what her boyfriend had to say next. A giggle escaped her lips as the boy told her she had gotten better over the last several years. "I sure hope so, I practiced a whole lot." The redhead leaned her face over Steele's to plant a soft kiss on his lips. That song was no lie. The girl really did love the way he made her feel.

*~Victor Beausoleil~* As Victor listened to the Slytherin first year as he nodded, "Ah..Umm...Thanks." He then quickly added, "Sorry if I slip into french...I'm used to speaking in it at home." He then scratched the back of his head in embarrassment, "Force of...how you say...habit?" He then properly bowed, "Ah...My name is Victor Beausoleil...If...I didn't introduce myself already."He then blinked, "You are...?" He really needed to start learning names, it was only proper manners after all. As Ariana introduced herself Victor politely bowed again, "Ah...Thank you." At her question Victor looked down at the ground, truth be told he did want to perform, but did they even have any violins? That was the only instrument he was great at, the piano and flute, though he could play them well enough, did not appeal to him, they were just used for formal occasions and recitals. "I'll decide later..."After a while and smiling at the songs that he heard, these people were talented! ...They also seemed friendly, which was more than Victor could say about his stuck up acquaintances at his mother's dinner party. Seeing an open spot to perform, Victor located a violin and nearly squealed in delight. Before calming himself down, "Ah...I'd like to play something...if...if that's alright?"Taking a deep breath and going into starting position he closed his eyes to play Chaconne. Mood: At ease

 Miles had followed the music up to the club, his own violin slung over one shoulder as he peered into the room. It must have been some kind of music room at some point, judging by the layout. The second year readjusted his grip and entered, just a tad nervous. He didn't play a lot in front of other people, and no, his parents didn't count. His mum was always trying to get him to push himself, and his dad, well, he was always encouraging, but they were his parents. They were supposed to say stuff like that. Taking a seat, he listened to the last person play, a violinist, and a pretty good one too, and clapped when he heard the last strains of the song. It was a good piece. "Mind if I play too? I don't know if I'm as good as he is, but I can play decently enough. Um, I'm Miles McLellan, and I play the violin and sing." Deciding he'd embarassed himself enough, he pulled out his violin and, after testing it to make sure it was still in tune, started playing.Music makes the people come together

 ᵞᵋᶳₑᶮᵢₐ ♭ ᶴᵤᶵᵣᵢᵡ First Year ø Slytherin ø Muggleborn "Music is easy and simple, you don't have to worry about things like betrayal." ♮ "You're welcome," she said. The other song didn't really peak her interest as much as the others, but she still listened. "It's fine, we all have our habits," she said. She nodded when Victor introduced himself, and was about to do the same for herself, when Ariana came over and greeted him into the club. She shrugged mentally, she'd introduce herself later. The next thing she knew, Victor was going upstage to play. She wondered how good of a player she was, and that soon became obvious as he started playing. It was a little different, but it was similar to her sister's cello. When he sat back down she grinned. "That was great!" she exclaimed. "How long have you been playing? By the sound of it, you had an awesome teacher!" she said, practically bouncing in place from her excitement. She must have realized how out of character that was because she coughed, a slight blush rising to her cheeks. "If you don't mind sharing, that is. Oh yeah, my name is Yesenia, sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier," she told him, introducing herself. ♯ "But in life, your best friends can end up as your worst enemies."

((OOC: outfit in left picture)) Ariana turned to face the new boy again. Her smile faltered when Victor narrowed his eyes to the floor. When he said he would decide later, the redhead nodded. She understood that performing in front of an audience, no matter how big, seemed intimidating and scary for some people. When the boy climbed up onto the stage, Ariana smiled gleefully. "Of course!" she exclaimed, allowing Victor to perform whatever he wanted. Ariana waited as patiently as she could for the boy to finish his nine minute performance. Wow, this is long, she thought just before he finished. Once he did, the redhead clapped for Victor. Just then, another boy asked if he could perform. Ariana recognized him from her house. "Sure thing, Miles!" she said happily. Time seemed to be almost up for the club, but that was alright. This happened every year. Students performed one after the other until it was time to pack up and leave for whatever reasons. Some had class, others had plans with their mates, and others, like Ariana, stayed behind to work on their own pieces. As Miles began to play an Irish jig, the redhead danced around in her seat slightly. Could anyone blame her? Irish music sounded upbeat and happy.

