Wolfwood smiled, understanding Menolly's trouble. He had the same probem putting into words what he felt about her. "I care about you, Menolly. I love you. And that's why I'm so gentle and 'wonderful' and so on and so forth. You bring it out in me."

Menolly blushed as she kept looking into his eyes. Hearing he loved her still made her blush but also to hear she brought out the qualities she loved so much in him was also blush worthy. Belatedly, she says to him, "I love you, Nicky. I am glad I can bring out that in you. I know you bring out the best in me." She then leaned up to kiss him lightly, she wasn't going for a deeper kiss at that time, but wouldn't reject it either.

Hearing her say she loved him made Wolfwood's stomach do a backflip and he blushed lightly, watching as she raised herself up on her toes to kiss him. Smiling, he waited until her lips were almost touching his own before he closed the distance, giving her a tender kiss.

Menolly delighted in the kiss, enjoying every moment of the contact. She knew her family loved her, but there was an easily disguisable difference between that and what she shared with Wolfwood. Lucky, that is how she felt, very lucky. One moment she is lost from home, next she finds someone who not only doesn't mind her need for physical contact, but was very kind to her. Now, now she had love as well.

Wolfwood smiled softly and simply watched her for a time, his blue eyes on her golden ones. When he eventually spoke again, his voice was low and soft. "Do you miss your family, Menolly?"

Menolly didn't drop his gaze until her family was brought up. She looked down a moment, at the necklace her father gave her and her twin brother. Looking back up, she answered, "I do, I really miss all of them." She was still worried about how her father would react, but she knew the rest of her family would be supportive and happy for her.

"Maybe it's time we go visit them," Wolfwood suggested, stroking her hair. "I want you to be happy. And I think I'd like to meet them. They are related to you, after all," he said with a smile.

Menolly's smile gained about a 1000 watts at the thought of being reunited with her family, even her worries about her father seemed to vanish. "Really? That would be so much fun, I know my Momma would adore you, they all will..Daddy might be difficult but he is the only one." He would be nice when he saw how happy she was, right? Her mother's solution to the last time her daddy got mad was not a pleasant one.
She fought her doubts, it was easy because she could draw on the feeling that nothing will go wrong that they couldn’t deal with.

Wolfwood watched Menolly's smile increase in intensity, his own smile widening perceptibly. "When would you like to go?" he asked her, continuing to stroke her lovely hair. Seeing her so happy made his heart swell.

Menolly thought about it a moment and asked him, "How about tomorrow?" She titled her head slightly to the side, enjoying the feeling of him stroking her hair. Reaching a hand up, she lightly returned the favor because she liked it so much.

Closing his eyes while he enjoyed Menolly's touch, Wolfwood considered the options and finally nodded. "Tomorrow's fine. What time should we go? In the morning or, say, just after lunch?"

ooc: Its alright, I know those moods well.
IC: Menolly kept up her light stroking of his hair and gave a very small 'sqwee' sound when he agreed that tomorrow was fine. Thinking about it, she answered back, "After lunch sounds like a great idea." She was really excited about going back to see her family, and that she'd be able to take Wolfwood and tell them that he was the man she loved.

"You're so thrilled, I feel sorry for not asking you sooner," he admitted, smiling at her enthusiasm and the little sqwee noise she had made. But then his smile faltered slightly. "Do you think they'll like me, Menolly?" he asked, his voice taking on a slightly nervous edge.

Menolly lost a few volts as she told him, "I don't mind at all, I love the time we spend just to the two of us. It is better we waited any way." She didn't want him to feel bad about it. Giving him a lightly kiss she told him, "Oh, I know Momma will, and I am sure my twin and other siblings will see how wonderful you are and how happy we are together, and just love you as well."
Lightly nibbling on her own lip she does admit, "Daddy might be difficult, he is very protective." It would just kill her if her father disowned her like he had Sunny. She did not want any of them fighting because of her. However, she did not voice it; everything would be just fine so long as she was by Wolfwood's side.
