Judging from everything, the inhabitants of this place, the Surrounding, didn't seem to know much more than they did, and that, more than anything was a good indication that this wasn't their fault. They didn't seem to want them there anymore than most of them wanted to be there.

But, if they hadn't brought them, who had? Was it their evil counterparts? Or perhaps this Surrounding? It wasn't improbable that the realm itself brought them here, if it needed help, though he wasn't about to mention that theory out-loud. It happened in video games all the time.

And then there was that weird song, one that he suspected didn't bod well for this place. It wasn't a happy sort of sound, but there was little they could do about it now. Nothing but to wait, and hope that these zodiacs could figure out what was going on.

Of course, the moment that he decided that, the road decided to rock, toppling him over onto the ground. "Why hello again," he muttered to it, chuckling. Just great. He had just gotten everything more or less figured out, when this had to happen. "You okay Raphael?"

Zue looked like he wanted to sass. Oh did he ever. He wanted to sneer and tell Virgo to stop bossing him around...but this wasn't the time for that. There was a time and place to be an a**, and this was not it. Instead, the half-cat nodded to the Captain, turning one look over to Aya as he turned towards the origin of the impact.

"I doubt it." With that he sprinted off, his form shifting mid-leap into the large, fluffy purple maine coon. He darted through the crowd, over some, under others; but Ricky was unfortunate enough to have the entirety of the cat's weight pressed right down on him, and even worse still to be used as a spring board.

"Sorry!" Sadly, he didn't sound sorry, but he was at least still well on his way to investigate.

".... Are we at some sort of Sci fi convention?" Was the words she tried to speak out, but it probably came out in some screeched and highly inaudible version. Yeah, today jsut was NOT her day. She was originally starting to feel sleepy again, but what felt like a jet was flung below them...

...THe road was starting to fail. Ever been in a situation where someone says DONT LOOK DOWN, and yet you still do and it causes you to freak out even more so? Well, thats what happened...minus the prompting of not to look. She was near the edge of the bridge as is, so when she fell she got a REALLY darn good look below them.

Oh hell oh hell.

"Uggh..." Ooowwwww. Amy was talented enough to slam her nose pretty hard, and she felt a little blood run from it. Before she noticed that the other two had been reaching for her, she grabbed the bottom on her tank top and did her best to wipe off what blood she could. Damn it, even if it was just a junky tank, this sucked.

Slowly recovering, and feeling her own body shake from the sudden dramatic turn of events, she felt Joce reaching out for her and instinctively grabbed back. "I'm ok, just hurt my nose...I don't think it's broken though." Her voice was weak, and probably not that audible to anyone too far form her with all the noise and loud voices calling out after that initial tremor. She pulled herself closely to Regina and Joce, trying to calm her shaking body.

"Not sure that I can stand up yet, gimmie a moment..."

"Self-defense always holds up in court," snapped Keren sourly, moving as far away from the drunken sort-of-Scotsman as she could, given limited space and crowding. Especially when you were a teenaged girl being ganged up on by a Ke$ha-singing terrorist! She deserved a medal, was what she deserved.

Of course, given everything that happened next, Keren was beginning to wonder if she didn't prefer being leaned on and made fun of. It definitely beat a) Hell's Jukebox and b) Spacequakes.

When a particularly strong tremor sent her colliding with Ricky - who she did not recognize as the guy she had elbowed only minutes before, Keren decided that however bad things had been before... this was infinitely worse.

"SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP!" she yowled, clinging to the older man for balance. Hypocrisy was lost on her - she just wanted to stay upright.

"Get off you? Hell no. If i sit on you then you can't get up and do something silly like try to touch one of the weirdo's or something. I think we're safer right where we are. If that happens again and we stay on the ground we can't fall over again." There was no way she was getting off Regina's legs. Nope.

it seemed sensible to her. Though she was still convinced that as soon as she found out what had caused all this trouble she was going to break it's nose.

"Oh, and i'm not okay. I busted both of my knees pretty hard and i'm royally pissed off at this whole situation."

Although Ricky tried to stand, he found himself bombarded with other bodies in his attempts. First, the cat Zue bounced off him with the full weight of the cat's leap toppling him over again as the ground continued to crumble and shake - and then the rude Keren grabbed hold of him. He nearly fell over for a third time, but managed to ground himself enough to catch her fall instead.

"Easy there, girl," he laughed, until he recognized her as the woman who had elbowed him earlier. He didn't like that girl, he recalled. He then gently shoved her aside to keep a distance. However, it seemed her weight was helping him keep his balance, because once he pushed her aside he had trouble standing once more.

The cat she had easily ignored for the sake, he was small after all and it was hard to see when attentions were focused elsewhere. Someone, Bela, bumping into her was another thing and Roxy shot a glare at the other girl before she noticed her garb. It could have used some work but really, Roxy approved. "Just watch where you're going, okay?" She replied as calmly as she could, taking a hint from her earlier interactions with Virgo.

Before she could find a reply from her friends, and also reply on how amazing that green haired princess looking person looked. Roxy was knocked off her feet. Somehow in the back of her mind, something told her to cling further to her bedazzler even though it was merely a replaceable inanimate object - but pff, tell that to her.

She had no idea if she took anyone else with her, or if there was just a cascade of people falling down around her. Roxy honestly bounced a little before her side hit the ground with a hiss running through her teeth.

