If Cade was playing, maybe he should give it a go? With all the cannon blasting going on, the ringing in his ear was starting to make him go deaf. Oh well, he was sure it would stop at some point...he hoped.
Reaching over, he picked up one of the guns, examining it. During the Fitness vs Nap battle, he had failed to shoot almost anything, but maybe now would be different. He just hoped he didn't embarrass himself in front of Cade.

Her eyes glittered with joy! "Thank you so much Riley!" Bea held the prize up in the air as the cannon went off. She was delighted. She turned back and gave the paintball gun she used a kiss. She turns back to Riley and gives her a warm smile. "I hope to see you around! I'd love to hear more about your ideas if you get elected!"
Bea waved to her and walked off to check out the other booths.

Okay, yeah. Here it was. He was playing a game in Riley's booth. She caught him. Everyone saw it. It didn't matter. Why? Because today, Calder didn't CARE about anything else. Right now, he was trying to impress Cade. Riley was such a small blip on the radar of importance that he barely noticed her aside from the person controlling the cannon. Cade was playing her game, and he was playing her game only because it meant that by this equation, Cade and Calder were playing another game tttooogggeeettthhheeerrrr.
He aimed, narrowing his eyes and fired.

Christof hadn't been gone long before he was lurching back, quietly approaching the commotion of his Cannon with a distant, calculating expression, his hands in his coat pockets.
And then he registered what he was seeing.
Mistress was...
Straddling
his Device.
And firing it off repetitively.
And...
He gave a whine, trying to shake the thought from his head before it drifted dangerously close to her. And besides, that... that Patchwork Ghoul was still there.
Eyes on his boots, he shuffled his way towards her, flinching with the sound of each explosion. He really could do with a break if the Patchwork Ghoul was hanging about for very long... He tucked some loose hair behind his ear, mind reaching out with a tentative, Er... Mistress? I am sorry to bother you, but ah... umm.... Master Barth er... Barth has commanded I ah.... Take... take a break. He gave me seeds to play some games for him for a little bit. I hope it's not an inconvenience just I um... wouldn't... sit on it like that. I made it from junk I found it might not be very sturdy...

Calder glanced over when he saw Christof come back. Where had the boil run off to? He had just been trying to hit it off with the patchwork ghoul. Didn't he knew that you had to pocessively be around the one you liked for the first few hours of meeting to made a good impression and not be easily forgotten? Like Calder was. He was going to stick with Cade ALLLLLLL day and do whatever he wanted or needed or felt like they might do whenever he might feel like doing it. They'd spend their time playing games, and he'd give him a whole collection of minipets that he could remember Calder by when he woke up the next day. That way he'd think of him and their time together. He was going to cement their bond by being nothing but supportive, pleasant, and there for Cade.
Speaking off, this blasted gun wasn't working right! Why couldn't he hit the cat??!!!

As she watched the cannon cat sail by without being shot, Riley tilted her head slightly. Had it just.. twitched? Furthermore, why hadn't any of the hits that others had gotten while she was running the cannon.. exploded?
She really was so bad at this, and she had no idea why. The sound of Christof's voice in her mind was a blessed one, and she immediately flipped off the cannon to walk to him, ready to hand over the reigns-
But she was stopped short by his words.
Her hands had almost been raised slightly, as if she was going to hug him, but they dropped immediately as soon as she registered exactly what he was saying.
Barth. A careful and crisp voice muttered into his mind. Barth commanded that you take a break from my booth.
Barth commanded you. Concerning MY booth.
There was a sharp crackling sound in the air. It was unclear where it had come from, but it was certainly not mental in nature.
Riley's now thinly slit eyes rose, searched, and found Barth's booth. There he sat, lounging away lazily, letting others do his work. She had been dead set on keeping her campaign free of anything that might deter their tenuous friendship.
She could feel the desire to care about that friendship melt down into the dirt at her feet as she glared at him.
Her hand lifted to rest on Christof's shoulder, though her eyes were still focused quite sternly on the far off image of the sloth demon.
You deserve a break, Christof. Go enjoy yourself. Return to me when you are ready.
Her eyes flickered sharply to the igor, her glare hard as rocks.
Return to me. She commanded. First.
It was on.

