And you can always ask Seryn to put in Gemma's cottage. You don't have to change her housing plans.

I didn't put Gemma's cottage in because, just like the relationship thread, I'm not putting in things that aren't already made. It's easier for me and my system if I just add stuff as it's added to the guild. Like whenever someone puts up a profile, I'll edit it into the relationships thread. And whenever a residence is posted, I'll add it to the map.

Loli, she's lost Matt and Crimson already. It's only a matter of time before she loses her parents, offscreen of course, too. And then her students will move on without her, to grow up to be responsible, sensible adults; (Hah, fat chance!)
She's really pretty much in a vicious cycle, if you ask me.
Mentally and/or emotionally unhinged would be what she's probably like, though she'll try her best to hide it. It's all really taking a toll on her, so it's not like 'nothing's' changed.

I forgot about Matt, but she wasn't that close to Crimson, was she? I don't know, I just don't understand how it could lead to mental collapse like that. o___o I don't know, Gemma has always struck me as someone who bounces back easily.

@Crimson -- Well, yeah, Loli. He's probably the only one who actually enjoyed when she was being chipper and random. She was closer to him than Nanami, anyway.
@Gemma -- Those are just contributing factors, Loli. It's a slow deterioration. The paranoia and the frustration and the anger, it's all bubbling up. It's not just them, they just helped ease it over, but once they're gone... it all goes kaput! And she's left to fend for herself on dealing with all the warring emotions. =o
And no, she's not that type. She's bottling it all up, which is also not healthy for her. She's supressing what she's supposed to let out, so it's gonna have to come out sooner or later.

I always imagined Nanami and Gemma were closer than Gemma and Crimson. You know, because Nanami and Gemma actually hung out regularly. And why wouldn't Nanami like Gemma when she was being herself? I'd say that's exactly why Nanami likes her, because she's energetic and positive.
I still don't get why she's going through so much inner turmoil, since she struck me as being a stronger character than that, but whatever, she's your character, I'm not going to be nitpicky about something I know nothing about.

O-o. That's surprising me, Osaka o-o. I thought Gemma only spoke with Crimson like two or three times at random festivals... And would "loosing her friends" really be that much of a factor? I mean, we all have friends that comes and go. God know I dont speak to the same people I talked too 2 or 3 years ago. And it's not like everyone she knew all died at the same time o-o.
As for the students, it's like that for every teaher? XD She gets a new batch everyyear to replace the old ones anyway XD
But yeah, Gemma always struck me as the kind of bubbly woman who didn't really care about anything and isn't affect by stuff to begin with. Or that's the impression she gave when she came in o-o.

Ok, look.
The fact of the matter was, she was close with BOTH Nanami and Crimson. There is a big difference in how she was around them, though.
With Nanami: More subdued, tried to not be so impulsive; since she wanted to leave a good impression, because she liked her.
With Crimson: Since she didn't 'like like' him, she didn't have to worry what she said or how she acted. She was more bubbly and more sincere to her thoughts and feelings, while with Nanami she was much more rigid on herself. 'I've gotta act like this, I don't want her to think I'm childish or a total mess. Or whatever.'
And no, they hung out a lot more than just Festivals, it's just that that was the only time we could play out, I think. She saw him a lot more frequently than just on festivals. But both Seryn and I were busy elsewhere, and we never got to play out all three of them together. Or an time where it was just them outside of a Festival, because school would get in the way or we'd just never get aroud to it.
As for the students, she's probably more close to the ones she cares for, since she feels she's somehow protecting them, you know? And since they only really see her as a teacher, then they probably don't go talk to her outside of class or anything. You know, it's like, she's going and confronting Judith's iron fist of command for them and they know very little, if anything, about any struggle she might be doing.
That's the illusion she projects by bottling it all up inside, you see? She doesn't get mad at small slights, she bottles it up. Her cousin leaves her to the dogs, she bottles it up. A close friend goes off and leaves her behind to live somewhere else/die, she bottles it up. It's all about keeping the image that she is fine, and that everything in her life is fine; I mean, for her to be bubbly and quirky she has to be happy and not have any problems, right? She's not going to be bubbly and quirky when she's upset, don't you think? She'll still act happy and quirky, but there's more to her than just the happy and quirky. She's angry, she's sad, she's bitter, she's jealous, she's growing old, she hates her boss, she only has a few friends who like her for who she is or what she tries to be, she's frustrated, she's lonely.
You see, she won't be a deppressive mess all the time, or even some of the time, but she's certainly no doe eyed idealist like she seems to portray to convince you to believe her like so.

Ah, if you say so. Like Loli said, she'S your character, you're the one who knows best. I'm just saying how I saw her appearing in the RP seemed different that that, but, again, it's your character and you know best. I just saw her here and there.
I'll still say the friendship with Crimson surprises me, especially since the last time I saw those two together, he was irritated at her XD Oh well~

Wait, what happened to Gemma having a thing for Crimson? o____o Because honestly, all this time, I've been under the impression that she liked him. At least more than she liked Nanami. You DID refer to them both, in character, as love interests.
And I don't know where you got this bubbly = no problems idea. That's bullshit. You can have problems in life and still be a positive, happy person. Just because your cousin and your friend moved away, and you're lonely, doesn't mean that you can't truly be happy. By all means, say that she's lonely and it's affecting her mood. But don't try to back it up with unrealistic excuses like "No one truly cares for her for who she is! D'="
It's all about presentation. Even if Gemma is this super complex character in your head, you haven't presented her as anything else but a cute, bubbly, happy-go-lucky type. (Because even happy-go-lucky types are allowed moments of doubt and sadness.) So you don't get to be frustrated due to our confusion. Up until this point, since you've only hinted at New!Gemma, we've all had one idea of your character, and now you're presenting a completely new one. I'm not saying you can't evolve them, but it feels like too much of a change in too little time. So don't get mad at us because we're confused and we thought otherwise. Honestly, up until this point, I was being perfectly civil, and I was honestly curious about why this character change was coming about, because it didn't fit with my impression of the character.