"What the hell ..."

"Oh s**t, that chick's got wings." The talking cats and dead worlds and gingers failed to impress her as anything more than bizarre annoyances, but an honest-to-god fairy princess? On the hierarchy of things that made Mal's inner-little girl squeal with excitement, fairy princesses were wedged somewhere between unicorns and Nancy Drew. Maybe rainbow space road wasn't so awful after -

Before Mal could finish her hilariously ill-timed thought, their little streak among the stars rumbled violently. She didn't have a chance to see what had caused the tremor, as her face was forced to attend to a very pressing meeting with the ground. A very pressing, very painful meeting. In her inebriated state, gravity was already a difficult concept to grasp. A strong wind would have been enough to knock her on her a**, let alone a massive black blob colliding with the world.

"What did you have for lunch, Joce? Three cheeseburgers?" If telling her to get off wasn't going to work she was just going to have to attempt another route; a less subtle, considerably more childish route (sad, considering she often prided herself on being just and kind to others. exceptions to all rules, she supposed).

"Really, I just want to make sure that Amy is okay. I think she's bleeding and it's kind of hard to check on her when you're... Ugh... Sitting on me." She huffed softly as she tried to move again, this time only as much as to reach into her pocket for the cloth she generally used to wipe off her camera lens. Without her camera it served no purpose save for being held out to Amy. "Here..."

"Jesus Christ ain't got nothin' to do with it," she replied to Ricky in her best southern drawl from where she had landed, an impressive feat, for an irish-born-and-bred lass. The crumbling road had knocked her off her feet, enough that she'd had to catch herself on her forearms before pushing herself up again, shaking a bit both from the drink and from the quickly-disintegrating ground. Thankfully, their metabolisms worked pretty fast -- while definitely still buzzed to all heaven, Gemini Beta was quickly sobering, and in a circumstance like this, it was pretty damn necessary. She could see across the way Virgo was already doing what she could to protect the Princess, and despite the screams the captain's command made its way to where she stood. Green eyes flickered a bit in acknowledgement, and Mackie gave a nod to her superior and princess, already grabbing a nearby civi, helping them straighten up.

"Alright, anyone with two feet please use them to come this way. We will not hurt you, despite the alien, and promise to make sure you get back into your beds before you can say Whiskey," she shouted, trying to herd the likely-traumatized civilians closer to keep them calm. Hopefully.

Why whiskey? Why not?

Joshua was getting nowhere until the female gemini got him back to his feet, and he gave her a nod of thanks.

Through at least he didn't get a magical catboy bouncing off him only to get hit by the most annoying girl known to mankind.

Poor Ricky.

He did his best to keep his balance. Should he run ? But to where ? God damn... Really, his best luck was probably to stay with Gemini Beta, drunk as she was.

Maybe she'd share, even through it probably was a bad idea. This was too much, too weird for him, through his fear was only visible if you were paying attention to his face.

Screaming and panicking never helped anyone. He held out his hand to help someone else up, doing his best not to fall down again. "Come on."

Hawke fell onto her back. This was bad because of a few things.
1- Getting back up was a b***h
2- Landing on a foam covered PVC pipe hurt.
3- Her homemade armor poked in places that were really not fun to be poked in when she fell unexpectedly.

"Oh ********." Rolling to get herself up right, Hawke looked at the 'Spirits of the Fade'. Quest had started. Darkspawn? In the Fade? Maybe. Maybe it was magisters. Maybe it was demons. Whatever was in Space Fade, Hawke was feeling very much like the time they hit a High dragon with nothing ready.

She hoped this was a cut scene.

Mary did her best to keep up with Raven and Darwin, as more and more of the costumed people came into view. Along the way, Jett and Molly became attached to the group.

A cat was talking. She'd fallen into a roleplay, surely.

A woman with pixey wings was shouting. Pixey wings...

And then suddenly, the entire road shook and Mary went flying into Darwin. She screeched and collided with him, curling into a ball. She looked down below the road, eyes widening.

"What is that?! That's not something the Dynast Realms have ever encountered!" she exclaimed, not having any way to fight it. So she curled her invisible wings around her and Darwin and latched onto him for dear life.

Maybe I need to stop roleplaying so much... she thought to herself.

Before anyone could gather their bearings too fully or run for cover, the rainbow path was jolted yet again. A low keening whirred out from directly beneath the path. A flash of glowing blue crept closer and closer. At first, the light looked tiny -- was this some sort of space gas? Then those tiny lights grew higher and higher in the sky.

There was a massive black shape blotting out the stars on the left side of the path. It was enormous, of skyscraper like proportions. It wasn't until a wide gaping hole cracked open in the sea of darkness that anyone was able to ascertain what it was that was attacking them.

A massive -- for lack of a better term -- space whale had set its sights on the gathered civilians and senshi... and it wasn't there to play nice.

With a bellowing roar, the Space Whale shot out a supersonic beam of sound at the gathered group, blasting a massive hole in the center of the group.

Quote:
Rolling action!

All civilians and senshi must roll one 6-sided dice.
If you roll 1-2, then you moved fast enough to avoid the blast!
If you roll 3-4, then your head is splitting -- but you managed to dive out of the way!
If you roll 5-6, you are effectively deaf for the next two rounds and -- OH NO -- you are barely hanging on to the ledge of the giant hole in the rainbow path!
