As Ryuuk performed the job that was needed to clear the poison from her body, Hotaru's features began to flicker back and forth. Finally, all of the poison was gone from her system. Hotaru had gone still, her body frozen. Just when everyone thought it was safe, Hotaru's eyes flashed open. Her hair had remained black up until this point. Her eyes were completely red. Silver began to seep into her hair, filling it. Her markings began to slowly appear on her skin. Opening her mouth, her fangs were growing. She looked up to Kurama and growled fiercely at him. Lunging up at him, she attempted to snap at his neck.

Using her strength, she managed to wriggle out of his hold and looked around. Her gaze stopped on Masato. A soft growl echoed throughout the room. Turning, her gaze moved to rest on Kurama. After a few moments, she let out an angry howl and took off out the door for the forest.


Tomo grunted as he watched everything. This was not good. When she looked between Kurama and Masato, curiosity came to the forefront. Once she left, he spoke up. "Someone must go for her. It seems the only ones that are likely to still her raging blood are Masato and Kurama." His gaze was solemn but worry was still there. "She is in a blood rage at this time. Her beast has taken over." He shivered some.

Hotaru flowed through the forest. She was angry. That vile beast had locked her away. That was not how it was supposed to be. Even were she to become human by mating a human, they would both be there. His dark evil had locked her away. Snarling loudly, her claws came to the side and felt them sizzle through the tree. She heard the crash from a ways away.

Her gaze suddenly found another minor youkai. Snarling loudly, she pounced, her claws slicing into the minor youkai's chest. She bared her fangs at him. Leaning forward, she buried her fangs into the youkai's shoulder, dragging them down to leave a gaping wound. Rising up, she gave a feral grin at the youkai's terrified face. Her face was covered in the red blood. Raising her face to the sky, she let out a howl signifying the end of her hunt. She would feast. Raising her claws, she poised them above the youkai's neck. Licking her lips, she cared not that she was naked, her body having torn the kimono she had been wearing. The youkai stared up at her in terror.


Tomo nodded quietly as Kurama took off. Looking at Masato he let out a grunt. "What are you waiting for. Because of the fact that she paused on you shows that she cares about your well being, as well as that of the fox. I suggest you hurry." Tomo motioned for him to go. Looking to Lorelai, he patted her shoulder comfortingly. "All will be well child. Those two will help her come to her senses."

Kino jumped when Hotaru had run. Kurama followed after her, and Kino followed him. At the moment, she was more worried about Hotaru than what Hotaru could do to her. She took long, leaping strides. She passed Masato, pausing to look at him. She shifted back to human form. "See if they will help you run." She nodded to his Shikigami before she took off again. She managed to scent out Hotaru and get close. She spun, searching for Kurama and the woman. She shouted, half-hoping to attract her attention and bring her into sight. "Hotaru!" She kept going, following the smell. She felt something pass her, a blur against the trees. Kurama.. She quickly chased after him, sure that he would find the Hotaru.



Shippo was taken by surprise when Lori picked him up. But he also felt safe with her. He watched as Kurama, Kino, and Masato all chased after Hotaru. He looked up at Lori's grandpa. "Do you think they'll be okay?" He looked at the priest. "Lady Kino won't be hurt, will she?" He worried for the fox demoness that was so kind to him.

Slowly but surely, his ultimate being hadbmade itself manifest over the girls fragile frame. It looked nothing like the female that had been taken captive by the Toxic Invader. "It was only a matter of time. Yuukini shall live forever, and my legacy will be forever conversed till the end of days." Kyuub let out a psychotic chuckle. Small particles of darkness swarmed around him in tiny fluttkers before erupting into a mass aura that swept the air of the entire village.

Myuun stayed silent. There was something odd that even he could not comprehend. But, there was a familiarity to the oddity that gave him a bit if internal peace. As they approached the inner portion if the Village, a single man with dark skin stood with his hands in his pockets, a long golden staff resting in the crevice of his shoulder and neck. "We all knew this day would come. Who would have thought it would be today of all days. It is...your birthday. Right brother?" the man spoke calmly, his pigment shifting.to thatof a ghoulush tint of pale properties. His blue hair stiffened as he watched the two younger siblings approach.

"How nice of you to remember. I was starting to think you did not care about us. Seeing as you've turned your back on us. Tell me brother, how does it feel to know that YOU are the true cause of all this madness and suffering." Kyuub said with a twisted grin. He was attempting to play on Ryuuk's heart, but the blue haired man would not give him the satisfaction. "Yuukini,you foul demon. You have made your decision and it is time to face judgement."

Ryuuk gripped his staff carefully. As he rose it a few centimeters above he ground, he lowered it gently to the earth. It created a boon of energy, shaking the environment a small bit. He was ready to end this curse once and for all. Yuukini the Toxic Demon Spirit, his younger brother Kyuub. He had to be killed. Myuun could feel nothing but infinite sorrow as Kyuub darted towards Ryuuk. It was out if his hands now, the only thingbhe could do was keep others from interfering, knowing his very life hung in the balance.

