Alex scanned the entire machine, searching for an off switch as it began to act up. "I can't find the off function! Help me Freya!" the girl cried, still searching around. She soon came across a lever, though it wasn't labeled and dared not pull it in fear of it activating. "Ok...let's break it." "What? What about that whole, large blast radius thing?" Dan asked, shouting down in the crater. "Yeah, well...It might not be so bad. Besides, we can probably contain it...somehow" she shrugged, deciding to deal with that later. Taking out a screwdriver, she removed a panel and started fumbling with the wires.

Shark ran directly into the murky wave, attempting to plow through it. "Just use Dig!" Dan called out, trying to instruct his dragon. The Garchomp insisted on doing it his way at first but then did as told much to the trainer's surprise. Diving underground, it escaped the waves wrath and soon reappeared in front of the hybrid. "Ok...Sand Tomb!" he shouted. Jamming his claw into the ground, the ground beneath Dill would become like a sand whirlpool, attempting to suck him in.

Out of nowhere, as the hybrid and channeler were fighting, the machine went silent, its glow stopping as well as its rattling, however, as it stopped, so did the two males, just dropping to the ground suddenly, taking the attacks thrown at them, not even trying to avoid them. "It's time..." A voice seemed to cackle from the machine, it sounded female, or was that male, both perhaps? A dark purple aura would envelope both Dill and Keefe, as their meteorite fragments began to emerge from their bodies, the machine was giving off the same glow, whatever was happening, wasn't good, there was a fowl stench of tainted chi in the air. The meteorite fragments within the two had not yet revealed themselves, currently just masses of chi on their chests as they laid on the ground, out cold.

Suddenly getting the gut feeling that messing with the machine was a bad idea, Chaos's attention turned to the fainted hybrids. Something about the voice the machine emanated made him think that these two didn't pass out over getting beat, an idea that the purple glow in the hybrid's chests seemed to prove, in Chaos's mind at least.

Chaos resolved to kicking Keefe's spine, his pokemon halting their attack. "What the ~/~ just happened?" he ended up asking.

Xipil ended up being flung away from the machine in short order, managing to recover and landing beside Sol. That chi wasn't helping him any, making sure he'd be staying back.

Sol, naturally, backed off. That glow was ominous enough, let alone what he saw from the fallen hybrid and channeler. Let alone that voice only making matters all the worse. The stench of chi was a shock to his senses as well, let alone what he could feel. "Time? For whatever it is, I'd assume we're a shade late." So much for doing something about the stalling, it seemed.

Amaranth was backing up pretty quickly, offended by the stench and visibly scared of whatever she was feeling. Having no idea of what it was aside from the chi, she really wasn't sure what was about to happen. Not a word was said, though her concern was present.

Ceramew didn't really have the luxury of moving back or anything. The same aura enveloped her, seemingly cloaked by the fragment's chi as it started to emerge from her. If anything made it apparently, though, it'd be the high-pitched, scream that could've rivaled the harshest of Screeches as the chi overpowered her own.

This wasn't what one would consider good. Not by any definition of the word.

The girl froze as the machine grew silent, stopping her action with the wires. "D-Did I do that? Is it broken?" she asked, looking around a bit confused and hoping the . At the voice, she jumped back and moved closer to Freya. Best to stick with the closest person who knew kung-fu.

Dan could tell something was wrong as the two enemies suddenly dropped. Shark stood over Dill's motionless body, scoffing as he turned his back on him. Looking at the purple glow on their chest, Dan answered Chaos' question with a "I dunno" and a shrug. He heard the voice from the machine, quickly turning to look at it. Reaching down in the crater, he offered Alex and Freya a hand to get out and away from the device. There was no telling what was going to happen next.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhh~/~!! Could you be any louder?! I don't think they heard you in Sinnoh!!"

It really didn't help that Chaos wasn't paying attention to Ceramew's crazy episode prior to her being consumed by the malevolent chi. The fact that her body was radiating it made him hold his tongue, however.

The meteorite fragments from Dill and Keefe would come to a head, shooting out of their bodies and slamming into the machine, absorbing into it. Ceramew's however did not leave her body, in fact, it went back inside, but the dark aura stayed. "Your body will do just perfect." The machine said in its two tone voice as a beam of dark energy shot up into the sky, arched over, and slammed down on Ceramew, a heart shaped aura displaying around Cera once the beam hit. The girl might find her body being taken over by another entity, its conscious overpowering her own. As for the machine in the ground, it would blow up, sending a shock wave of energy from around it.

"P-perfect for what?"

She didn't get a chance to say or ask anything else; her tone was already pained, trying to fight what little bit she could for once. The effort was futile, however, as the fragment sank back in and the energy slammed her. Whatever was left of her was promptly silenced and thrown into a dark corner, overridden and overpowered by the new owner.

Sol, Xipil and Amaranth were thrown back by the shockwave the exploding machine gave out. Between this and the events unfolding, the three were left with a look that expressed how much this was about to suck.

"Well, this escalated quickly." Sol commented.

"What... was that...?" Suddenly, Amaranth wondered if she could still get out of here while there was a chance. This wasn't something she was exactly thrilled about, not with what it potentially meant.

It happened in a flash.

A vulgarity was uttered, but lost in the deafening noise of the blast. When Chaos picked himself back up, he was not where he was before. The blast had that kind of power.

He regained his sight in short order. The machine, now useless, lay in a heap. Ceramew, that sinister energy radiating from her, was still floating in the air.

Chaos dusted himself off and reached for a Pokeball. He had a gut feeling the fight wasn't over, yet.

"Rotom?"

"Gol duck?"

"Siiiiioooonnn..."

