"Heh, glad you accept my humble nickname," he replied back to Ariane and quietly packed away his affects for now, though he kept a hold of his bat still. He trusted his swing more than he trusted his aim when it came right down to it. He didn't care if he got hurt while in melee it seemed a better option to him.

He fell silent for a moment, "I guess if you want my bullets you could have those but then again we were told not to just depend on one weapon," Jude said thoughtfully and shrugged, "then again waste not want not..."

So many times he had heard that phrase and it wasn't until now he kind of actually understood it - for the most part.

((ooc: Can the bandages eventually restore eyesight?))

With the adrenaline dying down, Before opted to simply stand around and try to adjust himself to his new-found lack of sight. There were voices he recognized, mostly that of the Betas and Davey's. The other voices he assumed belonged to the other group that had more than likely bonded during the whole kill-each-other portion of their training. There came suggestions and questions and all Before could do was offer a weak "Thanks, Bix," before he raised his gun into the air. "I still have a gun. Shot a few shots with it but uh, um, no clue how many bullets are still in it."

His bat was acid-damaged, which Before should have been able to tell given how it was lighter than when he first hefted it. But given that he'd always been swinging blind, he might as well just stick to the bat than the gun. "A-and like After, I think I got some bandages left," he rifled through his pockets but realized he didn't take any of them from his pack. "Oh uh, um, never mind. I think I left them outside in my pack." XCCCCC

"I still have my bat," As if to illustrate it, she tugged on the strap of her bag with a grin, exposing its contents a little; her bat was a little damaged from her whacking the thing that had tried to kidnap Gale. Like Before's, it had suffered from the acid. However, it still looked good enough to beat the crap out of more enemies, especially since it's wielder looked confident about it, "But, like Judy here says, I wouldn't want to rely only on it... Besides, I wouldn't trust me to bat properly with the condition of my arm~"

She frowned slightly before grinning again, looking at Jude, "Ohh? You'll give me some of your bullets? That'll be really nice."

Then, looking at Before, she walked over, resting a hand on his shoulder, "Bring out your gun and hand it over... I will not have you blind shooting."

"I dunno.." Bix laughed a little finally. "Before is pretty good at blind shooting if I remember correctly. And trip-and-fall shooting.." Of course shooting team mates by accident also was something that had happened once. He didn't mention that one.

His laugh was a little uneasy but only because of the situation. He wasn't as prone to confidence as Ariane was. He was also worried. Worried about before's eyes.

His breathing was tense as the bangs on the building stopped. Marcus remained that way for a few good, minutes, one armed wrapped oddly protectively around Cass as the building moaned while what he assumed was the zombies still attacking. "I doubt that is the end of this." Then they just..stopped all together. His heart was pumping, but nerves were setting back in, a small reprieve? In horror it was only to build suspense. Marcus didn't want to think life would imitate art, much less the b-film type art.

He tapped Cass's shoulder. "Look, I don't believe in bullshit. So, remember that promise?" He smirked.

Ennéa was half-asleep when Madison knelt beside her to bandage her wounds. Her teammate was well-intentioned but clumsy and Ennéa flinched awake as Madison wrapped a particularly sore spot a little too tightly. "Ow!" Ennéa said petulantly. She was still sleepy and she scrunched up her face and nestled her head further into Jordan's shoulder.

But it was no use, she was awake and was becoming more aware of the sounds of everyone talking and moving around her. Oddly, they were a lot clearer and coherent then they had been before. Ennéa kept her eyes closed for a couple more moments out of sheer obstinacy before resigning herself to wakefulness.

She sighed and turned to look at Madison who had nearly finished bandaging her arm. "Thanks Maa--" she started to say but was interrupted by a yawn, so instead she gave her squad mate a grateful smile.

Her smile grew a little shy when another hunter, the one-armed guy, came up and gruffly started bandaging the rest of her injuries with Madison's assistance. Despite his apparent awkwardness though, Ennéa noticed that his touch was kind and much more gentle than Madison's well meaning fumblings. She flushed slightly, oddly pleased that the other hunters, not just her phoenix squad mates, cared for her too. Ennéa felt a little bad that she couldn't quite remember his name. But then reuniting with her fellow phoenix members had been terribly distracting and names had never been her strong point anyway. It was D-something. David? Dave?

Ennéa flexed her leg as they finished the last of the bandaging. The fresh bandages feel wonderfully cool against her various burns. She still felt stiff and nearly battered to bits but the red haze of pain had receded to a much more manageable level. She smiled warmly at the one-armed hunter. "Thank you, that feels much better."

"I feel quite a bit better, in fact." she said in response to Madison's question. She grinned at Davy and Madison, "Thanks for taking such good care of me." She then looked up at Jordan whom she was still leaning against. "You too, boss. Thank you." She gave him an affectionate squeeze.

"Oh and you too!" she called out loudly across the room to the pale haired hunter that she had tried to rescue. She smiled and waved cheerfully at him. "You helped me get free from that other monster, right?" Ennéa chuckled sheepishly. "And here I was trying to help you! Thanks for watching my back." she said.

Feeling much better, Ennéa took stock of her belongings. She still had her bat despite everything that had happened to her. Even when she was wavering in and out of consciousness, she had kept a deathgrip on the wooden handle, almost as if it were a reassuring lifeline in amidst all the chaos and injuries.

She was still wearing her pack too, Ennéa realized. "I still have some bandages!' she called out to the rest of her fellow hunters. She took a step away from Jordan and rummaged through her pack, pulling her roll of bandages out and waving them around. "Anyone can have them if they need it."

