Rachel was amazed at what Katherine said... He was now the Tactition, temporairly but still. As long as the Tacticion/Quartermaster didn't betray the Dementia as he did the Navy, he might earn a bit of her respect. As long as they survive that is.
Rachel unsheathed her blade and heard Jonathan's order to charge. She walks past Jonathan, as she does she says softly but loud enough to Jonathan to hear, "The moon with be red with blood tonight..." She then walks onto the enemy ship and begins to slash at whoever had a blue uniform on.

Gabriel heard the commotion outside, "Great... they are fighting another Spanish merchantry ship again..." He grabs about 20 throwing knives from the sorted groups of weapons and heads up to the deck, making sure the little monkey stayed behind in the safer armory.
When he saw the Naval colours, he realized he was in well over his head. But there was no turning back for Gabriel, since he came out it was live or die time. He threw a knife at one of the blue uniformed soldiers, aiming at his head though the knife hit him in the belly. "Alright... Aim with these isn't your thing there Gabriel... Just keep throwing, and make sure you don't die!"
(( EDIT: Something tells me that the Gaia Dice don't really like me >_< ))

Watching Jamie climb up higher in preparation for attack, Nicolas could only smirk. Having been so long since their last battle, Nicolas had almost forgot what had attracted him so much to the gypsy in the first place. Her adoration of battle was almost as awful as his own. The man was blood thirsty and the woman was not too different herself. Tightening his grip on his sabre, Nicolas began in her direction, shouting up to her, "I'll try and leave a man or two for you to face!" His tone was smug and the man was obviously not serious by the number of Navy men on the opposing ship, but it was like him to tease and poke at the other.
Awaiting the order of the captain, Nicolas was surprised to hear the voice of the much dispised Jonathon. Jumping onto the other deck as soon as possible, the man began to attack. It was much simpler to attack the Navy as they wore bright blue uniforms and stood out against the pirates Nicolas had spent so many months out on sea with. Laughing wildly as he sliced and stabbed through bodies, the man's gaze remained focused.
The elf continued through the ship, sabre in one hand and short dagger in the other. If a man had managed to get too close, Nicolas was able to stab towards his vital organs with the small blade, though he preferred to kill them with distance between them. The fresh blood stains on his shirt were bothersome and the man wished to save his doubloons for his own ship at a later time.

" That'd be kind of you, Nicolas!" The gypsy spoke loudly, turning to face him momentarily. " Though I think you'll have to keep up with me. " She added with a laugh before snatching a rope and swinging onto the enemy deck, Jonathan's command ringing in her ears. Her high heeled boots then struck the opposing deck and jamie glanced up, seeing the swarm of blue jackets approaching.
Jamie caught sight of Nicolas charging the filthy men, cutting them down to ribbons. The sight caused the woman to shiver. Perhaps that was part of her troubles? It seemed that the sight of power and blood turned her on. Pushing those thoughts intot he back of her mind Jamie lurched forward, ducking the swing of a nearby sword, whilst at the same time slashing the inner thigh of a nearby blue coat, severing one of the major arteries.
A wicked laugh made its way about the deck as Jamie watched the man crumbled from pain and blood loss. Moving on she then continued her close combat battling, dagger blood soaked. She loved the thrill. Yes, the blue coats had their longer swords and so were able to kill from a bit of a distance. The yougn woman, however, enjoyed the body to body contact, feeling their warm blood upon her flesh.
Another naval male hit the deck then, choking on his own blood. Glaring down at the man Jamie then bent ovr and pulled her dagger from his throat.

Jonathan simply stood at parade rest, unmoving while the battle raged on around him, like an unmovable statue... Aa invincible pillar of inspiration to his crewmates. The smirk on his lips and the icy-cold stare of death loomed heavily over the soon-to-be defeated Sloop. His gaze squarely fixated on a sole red-coated figure. At last, dear brother, I will take my revenge for Bethony Bay.

Disgruntled that she had not been the one to give the order, but reluctantly accepting that she had let Graves do it, Katherine leapt into the fray. She'd always found battle cries a bit... silly, but as the familiar bloodlust rose in her veins the captain let out a whoop of enthusiasm.
Her fighting style was inelegant and often dirty, learned through hundreds of skirmishes just like this one and adapted to the rigors of shipboard battle. However it got the job done, and within short order Katherine was spattered head to toe in blood, who exactly the blood belonged to would be difficult to say.

And the battle concludes! The crew of the Dementia scored a total of 48 points. Out of a possible 60 points, that makes 80%. As the Dementia is a Galleon, against 2 poorly equipped Galleons and a mostly defenceless Sloop we will use percentage scale H to calculate damage. In percentage scale H a threshold of 80% must be met to allow victory. Less than 60% means failure and a mandatory injury roll. Anywhere inbetween these figures still constitues victory but half the participating crew must take injury rolls. So today's battle is a flawless victory for the crew of the Dementia! The Quartermaster will be along shortly to announce booty and shares.

For getting exactly 80%, crew shares equal two doubloons.
Ship's boys get one share (two doubloons each), Seamen get one and 1/4 share (two doubloons each) and officers get one and 1/2 share (three doubloons each).
You cannot spend these doubloons until you are next in port.
The Sloop was extremely damaged, and sunk during the battle. However the crew was able to take the Commander of the ships prisoner!
Due to the Supply Sloop being sunk, the Galleons fled in the direction of Divvytown!

