We've also got a Building your Army Trailer that comes with more name changes. Should they be whited out? I don't know how much of a spoiler it is to say that Nono, Sariya, and Grego's names are now Nowi, Tharja, and Gregor. I think I saw a Ricken in there too. Also Olivia is Olivia. I like Gregor. Always liked that name. Was hoping for it. Also, I reserved the 3DS bundle today! Doesn't seem like it comes with the artbook, unfortunately, but I hope I get one just for fun. If not, there's still Knights of Iris, which I would have gotten anyway.

I'm guessing Nowi is pronounced Know-We and Tharja is pronounced THAR-YAH.
Either way, weird translated names are weird.

I don't think names count as spoilers.
Kinda sad Sariya is no longer Sariya. Really liked that name. Maybe Tharja will grow on me though.

So yeah, Canada already has it and Gamestop is now selling Awakening regardless of the release date?

That was actually an error and a one day thing only. So those who actually got it early have it early, those who didn't (in Canada) have to wait again till the release date. There was an error in communication so it became a one day thing. They're holding off on the rest now. Regardless, yea, now some Canadians have the game a week before we do X'P.

Yeah, just found that out. But I would have been a little miffed after not only hearing that some of the reserved shipments will be late, but also that people were getting it EARLY!

I tried pre-ordering it on Monday but the guy at gamestop said they stopped pre-ordesr for Fire Emblem, so the plan is that in two days, I'll just wake up early when it opens to go see if there's a copy left for me to snatch ~

WOO! THE GAME IS OFFICIALLY OUT IN AMERICA TODAY!
Now where's my copy, Gamestop?
Disclaimer: While this post is completely aware that European FE fans won't be seeing this game released until April and therefore even with the delay American FE fans don't have to wait nearly as long, this post also is aware that a release date is expected to live up to its name. People who have pre-ordered the game expect to have it in their hands on the promised date, therefore there is understandable frustration. And of course we are all willing to wait for an awesome game despite any complaining. Therefore while this post acknowledges the need to empathize, this post also understands that release date shenanigans are generally annoying and we wish they didn't exist.

That ******** shipment delay. My Gamestop said they'd call me when it came in. It's worth the art book, though.
Also: at least in my region, Awakening is completely sold out if you didn't reserve a copy. So it looks like Awakening will be just as successful here as in Japan. Yaaay!