My instincts tripped, and I looked over in the direction of where the crap was unfolding. "Son of a..." I said wearly. "Can't a guy get any peace to catch a breath or two anymore? Seriously? What's going on?"

"Ty pho sion!"

"You don't know...ugh...come on...help me up..." I said, getting pulled up by Typhlosion. I put my arm around the large beast, propping up against him, still lacking the energy to put up any more of a fight. "Let's get over there...Golduck, Rotom, be ready for anything."

"Yes, very nice body." Said 'Ceramew' as her normal green coloring took on a blue one, her ribbons turning purple, the aura of energy disappearing as whoever took over assumed complete control. "You must all be terribly confused, and possibly frightened, and you should be." Ceramew laughed, her voice was creepy, it sounded like a grown man and a young girl speaking at the same time. "So, why don't we make it easy. Where are the other meteorite fragments? " Ceramew asked, leaving the question of what was going on completely unanswered.

"You know, something can be said about taking bodies that aren't yours for the sake of power, but I'm fairly certain it's a speech you can't be bothered to hear. I will, however, admit two things." As Sol saw it, the change in appearance and voice was creepy enough. It took a lot to bother him, and behind his usual demeanor, the parental side of him was already putting an "Out to Lunch" sign for full display until whenever this crazed nightmare was over. At the very least, he was doing a decent job of masking this series of thoughts.

Seeing Xipil was more than a little nervous, he recalled him before speaking again. "...On second thought, three things. First, I'd advise the rest of you to not mind me for a few days after this. Second, whatever you really are, you've long since soured your first impression. I do hope you're not doing this as a means of making us back down or else. Third, I can't say I know anything of their whereabouts. They're largely as unknown to us as they are to you."

Amaranth might've said something, but she was beside herself as it was. If it wasn't the appearance changing, or the creepy as heck voice, or even the simple fact that this just turned into a pretty bad scenario, it'd be the fact of possibly having to fight. Unlike Sol, she doubted she could bring herself to grips with that.

"I take it no one plans on answering my question- oh, I see." The body snatcher said with a sigh, floating over to Sol, staring at him in the face. "Hm, this body thinks of you as its father, humorous, you look nothing alike." Ceramew said with a devious smirk. "You know what else this body knows? It knows that you're lying, one among you has hidden the fragments away, someone named...Sub, who apparently hates pink, whatever that means." Ceramew said as she floated up and began to observe the area. "Looking for me?" Sub asked as he stepped forward. "Ah! Yes, according to this body you are indeed Sub, so, where are those fragments?" The stranger asked, Sub however only replied with Griswold coming forward, a look in the Dark trainer's eyes that told this body snatcher they would have to fight for that information.

"Aw...not going to be easy, very well then. Before we begin our scuffle, let me enlighten you all on something. I don't remember my own name, I am what you might refer to as a Manaphy hybrid, prince, or princess of the sea they called me...I don't even remember my own gender! Ha!" Ceramew laughed. "Any who, unlike those other Stone Society members, I was a hybrid long before the meteor fell and gifted all of us. And while those whelps went around abusing their new found gifts, I knew that I could do much more than just making the world a better place, or whatever garbage they were throwing around. With the power the meteorite granted me, my Heart Swap ability became much more powerful. Before I could only temporarily swap the minds of my enemies, at a great cost to myself stamina wise, but now, I can take over bodies! Almost like a parasite, humorous, yes? So many bodies I've possessed...as a matter of fact, I've been watching all of you for a long time. Here, maybe you remember this voice..." Ceramew said, clearing her throat out.

"It's my destiny to lead this world to enlightenment!" Ceramew said, in Io's voice. "That's right! It was I who made Io blow herself to smithereens. She had something I wanted, her fragment, unfortunately all of you showed up so I thought I might kill two birds with one...meteorite fragment!" The hybrid cackled as the voice went back to the two toned from earlier. "Either way, I've rambled on for far too long. Now, you must be wondering, why did I tell you all of this? It's simple really, I thought it would only be fair for you to know the facts before you die, so you can dwell on the errors you made." Ceramew said with a crooked smile. "Let's see what this body can do." With that, Ceramew fired off an Ice Beam at Sub.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 20, 2012 4:54 pm

The 'parasite', for lack of a better name, would find itself disappointed that Sub dissapeared in a flash of darkness just before the Ice Beam hit.

He would reappear after the Ice Beam ran its course, with Deathbringer in front of him for a second, only for the Houndoom to disappear by itself in that same darkness, appearing before his master.

"I don't care who you are, but the only one in error here is you. The error I'm referring to is the moment you decided to ~/~ with Team Snagem." Chaos said.

Deathgiver would vanish a third time, reappearing behind Ceramew only to strike the girl with Crunch before Faint Attacking back to Chaos's side.

"I'm of a firm belief that blood has few matters in how one sees another. But I wouldn't be surprised, you did decide to take residence in someone with unstable chi after all." Sol said, shrugging. The further discoveries didn't help; powered by the meteorite, a far stronger Heart Swap, and seemingly everyone else from before was conglomerating into one...

If one thing was certain, there was no chance of Ceramew's original self being in there somewhere. Or at least, it was so far pushed in that it practically ceased to exist. What was there was a facsimile, a shell of what was there before, taken by one who had been keeping an eye out.

Right now, the move put the team in check, with mate on the horizon. Though reluctant, Sol drew his blade and sent a Flamethrower to attack. "And not if you're stopped before you get the full test drive. I've no problems striking my child if it means you fall alongside."

Amaranth, visibly frightened, tried everything to get out of there. She wanted no part of this, she couldn't bring herself to fight. "Go... go away..."