  ♫Sixth Year♪Prefect♫Captain♪Werewolf♫Chaser♪Gryffindor♫ Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ squeaked when she heard the younger boy play the violin. She loved people playing her instrument, so she decided she'd get on stage next. "Hi all! I just wanted to let you guys know you're doing fantastic! Time's almost up, but we're always here to talk. If you ever need help, or just have questions about the club, find myself or Miss Ariana. One of us will be glad to talk." She sent another smile out, then lifted her own violin, this one a deep maroon and made in an interesting design. Her song was simple, but required a load of practice on her end. Good thing Kerali enjoyed her music, or she'd never have found time to practice. After a deep breath, she lifted her bow and began to play. ⓄUT

((OOC: outfit in top picture)) Ariana smiled up at Remy when the girl commented on how everyone had been doing a fantastic job with their performances. Since the sixth year was up on stage, it must have meant she was about to do a performance of her own! The redhead sat up straight in her seat, waiting for the Co Head of the Music Club to begin playing her fancy looking violin. Just like Victor, Remy played an incredibly long piece. However, once she finished, the Hufflepuff seeker applauded and headed up on stage. "That was fantastic! We have time for one more performance, so if anyone wants to play or sing something, come on up!" she said into the microphone. The first meeting of the year was always the funnest.

*~Victor Beausoleil~* Victor just breathed a sigh of relief after he had finished playing, he felt so at ease...though it was kind of odd to play in front of people who would actually care.
Bowing politely he walked off the stage to go sit back where he was, as the Slytherin complimented him Victor did an off handed wave, "Thanks!" He then smiled, "It's nice to actually see people who like the music..."
He then blushed a bit at the praise, "Uh...thanks...I've been playing...well...mother had me practice the piano and flute for recitals at her dinner and garden parties...." He then thought for a moment, "She hired a private tutor to teach me and he also taught me violin."
Victor then sighed, "It was more of a service though...I was how you say...a showpiece." That WAS what they called that, right?
He then remembered, "Oh! Mon ami...I never got your name!" He then blushed in embarrassment as he had rather ran off instead of waiting for her to introduce herself, "My apologies..."
Victor then watched the other performances...also on violins, both were interesting, and very well made.
Even the Irish song was good!
....If his father heard him praise something Irish he'd be slapped.

That's why she joined this club, it was something she could actually get into without judging and watching everyone as if they were going to suddenly come at her with a knife or something. "I'm not sure I could pull that off, playing as a showpiece for others," she commented. She'd probably eventually snap and end up storming off after a song. "It's fine, as I said before, my name is Yesenia. Pleased to meet you Victor," she said, introducing herself again. It seemed that everyone else had gone and done something pretty cool, but Yesenia felt like playing, simply for the fact of playing. "I'll go next," she said, standing up. She was planning on playing her guitar, but seeing the piano just sitting there... She couldn't refuse, so she walked up to the instrument and started playing a song she was quite familiar with, and knew it by heart -- Over the Hills and Far Away. A grin soon spread across her face as her fingers tickled and stomped the keys. Even as she sat down, though she tried to calm down, she difficulty containing her excitement. It was always a rush, performing. Getting over your overall shyness towards presenting your abilities to others... she loved it, though she certainly didn't know why. ♯ "But in life, your best friends can end up as your worst enemies."

((OOC: I'll start the next meeting within the next week o3o)) Ariana smiled when the first year played the piano. When the girl finished, the redhead applauded for her. "Wow! That was spectacular!" she exclaimed. Yesnenia's performance was the very last one before most people began to pack up and head out to do whatever it was they needed to do. Time already? The first meeting of the year always seemed to rush by. "Alright, looks like this meeting is over. Remember to come back next week, and every week after that!" With that, the redhead jumped off the stage and waited for everyone, or at least most people, to leave.

*~Victor Beausoleil~* Victor laughed a bit, "Honestly I couldn't stand it, but then if I didn't perform..." He then shuddered, "Let's just sat high society frowns on that."
Did commoners not need to do this? If so...then he was plenty envious.
He then smiled as she introduced herself, "Yesenia? Nice name....Any idea what it means?" It sounded nice at least, he had heard some rumors about Slytherins while here, but standing next to one, he didn't see what all the stink was.
Victor then noticed Yesenia get up and go tot he piano, so he smiled and got ready to listen, see how she could do.
As she played a piece, he wasn't exactly familiar with, but it sounded nice....really nice actually.
As Yesenia sat back down, Victor gave her a nice clap of applause, "That was really great~" He then smiled, "Tres bien~"
He then noticed the head of the music club...Ariana was it? She got up and announced the end of the meeting, so this was a once a week thing, then?
He was sure to come here at least, though...now that the club was done he wasn't sure where to go. Mood: Eased

