Marcus was more or less, torn. Tentacles were coming up and just- Dis was having a field day. Cass, Leon- Just- The mental images. He hated Dis in those moments. He really did. But- He'd have to thank Leon later for saving Cass. Thank him, and never mention the horrible things Dis was saying about him. Japanese animes indeed.
"I swear to ******** god this s**t keeps getting better and better." Marcus said under his breath. Looking around, Jerry seemed to be lacking in the defense department and- "Mind if I play body guard for a bit?"

A tentacle slid up around Clerise's foot and then paused. Something about the scent this human gave off...it was lacking in... delicious purity. It changed it's mind and began sliding towards Sasha instead. Quote: OHNOES! Sasha's innocence is in danger! But only those who are pure of heart and body can successfully attack this tentacle! Anything else and it will swiftly dodge! HP: 10 Auto Damage: 5

Once he was patched up a bit, Deryk looked up to see Sasha getting grabbed by the tentacle beast. There was no end to this! Getting his nerve together, he ran forth and slashed out at the beasty. He managed to get a decent hit. Though, if he had know it was notably dodging anyone who wasn't a virgin, he might not have tried to attack.

"Th-thank you!" Jerry beamed glassily at Marcus before movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. He wobbled, digesting this a moment.
Sasha... sasha was in danger... oh god- he slowly started to come to, as reality pointed at the importance of the situation. "N-no no no no NO!" He roared, wobbling forward to try to blast the tentacle...
Try as he might, though, the thing leaped out of the way of each shot. He even resorted to trying to swing Roar frantically, using him as a bludgeoning device but alas...
You were no longer pure of body, Jerry. Candace happened.

Clerise yelped as a tentacle curled around her leg for just a moment.
And then, it was running away.
"WAIT. COME BACK."
The redhead ran after it, waving a dagger at it-- who even taught her safety? No one? Okay yes Clerise, continue to run with what is essentially scissors-- "I JUST WANT TO BE FRIENDS."

What was with all of the goddamned tentacles???
Seriously, Cass couldn't help but just keep up with her defending of everybody fending off the damn things. This was going to turn into a porno at any minute. Seriously.
She was just going to keep stuff away and make sure it didn't touch her again.

Rep was fairly happy to have something to hit. And Sasha was at least inoffensive enough to warrant saving.
He stepped forward and swung at the tentacle, but it veered away.
He blinked. And swung again, again it moved away. Well ******** that.

Ennéa couldn't understand why the tentacles all seemed to be going after her all of the sudden. Thus far she has been mostly hanging back in the fight and not doing anything that would attract attention. "H-hey stop that!!" She squeaked in indignation as one particularly frisky tentacle tried to crawl up the inside of her coat. She took a swipe at it with her axe but more of them kept creeping at her. Nearby she could see another younger hunter like herself all tangled up with coiling tentacles. They were quickly engulfing her. Ennéa swung Baraz at one of the larger tentacles, trying to help the girl. "Hey! You okay? Hang on!" She called while trying to shake off a tentacle coiling around her ankle. Damage: 1 HP: 37/40 (Death division bonus) Charge: 1/3

Ryan watched as another tentacle snaked out and aimed to coil around another trainee. Which, for unknown reasons, stopped and quickly changed its course, choosing to snatch up a different girl instead.
Well that was a little weird...
Others attacked in order to rescue the trainee, but for some reason this tentacle was acting weird and wasn't allowing most of the trainees near. In fact, just about every time someone got too close to it, it veered away from them, save for a few.
Wah..?
Moving from defensive to offensive, Ryan figured he might as well lend a hand on this one. Besides, it wasn't really attacking anyone, so it wasn't like he needed to defend anyways.
"Hang tight! We'll get you down from there, Okay?" He called before, balling his hands into fists and punching the tentacle in the side with bruising force.

As Jerry seemed to miss, Marcus looked at those who were able to attack, and one of them was not made for attacking. Not in the overall scheme but- "Ryan!" Marcus liked Ryan. Good guy, and a moonie. And well- Marcus didn't want to see a healer going down. "Think you can try to get some juice from one of those things?" He held up his own blade, waiting for the beast to lash out again. Candace would normally attack the s**t out of the tentacle heading toward Sasha, but when she noticed that it was easily avoiding her at every turn she got suspicious. Clerise couldn't hit it either, nor could..Jerry? Deryk hit it easily...as did Ennea, who she hadn't seen in ages and couldn't possibly have kept up with training as much as they all had, and even Ryan hit it better than she did. Rep couldn't hit it either.  Why couldn't any of their stronger, more aggressive hunters touch the damn thing?At least Ryan killed it. Candace didn't linger on why they couldn't touch it, her attention on the fact that they were now down one fully charged harpoon that hadn't had a chance to be shot off. Of course.Son of a b***h. Rubbing her eyes, Candace reached into her bag for her bandages. There were the ones from Allan earlier..he was so kind. Had he returned from the Sahara yet? She hadn't seen him since they got there. She hoped he and Simon would return soon...they couldn't afford to lose so many leaders, so many hunters. Though that was why they were dispatching over a hundred hunters plus trainees, right? They expected this... It'll be okay, Candace. You know H is a strong man more than capable of own survival, just as you are. It's possible he'll be alright. The lump in her throat was back. Bix was worried.
He didn't want Molly to get tenta-raped! The albino hunter also cast his eyes on his bro, Before. He didn't want him to get tenta-raped either!
Bix fired a volley of arrow into the nearest tentacle. He'd enevr felt like his weapon was lame until he saw how tiny all the arrows looked embedded into the massive beast. A smaller tentacle shot out and swiped him off of his feet.
