Ryou knew this, but it was really the only way to quell that dark fire in the Egyptian's eyes. Reaching out Ryou put a gentle kiss to Marik's forehead, nuzzling him back gently. "I know how you feel, with Bakura and I it was the opposite. He was always pushing me away and I was always trying to gain his approval and attention, why do you think I always helped in setting up the traps for my friends? Malik needs to let go of his anger and then he'll see you in a new light, don't give up........" He whispered, his turn to comfort the Yami.

Mariks emotions softened as Ryou kissed him and told him about Bakura and him.
"But...but how can I help with that?"
It was obvious that the blond wanted Malik and wanted to help him. Bakura shook his head as he listened.
"Oddly enough he's a lot like you...wanting to help, trying to prove his worth."

"Show him you can be gentle and kind like you are with me, show him that you have self control to pull back when he wants and comfort him when he's in pain. I know that sometimes he suffers because of his mental pain, comfort him and show him it's not all bad." He whispered, gently stroking Marik's hair. Ryou would talk to him too of course, see if he could open Malik up on his end.

Marik looked to Ryou lay his head on the teen's shoulder. He looked so tamed in this one weakness of his.
"But how can I...? He wont let me close enough to show him...."
he knew very welll that Malik was in pain but he couldn't get close to help it the teen wouldn't let him.

That sounded a lot easier than it should have been. There had to be a catch right? Marik looked up to ryou as if asking if this was a trick on his part. Bakura sighed knowing that Ryou knew this best. he wanted to tell that to Marik but he wouldn't take over.

"It's a start, and if you can show him that you are willing to wait for him no matter how long it takes then I'm sure he'll open up to you." It naturally went against a Yami's nature to be patient, so when it was displayed it made things all the more important. And Malik himself wasn't a patient person to begin with, so he knew it would have a bigger impact then it would with Yugi who had the most patience then even him.

Marik didn't feel comfortable just sitting and waiting. But he would try it at least. Who knew how to catch a Hikari's heart like a hikari that, even if he wouldn't admit it, was in love.
"Thanks Ryou. I guess I should start huh?"
Leaning over he nibbled on the boy neck againg before going back with in the boy.

Ryou nodded and smiled, but then his eyes widened when Marik went in. But it wasn't due to the fact of it, but because when he went limp he fell on Ryou. Ryou wasn't the strongest of people, and soon he was squirming and struggling to get out from under the unconscious Egyptian.

Bakura sighed with relief at the fact that Marik was going to go after Malik now and not Ryou. Thpugh relief turned into slight humor as Ryou struggled to get out from under hi,
"Ryou...don't try to push him off you, he's too heavey. thry sliding out from under hin instead."
He would rty to be more helpful to the teen.

Ryou continued to struggle and tried to slide out like he said, but with the bigger arms and the fact that he was spread out all over the place he tired out and just lay there. "Crap I'm stuck, but see I knew that Marik was only paying all that attention to me because he was lonely. It's painfully clear that he wants his own Hikari and is trying to use me as a substitute because I'm the only one that lets him get close, trust your Hikari I've been doing this for a while." Though the subject of Marik and Malik had been a more off-limits until now, perhaps he was getting desperate now?

bakura watched as Ryou struggled and failed to get up from Marik.
"I see...I just...."
Bakura was having trouble puttin his thought in words.
"you're not the only one that was lonely..."
There he said it. Now he waited for Ryou's reaction.

Ryou paused at that, and grew silent for a bit before speaking. "It took.........me a while to want to get you back. I wasn't sure if you were in the Ring or not, but I wanted to try. I imagine that it would be rather lonely after so long......."
The Mirror in Ryou's room giggled, a malevolent feeling coming from it as it whispered to Bakura. "3 years..........it took him 3 years to get you back even when he knew where you were all along!"

Bakura sighed when he heard Yami Ryou trying to make him mad. Actually it only suceeded in making him want to make this time more different.
"I understand... you didn't know If it was still around or not...and I wasn't the greatest Yami to you either."
He didn't blame Ryou at all for how long it took him. Part of him knew that he would come for him. He just wished that so much hadn't happened during that time.
"A lot of things change while I was gone...."
