Afterwards Neil just laid next to her holding her loosely in his arms. He kissed her head as he slowly stood up. He grabbed his phone and checked the time. He glanced over to Jasmine, "James should have finished a while ago" he said.

Jasmine nodded. She really wasn't sure what to say. She hadn't been able to keep control at all and she had not expected that.

Neil kept his eyes on her for few moments before saying "Time to get back to work." He waited a moment before calling James, he put the him on speaker so she could hear him.

Jasmine slowly sat up. She was in a bit of shock now but it wasn't his fault.
"What do you want Neil," James asked harshly when he answered. "If you want the toxicology reports on the bodies I don't have them and won't before a week. As for how they died, well even Jazz could have figured that out. So that's all I can give you."

"I thought you might have something that you could tell me." Neil responded as he kept his eyes on Jasmine. He waited for James to answer, he was one of the better morticians around.

James sighed. "They look like addicts to me," he said. "I can't say much more but Jazz will recognize the names. Guy's name is Alex, woman's name is Lily. Both died from a close-range bullet. That's all I got for you Neil."
Jasmine sighed when she heard the names. "They were like family to me," she said. "Good people."
"Addict's ain't good people Jazz," James growled. "You were one of 'em."

Thinking things might get worse Neil said "Thank you James" and hung up. He looked over to Jasmine and asked "What can you tell me about them? Anything of importance's?"

"They were good people and I was in the same boat as them," Jasmine muttered. "I do not know why they would be killed. They always paid and helped me out when I was short."

Neil thought a moment before saying "Alright." He was trying to piece the puzzle together, but there was still a few things that didn't add up.

"Mom's gonna kill me if she finds out what we've done," Jasmine said slowly. "She already frowns on me living with you because we're just dating."

Neil just shrugged his shoulders to what she said. He gave up caring about what that her mother wanted a while ago. His only real concern was for Jasmine.

Jasmine stood slowly, swaying a bit. The room was spinning.

Neil moved to her side and placed a hand on her side and asked "Are you okay?" After a moment he asked "What's wrong?" He knew that she probably wouldn't give him an answer to his last question.

Jasmine blinked. His touch focused her, it always did. "My abilities can be a little overwhelming sometimes," she said slowly. "I do not see the world as you do, Neil. I see people and animals and places but I also see auras and futures, feel desires and emotions, and hear thoughts."

Neil nodded his head, she had told him about her powers. However she did often leave out a few things. He said "Maybe you want to rest a few more minutes." He wasn't sure if resting would help her or not.
