"Oh that is all right, it will heal in time, it is not too deep anyway I don't think." and gently touched the wounds. "Thank you." He started walking again, looking over the somewhat wrinkled drafts. All that was left was his father, and he'd sign it willingly. Of course as they reached the bedroom the bear-eared maid walked out, papers in hand before turning to spot the prince. "Master," She said, walking closer and grabbing his shoulders, leaning her mouth into his ear before silently whispering into it. The prince focused on what part of her face he could see before both his ears perked, the white slowly becoming off a shade or two. But she continued to speak on a level only their ears could hear, lips barely moving. Once finished she did move away, handing Elliot back the papers where a scribbled signature was. "I apologize." She bowed then looked at Lily, bowing to her as well before departing in the direction they had just come from. Elliot looked at two stacks of papers in his hands calmly before looking at the bedroom door. "We shall skip my father for today, Lily. But it appears I've got to finalize this draft and send it out. The sketch you drew of yourself is still in the study, correct?" And looked through the papers, watching a few edits here and there in illegible handwriting. The lamps did not change their off-white shade.

Leo stood quietly as the maid spoke with the master, knowing he was not meant to hear what was said and so not trying to hear it. when the maid bowed to him as well he flushed and quickly bowed back, lower than her initial bow. he was never bowed to and it felt wierd. when the master asked where his drawing was he nodded, "yes, it is still there, master." but why would he need the picture after getting those papers? Leo had a sinking feeling in his stomach,w as the master planning on selling him? or sending him to a new master? he fervently hoped not. but if he was-what had Leo done wrong? had he failed to please the master? was there something more he could do to make sure that the master didn't send him away? maybe he should offer his services more or should be more inventive...he kept his face blank as he thought, not wanting to show any emotion and draw the master's attention.

"All right, we'll just need to have it copied, I know someone who can do that. It's much easier than drawing it over and over and over again." he said, more to himself then to her. "It shouldn't take long for the papers to finish copying, but then it will take roughly two weeks before reaching their destination, and then they'll be waiting another week." He sighed. "It will take a month at least for everything." He looked at the ceiling, noticing the lights before changing his mood, the color brightening again. "Well, Lily, it looks like our schedule has been cut short dramatically. What would you like to do after I finish finalizing the draft?

Leo sat at the master's feet and rested his head on the master's knee. he was too occupied with worrying over what he had done wrong than to notice the lights, but every muttered word from the master made him sick to his stomach. several copied made? do he was going to offer him to several men? maybe he would be placed for auction, but he had one month. one month to convince the master he was worth keeping. that was possible, he could learn the master's likes and dislikes by then. he could make himself useful. he smiled when the master asked him what he wanted to do. "it is up to you, master. i am happy as long as i am with you." he said before softly kissing the master's knee and resting his head there once more. he would just have to try harder from now on

The man stroked her hair which a small laugh. "And that is how I feel, yet we cannot both be indecisive." he said, starting to work, chair angled as it was before so they could both do what they pleased, Elliot working and Lily resting her head. he was calm, pen scratching at the paper as the ink took shape into lines and then words. Lily had a family out there somewhere, and it had been six years since he'd seen them. He had parents and a possible sibling, his home had been beautiful, and he loved it. Oh. Elliot looked up and out the window. She had shared a memory, why couldn't he? The prince had been about to stand up, remembering the head on his knee. It was a good idea, showing Lily the memory. He had managed to save one crystal flower, but his work. he stared at it, debating the life choices before abandoning it and looking down at Lily. "Would you care to see a memory of mine, Lily?" and smiled, the lamps in the room turning into a very excited and happy color. How could she resist?

Leo looked up at the master when he asked if Leo wanted to see a memory of his. he cocked his head to the side, his brow furrowing slightly, "master?" but he reminded himself to be agreaable, to make sure the master knew that he was interested at all times. "of course i would, master. please show me?" he kept his face ipen, showing he was eager to see whatever the master wanted to show him. proving he was happy to please and wanted nothing more than his master's happiness.

Elliot didn't ignore Lily's questioning look. "No? It is supposedly much colder today then it was yesterday." And glanced again out the window as Lily decided to change her mind. Suspicious, but she did indeed hide her emotions, didn't she? And he couldn't make a false claim if he didn't know what she was feeling. He looked down at her again. "Miss Lily, oh how do I word this properly?" he asked, stroking the other's hair again. "You are so reserved. Why is that?" of course Elliot was reserved as well, but even he had people to show his feelings to, Lily had him, didn't he?

Leo lowered his eyes at the master's question, "i-i just..." he bit his lip almost hard enough to draw blood, at a loss as to what to do. "I just want to please you master-" he whispered softly, looking up at the man. "i only wish to stay by your side and to keep you happy." he dropped his gaze once more, not wanting to look into the master's face, "if you-you wish to send me away than i will accept that i have failed to serve you properly and pray that i might prove better for my new master, but please-" his voice broke and a tremor of fear entered it, "please do not send me back, master. i swear, i will do anything you ask of me. if you order me to never speak again, these will be the last words to leavemy lips, but please, allow me to stay near you. even if it is only in the same country, that is ok. i will be happy, but-i'll do anything to not be sent back." that was his real fear, to be sent back to Reta and left at the mercy of those who viewed him as a tool that had not worked properly.