She really wanted to go open that door. A lot. Had Marcus not had his hand around her shoulder, she probably would have walked over to crack it open to check for the creature.. THINGS that had chased them in there. Even though she was sure that if they were smart enough to split 'em up, they were smart enough to know that people didn't just vanish when a door shut.

Her brows furrowed together a bit as she tried to listen around the talking of the other people to see if she could tell if there were any..suspicious noises. Wasn't this when the rest of the creatures were supposed to run away because something bigger and more terrifying showed up?

"I hope the ground doesn't start shaking soon.." she grumbled, before looking to Marcus when he tapped on her shoulder. She normally wouldn't have gotten herself so worked up over something like this; in the movies it didn't even phase her.

But she wasn't in a movie.

The suspense was killing her and it reflected clearly in her eyes. However, his smirk caused that to ebb slightly as she did her best to mirror the smirk on the older boy's face.

"It's only been....uhh..less than a day," she mumbled a 'sorry I don't have a watch or I'd be more exact on the time', "so I haven't had any time to forget about it. What about it?"

Marcus didn't beat around the bush with things, he just went right out and said it. "I get to make out with you now if I recall." He was completely serious about it too.

Cass's face immediately flushed at the bluntness of the statement, but she maintained eye contact with him. "I... right now?" She couldn't help but grin from how inappropriate for their current situation it was right then, but that was probably what made it so cathartic.

"Well, if now is the time, will you at least make it good?" she paused, biting her lower lip and mumbled, "I've never been kissed before...." It would require some eavesdropping to hear that last part.

There was a time and place for everything, and this wasn't really the time or place to be having a make out session. Or flirting. Or well, anything short of focusing on survival and not ending up dead. But, Marcus had gotten himself sidetraced and he didn't seem to mind it. Later he might think himself an idiots for letting a pretty face get to him but..he had no idea if they could survive or would. The one guy had said it was a mission after all.

Still. "I always make it worth it." He was grinning in a cocky manner before he kissed her, it was a gentle kiss, and his hand went to her chin, the other to her hip. "Was that alright or do we need to make this PG-13?"

Hey, if she was going to die when whatever was on the other side of the door came busting through, at least she could say she'd at least kissed a boy. On top of killing herself twice.

She was getting quite the list of 'things I've done with my life' and all she'd had to do was go home!

However, the 'make out' wasn't quite a make out, but just a single kiss. Cassandra wasn't complaining, that single kiss able to make her face flush and her head get all light. She swooned a bit when he pulled away, her expression dazed.

She didn't say anything, just grinned like an idiot for a long minute.

"I think I can die happy now."

The look Gale gave Ariane when she ruffled his hair was one of pure exasperation. "Why do I feel as if you didn't listen to a word I just said?" he asked, giving her a disgruntled scowl, folding his arms across his chest as he slumped against the nearest wall of the building. The almost stifled and eerie silence outside was making everything inside seem slightly more amplified. Which meant that his voice seemed oddly loud and slightly off somehow.

Gale's gaze slid sideways to rest on Before. "Dude, man, don't worry about me," he said, waving a hand noncommittally until he remembered that the poor guy couldn't see it. He settled for awkwardly patting the other boy's arm. "You're the one that needs a bit of help here. I'm fine, honest."

Except for the whole leg thing. A call from across the room made Gale look up, resting on Ennéa. He wasn't sure whether or not she was talking to him or Jude, but he offered her a smile and a wave anyway, glad to see that she was doing all right.

"Hey," he said to Bix, lifting a brow in amusement. "I'm not so sure blind shooting is going to get us anywh - ...are they doing what I think they're doing?"

His attention had been caught by the fact that two hunters, neither of whom Gale knew, were standing off to the side. Close together. Very, very close together. Gale blinked.

"Er," he said, and shuffled slightly farther away from the pair, closer to where Bix, Before, Ariane, and Jude were standing. "Er, um...yeah."

Before handed the gun to Ariane none-too-reluctantly along with a mumbled "Yes'm." Be it gun or bat, Before wasn't sure how much help he'd been to the group. So at Bix's teasing, Before afforded a small, sheepish smile, "I think that only work with hairpin triggers." And given his dismal accuracy as of late, Before's theory seemed sound.

The look on her face was worth it. He kind of wanted to slip her a bit of tongue but she might have rejected him or reacted badly. They did just get out of zombie land. "Don't die on me yet." He looked at the door fefore looking back at her. "That was just the teaser." Cassandra...He hoped they would would make it out of this..whatever it was. Not everyday a guy got to meet a girl like her.

But getting out was the next challenge. "Okay, let's see here..." pulling out the textbook manual he flipped through the pages inspecting it. "Now what does this say exactly?"

"HA. Blind shooting," She ran a hand through her hair, grinning at Bix, "I liked it better when he was using dud bullets and not real ones that can make a hole in your skull."

She then took the gun from Before and checked the safety lock before grabbing his chin gently, tilting his head towards her, studying the bandages around his eyes with a frown, "Good boy... Now, I hope the acid didn't actually get inside your eyes. I'm sure our dear superior can do something about it if its just on the eye lids..."

Her gaze shifted to Gale as she released Before, and she couldn't resist a chuckle, "Oh stop pouting..." She followed his gaze, however, to the two hunters who were kissing, and raised an eyebrow at them... Before proceeding to walk over to Gale, one arm over his shoulder as she grinned, covering his eyes with her hand, "You're too young to look, kid~"

She was teasing of course. Probably.