ᵞᵋᶳₑᶮᵢₐ ♭ ᶴᵤᶵᵣᵢᵡ First Year ø Slytherin ø Muggleborn "Music is easy and simple, you don't have to worry about things like betrayal." ♮ Yesenia smiled sympathetically, it sounded like he got in a lot of trouble if he didn't play. Poor kid, music shouldn't be forced... "That seems a bit silly... But then again i'm just a 'commoner' what would I know?" she asked jokingly.
"Thanks. Eh, I think my sister told me it means 'watchful' or something like that kind of weird," she replied. She had been a bit cautious towards how the other houses would react towards a Slytherin, but it seemed that most were fairly open minded. Well, at least she didn't have to worry about that too much, as for her blood status... Well, it wasn't like she was the only muggleborn here, besides, most of the other houses as a whole could care less, so perhaps the students would be the same.
Yesenia grinned at Victor's response, even a seemingly cold person like her liked showing off every now and then. "Thanks, I brought my guitar because I was worried they didn't have a piano available. But I just started it so I went with the piano since i'm better at it," she explained as she picked up her guitar case. She glanced to the front as the club leader said it was over. Well drat, now what? She already had finished her homework... Maybe she could go hang out with Victor some, hopefully he wasn't busy. "Sounds like it's over," she said, standing up. "You wanna go explore the grounds? I really haven't seen much yet. Have you?" she asked. This was a bit too forward for her tastes, but he didn't seem to be like a bad guy, so she put her insecurities at the side for now. ♯ "But in life, your best friends can end up as your worst enemies."

 *~Victor Beausoleil~*Victor smiled at the commoner joke, even he could appreciate a little joking every now and then, "Now that I know it's not the norm...it does seem rather silly, huh?"
Watchful? That was an odd type of name to give someone, "Maybe it meant you were...." How was he going to word this, "Observant?"
That was the word he was looking for, right?
He was pretty sure it was.
Victor then smiled as Yesenia talked about her guitar, "Really? I would have brought my violin...but...." Maybe he could get it in the mail? Whenever the mail was delivered that is....did they get mail?
He then frowned, would his parents even send anything?
"Ah...the guitar was always hard for me to practice on, since it's not really a classical instrument. Think mother would have blown a....how you say, fuse if I even thought about it."
He then noticed Yesenia get up, seeing as club was over and all, he sighed.
Victor then perked up when he heard the invite, "...Sure!" He then coughed a bit, that sounded...too excited, he couldn't help it though, "I haven't really been able to....hang around with anyone yet." He then thought for a moment, "Maybe I come off too strong?"
Though it was probably more like he didn't really go anywhere. Then again he never really had a reason too, this was different, "But yes, let's explore~ I'm....how did they put it here? Muggleborn so all this is still pretty interesting to me." Mood: Excited
Thoughts: Have I...made a friend? ...That's so great!

"People just aren't used to doing things that they don't like doing. So perhaps you could look at it as you have more tolerance than they do, or more patience," she suggested. She nodded when he said observant, and then shook her head. "I don't think they had that intention at first, but now that i'm a bit more older it sort of makes sense," she mulled. She was kind of cautious of others... Well, it wasn't like her parents were psychic or anything, so it was probably just a coincidence.
"Huh, maybe you could have it sent somehow," she suggested shrugging. She heard that they sent things using owls, but she didn't know if it could carry something that large that far. She nodded as he talked about his parents being about all about classical music. "I wanted to be able to play two instruments, so that's why I have a guitar as well as piano skills," she said, wiggling her fingers. "Though it sounds like your parents are very traditionally based," she said. She noticed Victor seemed kind of sad now that the club was over, but he perked right up when he heard her invitation and she couldn't help but smile. She shrugged when he spoke of him not hanging around with anyone yet. "I haven't either, but that's mostly because I tend to be a bit distrustful," she replied. "Though in your case... Perhaps everyone's still trying to get used to classes and all," Senia said with a shrug. She nodded and grinned when Victor agreed. "Where do you want to go first? I think they have a bunch of hallways and staircases, and then the library, of course. There should be some sort of gardens somewhere... Yeah, me too. Being Muggleborn, that is," she said. ♯ "But in life, your best friends can end up as your worst enemies."
