Kai pulled kept her injured arm to herself and bent down trying to ignore the pain. If she hadn't tried to pull those fancy acrobatic moves her wrist wouldn't hurt so much she assumed.
"Long trip, I'm guessing."
She whispered. It had become pitch black in the truck after leaving the IO base.
"My mother, shouldn't have done this. Kane shouldn't have given her the crystal."

Ivana heard one of her subordinates say over a direct comm link to the garage, "Excellent! Carry on."
Behind the I.O. director, a pitched battle between the electrical cat dragon and Threshold with heavy Black Talon backup could be heard....

When Kai moved her hand, Dundee looked around, then started looking for scraps of anything in the truck. "I think you'll be better off once I figure out how to get off that cuff." Dundee said quietly with a shy smile. Ever the intelligent one, he finally found what he was looking for in a piece of wood, a hammer that someone left behind and . . . a roll of duct tape? Jeezus, for a government agency, these IO bums are SLOPPY!
"*AHEM!* Snide remarks from the fourth wall is MY job, idiot!"
C.J., what the hell are you doing here? You're NOT EVEN HERE!!
"Trollin' the writers, livin' it up . . . ya know, what I always do on my time off."
Meanwhile, Arell was over by the door of the truck, but laid low, helping Dundee see better by using his lighter for a light.

 It was terrible! Something had the guards on edge, and Nathalia wanted to know what it was. She gave Rachel a quick, serious look, before tugging a towel on. "Be right back." Nat tossed over her shoulder, making her way to the entrance of the showers where the guards were only a few feet away from.
She cocked her head, pretending to look for her soap as she attempted to draw at least fragments from their conversation. All the while she shivered slightly. It was a bit cold without the water pounding over her.

 A dark figure slowly appeared in the halls of I.O and lurked swiftly in the shadows. The heartbeats of the guards and any other people filled his ears. His radar like mind helped him greatly as he moved swiftly and quietly passed the cameras which gave most security shame as he waited for them to face opposite direction before coming out of the shadow. For a blind teenager, no one would expect him to have theses 'gifts'.

Arell snarled when the pain set in. Turns out the bastards got him. Kane got him clean through . . . and some of those energy bolts burnt him bad . . . and around this time, the gator side and the human side, were deep in mental debate. He closed his eyes after bandaging the wound Kane left. He was no stranger to scars, this would be no different.
"You fool! Stupid foolish human . . . always showing your goddamn sympathy towards your kills. Haven't had a good bite to eat in months . . . we should have eaten the sonuvabitch!" the gator side spoke in Arell's mind, expressing his disappointment in the way the fight was managed.
"No. We administered justice. He fought honorably, and he went down. That's all we needed. Bad enough Kai resents us for it." he responded.
"Of all the bullshit that's happened, and the opinion of someone you didn't get on the right foot with is the only thing you can FOCUS ON?! I knew you humans were soft, but CHRIST!"
"So what? We got shot a few times. Getting ourselves damn near killed's an occupational hazard. Whether it's me getting killed by the IO assholes, or you getting turned into a pair of boots!"
"HA! You say that NOW. Sentimental human fool."
On the outside, Dundee crawled over to Arell and put a blanket overtop the man. Looked like he was gonna stand watch.

Kai rummaged through her utility belt and then her gloves that could not be put on due to the cuffs. In her gloves she pulled out a long pick like device, something that would be used to escape easily and slip out of middle finger of either glove. She pushed it under the cuff where the crystal was and upon pulling on the crystal she realized that the back end was sharp and digging into her skin or carried too much friction to rub against the metal inside. The truck hit a bump and her lock pick became wedged under the cuff.
"One more lock pick. I don't want to remove the cuffs before the crystal, but... It seems to be that I can only chose the lesser of two evils."
She whispered to herself. Kai looked over to Arell and Dundee who were now next to each other and she scooted a little away from Arell, looking to the empty space between herself and the man who killed her uncle. She almost couldn't look him in the face, it might bring her to tears knowing what he'd done. So for now, her eyes kept from looking at him. Her eyes to the open space, blank, almost as if she wasn't completely there.
"Dundee, could you... help me with this."