Christof's face lit up as the arms extended, but quickly fell as her hands did. Was... was he in trouble? I... If... if you commanded otherwise I am sure it might overpower the command but- he began to babble almost immediately, but gave a sudden sigh as the hand landed on his hunch.... directly on top of where the tiny, useless wing was carefully folded under his coat. So sensitive- too sensitive- oh god that touch that touch that touch-
"Hrnnnn....?" He managed, voice wobbling a bit as his eyes rolled at the touch. The tiny appendage wriggled as though instantly trying to flap under her palm, and he was forced to shy away in hopes she hadn't noticed. Twisting his hands, he regained his composure, Are... are you sure, Mistress? I... i will just try a couple of the games and then I will return to you immediately. He repeated obediently.
His eyes drifted for a moment to Petra, brows furrowing with remorse, I don't think the Patchwork Ghoul likes me, Mistress. I did what Calder taught me but... In her mind it was like a conspiratorial whisper, flecked with heartbreak.

Riley could not care less about whether or not Christof's love life was in jeopardy at the moment. She had bigger fish to fry. And so, her voice ended up sounding clipped and angry - easily misinterpreted as anger for him being shunned.
Well then she is a fool, and not worth a single thought in your mind. Riley growled privately, turning back to the cannon and sitting on it. She didn't seem to be listening to his advice, either. You deserve better, anyway. Now go.
There was a hardened edge to her gaze, and her voice, that hadn't been seen in quite some time. She felt cold to the touch, even as she sat against the warm, newly fired cannon.

Calder looked over as Chrsitof returned, and after standing around with Riley, to which she petted his hunch, he ran off again. Private convo. The massive downside of Riley's communication was that it wasn't hard to eavesdrop on, and with all the cannon booms and paintball fire still ringing in his ears, he couldn't make out a Jack thing they were saying. Oh well. It seemed Christof wasn't going to take that patchwork ghoul for a nice trip around the festival ore even challenge that little gnome. Calder was sure Christof could take the gnome and then could spend all day with the ghoul. Then they could double date later, Chrsitof and that girl and Calder with Cccaaadddeee. Too bad that didn't seem to be the case, and Calder turned back to return his attention on hitting that cat and impressing his own darling.
His ears went back and a murderous glare passed by his features as he watched the cat sail by, unharmed.

This wasn't funny, and it was getting embarassing by the minute. Why couldn't he be as good at this aiming game than he was at the stealing fish game? He knew why. This one involved aiming, something he SUCKED at ever since he spent forever with that harpoon gun on the boat to the island, and the other game with he fish involved running and grabbing fish. The last one spoke more to his skills, while aiming a contraption like this wasn't in his skill set.
Frowning, he rolled his shoulders once more. He'd try again.

Calder had a touch of a mule in him, and was stubborn enough NOT to give up. Try and try and try, try, try, try, try, try , try AND try again, he would attempt to accomplish what he set out to do even if it had been minor to begin with. It was the principle of the matter, and once he started something he first thought was worth doing, he didn't stop. True, he would mope, swear, kick, and complain if the process dragged out to long, but he'd keep going at it. For now, he was rather civil, but that was only because he would steal side glances of Cade between shots and let his frustration ebb away and return to being determined and mildly giddy.
He aimed once more, hoping that with each miss, it wasn't taking off of any Like points that Cade might have for him.

Calder missed AGAIN and it was really started to irk him. His eyes narrowed, and he held his gun at arms' length to inspect it, turning it about every which way to make sure there was nothing faulty with it. It was the gun, right? It just had to be!
He checked everything, not really an expert on paintball guns to even know what he was looking at, and readied himself again. Aiming - not Calder's strong point. It went alongside things like fighting and climbing ladders.