Jonathan, now just recovering from the shock of victory and the capture of his usurper brother, stands victorious over the railing of the Dementia, watching the William II slowly sink into the murky depths below. "There goes a piece of my history I'd like to forget," he comments to himself with meloncholy expression.
He turns around toward the Captain and the rest of the recovering crew, "What do you want to do with the priso-" he cuts himself short, perking his head up like he just remembered something. "Oh shi-!" Jonathan didnt bother finishing the exclimation as he turned toward the sinking Sloop and launched himself from from railing onto the enemy deck. In an almost frantic mode, the officer charges into one of the top-deck cabins, just before the door falls below the waves. Within seconds, the entire ship is gone, and with it a brave, foolhardy, ambitious, and noble man.
Other than the gurgling of air bubbles left over from the sinking ship rising to the surface, silence greets the crew of the Dementia.

Normally, Nicolas would have admired the battle Jamie was putting up against the men nearly twice her size, but the blood was in his eyes and the fight was all he could think of. With his face dripping with the mixture of both blood and sweat, the man breathed out and released an awful laughter. It was evident by all that the man revelled in his battles and enjoyed every lasting minute of it.
Hearing another voice coming from nearby, the man turned his head, having been momentarily snapped from his high. Amidst the chaos, he spotted Jamie Gallows, form bloodied and fallen soldiers at her knees. A dashing smirk spread across the elf's face as he enjoyed the site. Taking the opportunity to attack, Nicolas was nearly caught off guard by a young Navy man. Paying no regard to age, Nicolas quickly spun his sabre around and sliced the pale throat quickly. The elf was always sure to not hesitate as an action a moment too late could cause his death.
Much sooner than he would have liked, the battle was over and the crew of the Dementia had returned to their own ship. The bodies were being thrown overboard after checked over and the elf watched as a few bodies managed to float a short distance away before sinking. Releasing a pleased sigh and running a hand through his bloodied hair, the man put away his blade and looked around. His site was still somewhat blurry; coming down from his violent high was never the moment Nicolas enjoyed most.
Squinting tight, he released another breath and then looked out into the ocean. It seemed just as he had looked out, he saw Jonathan jump overboard. With a dirty smirk, the elf spoke quietly, below his breath "Ai. Save me the trouble.."

After another moment of silence, a few shapes rise up from the depths to break the surface... barrels. Mostly empty barrels. Another moment went by and suddenly a familiar shape swam up from the surface and trying desperately to cling on to a floating barrel or driftwood. Jonathan had a silver locket around his neck, and a moderately-sized strongbox under one arm, which prevented him from moving. The officer coughed and hacked, and it was apparent that he is almost near-death, still clinging on to his life and the barrel.

Katherine stood on her own bloodied decks and surveyed the aftermath of the battle with no small amount of smugness. They had taken almost no damage to ship or crew, while the enemy sloop had just sunk beneath the red tinged waves. True, it had been that upstart Graves that had won it for her, but Katherine's pride could safely ignore that.
Even as she thought of the english 'tactician', a mop of sodden brown hair surfaced from the wreckage of the William II, struggling to stay afloat amidst the flotsam. It took a moment for her to recognize the half drowned man as Jonathan Graves, but when she did Katherine could not stop the amused grin that spread across her face.
After all the effort to win the battle without dying, the damned fool had apparently risked his life by jumping onto a sinking ship, to rescue treasure of all things! Katherine smirked at the realization that this was exactly like something she would do, and thought that perhaps they were not so different as they had appeared.
Still grinning, she shouted an order for the drowning tactician to be hauled back on board immediately. It would be a terrible shame to lose such a valuable madman.

Jonathan, still struggling for life (but struggling on to the strongbox even more), used all his strength to wrap one of the ropes a crewman dropped down to him around his arm, clinging to it for dear life as he begin being hoisted up from the depths below. Tumbling over the railing, Jonathan stood up (a feat of strength indeed considering his physique) in front of Captain Kruel, placing his free hand behind his back in parade rest, while the other clutched the box to his side. "Ensign Graves reporting," he coughed out, wavering back and forth, almost ready to tip over. The locket was now in plain view; pure silver and in the shape of a heart. Jonathan's eyes and expression looked glassy and distant, almost like he was either possessed, in shock, or oblivious to the world around him. "Permission to come aboard, Admiral, Sir." Weither it was in jest or if he had a relapse due to the near-death experience was unknown. Coughing up more water, Jonathan's strength finally caved in and he dropped unconcious to his knees, and finally to the deck by Katherine's boots, the box in a deathgrip in his hands.

Katherine's good mood extended to turn what would be annoyance at a crewman's babbling faint into mere amusement. It was almost endearing the way Jonathan fell at her feet like a worshipper at the feet of their god. The half dead look and spewing water everywhere somewhat ruined the effect, but Katherine was still not inclined to make her usual decision of tossing ill pirates overboard.
Poking the deathly still Jonathan with her boot, more for the joy of almost-kicking him than to check whether he was alive, Katherine yelled for her surgeon. When none appeared, she rolled her eyes and cursed her lazy crew under her breath.
"Very well. Someone get this fool out of his wet clothes and into a warm berth." Silence greeted this announcement, crew shuffling their feet and trying not to look as if their bed was available. Sighing, the captain hardened her voice and made it an unwavering command. "I don't care whose bed it is, just keep the damn man alive! It's the least you can do after he saved all of your worthless hides from the navy."
Grumbling followed this order too, but finally someone reluctantly stood forward and began to drag the unconcious Graves away. Satisfied, Katherine went to see about the loot gathered from the battle.