"Oh, you weren't told?"
Amber smiled and then leaned back on the bed setting her hands back behind her.
"Well, then I shouldn't probably say anything... you know. Surprises are so much more fun then knowing and losing anticipation. But boy will you guys be thrilled when we are let out to play together with some of IO's friends."
"More like enemies."
Rainmaker replied. She stood up and walked over to the door to listen for a moment. Not knowing how close the guards would be and if they could hear through the door at all. She walked back over to Caitlin looking to her then to Amber with a slight grimace.
"None of this is fun. Were you brainwashed or hit on the head?"
She glared at Amber, and then looked to Caitlin walking over and putting her hands on not only Caitlin's shoulder but also Roxy's
"This place is a prison and our purpose is to serve as their pets, trained, and ultimately beaten to submit to their orders."
"I knew it!"
Roxy replied almost frustrated knowing her hunch was right.
"I should have chosen the other option. This place can go rot in a hole for all I care."
She had to resist the urge to just walk right out of the room and try to leave. Really wanted to leave now.
"We have to stay, you two may have powers. If you do, we may have a chance."
Rainmaker whispered trying to lower the tone. Out of all the girls in the room Roxy and Amber definitely had to be the one's loud enough for others outside to hear.
"And please, keep it down."

The guards posted outside the showers spoke to each other quietly:
1) "So... it starts tonight, just after all the attacks?
2) "Yeah, we'll need to be moving them all to the incubation chamber just after mid."
1) "What's the survival rate? .... Considering we'll be disposing of the 'fails'."
2) "It's going to be a mess, believe me. We got about a hundred kids here, and when they did this years ago -- there were bodies everywhere."
1) "What will bug me the most will be the smell..."
.........................
Caitlin had a sinking feeling about what was next, "Rox, I don't think any of us had a choice in the first place. I'm going out on a limb here and guess that all of us that have been brought here are children of mutants. And maybe... they know we are, because they knew about our parents possibly from them having a hand in their evolution. How am I doing so far, Amber?"

Dundee eased back over. "Sure thing, hon." he said, getting back over to Kai. While Arell was resting after taking care of his wounds, this gave Dundee and Kai that nice little quality time together . . . the light from his cell phone guided him over.
"Looks like an easy lock. We could have this off soon." he whispered, getting the hammer and the wood piece. They'd have to work quick in order to get that crystal (and the cuff) out!

"no... here."
She pulled out another lock pick from her other glove and handed it to him. Dundee might suspect that something was up, if she could pick the lock herself then why she would have him do it.
"Pick the lock open, quickly get the crystal gone. I may go out when the cuff is unlocked. And I would say... keep the crystal in a case of some kind. It's expensive...and I don't trust anyone else to hold it."

Her eyes widened and Nat could swear her heart beat had just jumped a good six beats. What did they mean, chambers? Was this a freaking gas camp?! Wait, did they say one hundred kids? Where were the rest at? And more troublesome, death rates?!?!
Nathalia nearly fell on her face racing back to Rachel. It wouldn't surprise her one bit if she looked insane.

Dundee raised an eyebrow. Did she have that THIS WHOLE TIME?!? Not bothering to question it (they just spent quality time half-naked in an interrogation room, watched big Cajun dude brutally GREASE somebody and currently Dundee was having mental debates about leaving Arell to go join the Bat-Family with RC . . . who admittedly, he has a crush on. Writer says "strange has become the new Normal with these guys.") he got to work on the lock. Smirking, he eased the lock and soon . . . it was open! He snagged the crystal and put it in his gris gris satchel with a grin.
"Yer all set, hon. Now get some rest. We had a rather big afternoon . . . hey, if we're lucky, the big guy'll take us out for Sushi!" he whispered optimistically.

Breathing, lowly to himself, he had to keep going. Deal with the fact, he was going to be a deader then one of those stuffed deer heads on the wall. Though, using the 3-D like image in his head, he slide by the guards like if he was a shadow. He just need to get to a server. That was all he had to do to find out the truth and lucky, there were three within a 20 Yard Radius of him, but which would be safer?

The I.O. guards were too occupied with their conversation to notice either Nathalia stumbling back deeper in the showers or Blindside sneaking past their view. When Nat stumbled back toward Rachel with a crazed look in her eyes, confusion formed on the tall blonde's face, as she stood under the shower head washing out the shampoo out of her hair. Rachel Goldman whispered harshly, "What happened!? What's wrong!?"