Myuun watched as silently as he had ever done, watching his eldest brother being throttled by the demon and his other elder brother Kyuub. Kyuub was both faster and stronger than Ryuuk, and Ryuuk seemed to be reaching his limit. Had Ryuuk not cast such a strong ward on the village, he would probably have had more energy to combat this fight. Myuun continued to watch, and his emerald eyes already knew the outcome, he had known it since he had been corrupted by his brother Myuun. Though his heart was not tainted like his brothers, that was the difference that determined everything in the end. Myuun could never bring himself to kill anyone who walked this earth, and that had been the ink reason he had not cut his brothers evil heart out himself.

Clashes still echoed throughout the village, bright flashes of red and blue blinding the inner perimeter of the ward that had been placed upon the village. Villagers watched in awe as the monk battled a strange beast that seems to consist of mostly poison.  "Your weak body won't last long, and your running out of your little tricks and traps. You've used so much of your spiritual energy, I'm surprised you can even stand. But I, I can go on like his for days, even weeks. And I haven't even started to use my tricks yet. Face it, your will is broken and your body is battered, why must you continue to resist?"   Ryuuk leaned against his staff, his body barely able to hold itself upright even with such a sturdy support. He was still no match for his brothers might, Yuukini's spirit was just too strong for him to take alone and he wouldn't be able to fend for himself much longer. Myuun was greatly saddened by this, and he was destined to only bare witness as his pure hearted brother would surely enough die.

Myuun grinned evil at the silence of Ryuuk. He had even lost the will to speak. Myuun rushed forward, a downward slash cutting deep within the shin bone of Ryuuk. His blood covered the dirt as he fell over, grunts of agony and pain wreaking throughout his system. Myuun stepped over him, placing The tip of his Claymore into the shoulder of Ryuuk and pushing it completely through the skin.    "Gnh...ghaaaa!"   he grunted in sheer pain as Ryuuk slowly felt his own blood pooling beneath him. He was not worthy, he was not worthy to hold the staff any longer. Kyuub had bested him this entire battle, and he could feel his time was almost up. The three triangles beneath each of their eyes began to glow, the light blue triangle emitting a strong glow of blue light. Those triangle represented the life for e of each of the three brothers, and they only glow dim when one was about to die. And the one that had been glowing was Ryuuk's.    "I...I suffered so many years...to try and eliminate....the curse within you brother. He however...is too powerful for me to take alone. Kyuub, if you are still in there somewhere. I know...I failed you, but I tried my best."   

The seal itself began to deteriorate, fluttering into the sky as light blue. Alls of mana lifting into the heavens. Soon, Ryuuk lay motionless in the middle of the village. The blue triangle beneath the triplets left eyes all dispersed at once, the small blue light fluttering into the heavens as the mana from the seal had. Myuun was brought to tears as he fell to his knees, his fingers digging into the earth, hereafter he began to punch at the earth. His oldest brother was dead, and he could do nothing about it.

Gramps gave Shippo a comforting smile and tried to reassure the little fox. "Don't you worry my lad, Lady Kino is very experienced in battle. I'm sure Kurama and the others will help Lady Hotaru come to her senses before there's any need for violence." Gramps stiffened as he sensed the fight between Ryuuk and Kyuub before muttering darkly, "I smell trouble. Be on your guard everyone, we may yet have to make preparations for another battle this night..."

At the mention of battle, Lorelai couldn't help but tremble as she thought of the villagers and feared for their safety. She looked helplessly from her grandfather to Tomo and Kaede. "Another battle? What should we do? Should we evacuate?" Lorelai's eyes welled up with tears as she remembered the casualties from the last battle and the with children she'd spent the day playing who had already been through so much. Lorelai sniffled and quickly wiped her streaming eyes with her free hand as she miserably wondered aloud, "Why? Why is there so much senseless fighting? I...I don't want anyone else to die!" Lorelai hid her face in her sleeve as she tried to stop crying and regain her composure, feeling embarrassed from getting so emotional and crying in front of a group of people with a possible battle looming in the near future.

Shippo nodded, looking at the floor. He didn't like the feelings he got from outside. Lori-chan started to be upset. Shippo hugged her. "It's alright. It'll be fine. We made through the last one. We'll make it through this one." His words left a bitter feeling in his stomach. He knew there was no promise of victory, but he couldn't stand to see the girl crying. After a few moments of waiting for the girl to quiet down, Shippo would look at the door. He would look at Tomo and Kaede. "I'm going out there." Without waiting for an answer, the fox demon walked out to see two men. One faced a woman, the other was going after a wolf. Shippo ran toward the woman, he didn't like the feelings he got from what was about to happen. He glanced at the man, who appeared to be saying he didn't want to fight. He turned, heading to the demon instead of the woman. As he approached Myuun, he spoke. "Why are you here? Why did you kill him?" He sat next to Ryuuk, placing a hand on the body.

Raku heard the sounds of battle. He sniffed the air, smelling another wolf demon. It was not from either pack. He barked and growled at some of the other wolves around him. After a few moments, at least two dozen wolves ranging from dark brown to light silver in color would appear around Hiro. Raku growled, asking the wolf if he needed help.