The face of curiosity quickly turned to guilt, ears flattening against his skull as the lamps turned a dark shade of gray and green mixing together. She had tried to piece the puzzle together and got a completely different result. He had frightened her, horrified her even. "No, no I am not sending you back, Lily. I told you I wouldn't and I still stand by my word." he said, trying to keep the guilt out of his voice, trying to sound comforting. He had hurt Lily. Getting off the chair he hugged her close to him. "You are not being sent back, I would not be so cruel." He murmured, stroking her hair. "I did not mean to frighten you, no, the papers are for something entirely different." grabbing themhe sat down beside the teen and presented the nearly completed finalized draft. "These papers are indeed about you, but I am sending them to Falia, to see if your family is still alive, or if anyone recognizes you." He didn't want to see her reaction. "It is selfish of me to do so, and without asking you. No I am trying to find someone that loves you regardless of what you are, your gender, someone who has missed you completely and wholeheartedly wishes for you to return home." his words were quickening as he continued to shuffle through them. It was practically explaining how the kingdom of Nalenyr had obtained Lily. But he stopped, words gone and emotions flooding his brain. A very foreign feeling as he tried to make sense of the colors and the feelings, the quick panic causing a shot of adrenaline to fill his veins. He closed his eyes, placing them neatly back together. "You will not be sent back if that is not what you wish, but at the very least, would it hurt to find the woman who gave birth to you? I do not want you to leave my side either."

Leo's hand slowly reached forward and touched the papers, too shocked to speak. the master was trying to find his family? to let them know he was safe and alive? a single tear rolled down his cheek and he looked at the master, his eyes wide. "you-" his voice broke and he had to clear it, "you would allow me to see my family?" his voice was soft, barely loud enough to be heard as if afriad saying it too loud would somehow make it all a dream. "my mother? oak-sensei? you want to find them?" he shook his head and then lowered it. he'd been so stupid! "forgive me, master." a hand came up to cover his mouth, to hold in the sounds of his crying. "thank you, thank you a thousand times. even-even if nothing comes of this-of they cannot be found," if they were dead, "just the fact that you are doing this for me-it's almost too much, master. how can i ever repay such kindness?"

Gray eyes glanced over at the shocked face, watching the tip of Lily's nose redden, eyes tearing up and only a single tear slipping. He offered the papers , ears lifting somewhat. Elliot felt like a child, nervous, afraid of being punished for doing something that had seemed right. Lily did want to cry, his voice had cracked. "of course." He responded. "I want to find them." To help them, to help Lily. He gave a small smile, wrapping his arms gently around the teen. he was happy, Elliot was so relieved, Lily was so happy he was crying, it almost made the prince want to cry. "We will find them, Lily. We will find someone." he gently let go, adjusting his sleeves and wiping her tears away. "And there is no need to repay me. We are friends are we not? you are mine, nonetheless. and if you continue crying you will drown yourself in them." he said, chuckling. "I am merely glad I could help."

"Friends?" was there such thing? he could hardly remember. there were only masters and fellow bentiens-could he call them friends? no, they were rivals, not friends. he carefully wiped his eyes and stopped the streaming tears with some effort. "thank you, even if no one claims me, thank you." hoe foolish had he been for assuming the prince was trying to be rid of him. this man was far too kind for that. "master? may we still go and see your memory?" right now he wanted to show the master just how greatful he was, but he didn't think the master would be pleased if Leo tried something like that here again so he would wait until they were alone in his rooms.

Elliot stayed sitting, watching the bentien with a smile. "You are quite welcome, Lily." and placed the papers back on the desk, moving to sit back in his chair. he had to finish working on the papers, the sooner he finished the sooner they could find her family. What was Lily's real name, anyway? He hadn't put anything at all, merely using the male pronoun instead to refer to Lily. He didn't want to ask again, the first time he'd asked Lily seemed to nearly break down. "Hm? Oh yes, that's right. However the flower is outside so you'll need to dress inappropriately, are you wearing slippers or boots?" He asked. "We'll have to go back to my room to retrieve your hat and jacket." Elliot smiled, holding a hand to help Lily off the ground. "it's cold out, we can't have you getting sick."

Leo moved to lean on the master's leg again, his eyes closed as he tried to compose himself again. his system had taken too many shocks in too short of a time. his eyes started open when asked what type of shoes he was wearing and he cleared his throat, "i-uh, i'm not wearing any," he confessed softly. wearing shoes just felt so strange...they were heavy, even the slippers, and he felt like he was going to fall. when told he needed to change he nodded, "i can go and change while you finish here, master. do you want me to get your coat and hat as well?" he stood, ready to go and do as he said

"No I will accompany you. I cannot have you walking by yourself, Lily." and glanced at her feet. You will need to get used to wearing shoes. Perhaps we should try stockings first for your feet." He wondered, looking at where her feet would be had the outfit not covered them. "Come along, I will finish the paperwork after I show you the memory. We'll go to my room first to get you properly dressed. it is cold out, and you will need to wear boots, but inside the halls you will wear stockings, understood?" He asked, taking the bentien's hand and walking out of the office, walking towards the stairway again.
