Clerise blinked owlishly at the skinny man who was, at least, rather friendly. His terminology was confusing, but that was to be expected. Hell, she barely understood pop culture these days, since she'd basically spent eight years living under a rock. Or a tent. Same difference, right? "Thanks," she said, sincere, eying the group being led away. (A la pied piper much?) "Name's Clerise. Clerise Wilson. Thanks for the directions." Her accent was hard to place, sort of East coast with a taste of boring Midwest-- loud and brash and clearly used to shouting. She ran to catch up to the group, swaying only a tiny bit, and listened attentively. ((exiting))

O-Okay.
Basically, what all the seniors in those white coats were saying was: Wait. Details Later. Wait.
Al-Alright he's cool with that.
It was somewhat comforting though, to hear what Deryk had said about them being volunteers and “[coming] into this life willingly”. Dillon never recalled offering himself up for any human experimentation projects or something of that sorts. Great Relief?
The young man wrinkled his nose in slight annoyance at Gale's comment about them being lost lambs. Really. He didn't want to hear that coming from a kid. Who apparently, would be higher ranked than him in whatever strange establishment this was.
And then there's this Jerry who was making a hell lot of noise that sounded somewhat like music, but then again not really. Weapons and soldiers? OKAY, NEVERMIND. Let's just wait for whoever's in charge to explain. Thankfully that came soon enough, and Dillon was happy to shuffle out of the room after the Death hunter.

Candace burst out in laughter as Ofelia came and hugged Gale like he was a stuffed toy, her arms wrapping around her middle. "Ohmanthisisgonnabeafungroup!" She laughed, grinning. "Yes, Gale is a little cutie." She said in a voice very much like one would use talking to a puppy as she reached out and playfully pinched his cheek.
At the unfamiliar man's entrance Candace looked fairly confused. Who...? Where was Caelius?
Candace followed him with the rest of the group, perplexed.

Syd followed, hoping slightly that she would get a more acceptable explanation from the new man. Or at least to get away from the creepy alien movie set.

Gale thought he'd been doing a rather good job of being a senior hunter, taking down the information and figuring things out in regards to the new trainees.
At least until one of them picked up him.
The clipboard in his hand clattered noisily to the ground as Gale flailed, somewhat helplessly, in Ofelia's arms. There was a sound somewhat like a strangled cat, and Jinhai's laughter rang loud and clear in Gale's head.
<< Oh, this will be a fun time now. I think I like these new trainees. >>
His face a brilliant shade of red, Gale struggled to free himself - though it wasn't made much better by the fact that Candace had since come up, pinching his cheek in a not-so-delightful way.
"Off off offfffff," Gale mumbled, and gave a slight gasp for air when his request was abruptly fulfilled, Ofelia finally letting go. He straightened his coat, looking highly affronted at the completely outrageous show of breaking into his personal space, but he didn't get a chance to say anything else, since at that moment someone stepped into the room.
It was not Caelius. Gale's brow furrowed slightly, his head tilting as he slanted a gaze at the hunter in question. Death Division, by the emblem on his coat, but it was not anyone he had ever seen before.
Which left Gale curious as to the whereabouts of their fearless leader.
"I'll...stay here, then, I guess," he said, casting a slightly disappointed look around the room as the rest of the trainees and senior hunters began filing out after the Death Division hunter. He wanted to go with them, but there were still three new hunters that had yet to awaken.
Gale turned towards the pods in question.
"All right, let's get a move on now. Wake up already."

And yet another one appeared! Not quite like the guy who played the guitar, but still! Maybe this one would give them more information?
...or not. Fini rubbed at her head again, watching the man that had come in briskly and told them to 'follow him'. Well, standing around here wasn't getting them anywhere. She followed after some of the others, much more quietly then a few, with the hope someone would start answering questions soon. Very soon. And that her head would stop pounding.

Oh sure, just don't wait for him to restock and replenish his inventory, seriously. This new guild was kind of awful, and the GM was kind of a douche.
Justin took one last look around the strange room of dark darkness and shining things - maybe they were in the mage district? - and then slowly trailed after the others.

Ami Raine watched steadily as a few people trickled out, and then many. She still didn't quite trust this institution, but at at the same time her interest was severely piqued. It all seemed very familiar and yet extremely foreign at the same time. Oh well, might as well follow the group.
She took one more look around at her surroundings, taking in all of the machinery and glowing objects, and then headed towards the group.

A young muffled voiced called out, then came a strong hissing sound. Air blew right onto her skin, making her shiver with cold. Groggy and sore, Hazel woke up all scuffed up and opened her eyes to a blinding light. She immediately shut her eyes and pulled a large amount of her big carrot colored hair down to her face to shield her eyes. Hazel squinted to adjust to the light, and a silhouette that stood in front of her had became clear. She stayed in the pod quietly, observing the room through her hair, Hazel slowly exhaled as she tried to take everything in. Her memories were scattered, couldn't quite recall a damn bloody thing. It was like she woke up to an alien space ship full of strange technology. Hazel watched a good handful people exit the room and turned back to the blonde person who she had initially heard from before. She took a moment to look at the person, observing them. "...You're a short bugger, aren't you?" she said brushing her hair slightly to the side, revealing innocent doe eyes.

There was a high pitched hissing noise as another of the pods beeped loudly. Gale's eyes flickered towards it and with a slightly curious look on his face, he stood beside it, making small, illegible notes on his clipboard every few seconds.
A click and the lid to the pod swung open to reveal a young woman with a mass of bright orange, curly hair that fanned crazily about her face like a thick cloud. She seemed a few years older than he was, but, surprisingly, around the same height.
Which was why, when she called him short, Gale just gave her a dubious sort of expression. Her voice held a lilting sort of light accent, which made him slightly curious - another Brit, perhaps? It was subtle, and she had not said much, so he could not quite be sure.
"A pleasure, I'm sure," he said dryly, making a notation on the paper. "Welcome to Deus Ex Machina. My name is Gale Gentry. Please let me know your name, and then report to Classroom 2c. It's just out that door - " He pointed with his pen. " - and down the hall to your left. The number will be on the left side, and any questions you have will be answered there."

Watching curiously at the blondie scribbling something, Hazel tilted her head to glance at the paper he was holding. Nothing could be seen at the angle she was looking at him. With a blank expression on her face she muttered, "Hazel Jaeger" her eyes darted to the pen Gale was holding and not looking in the direction he was pointing it to. Her eyes flicked back to Gale's. She hopped down from the pod like a child jumping off of a jungle gym, hair flying in her face as she landed right in front of the blondie. "A pleasure," she mimicked before taking a full leg swing towards the door. "I'll be seeing you lata?" as she walked out the door. It was more of a rhetorical question if anything. [[EXIT]]

Bright lights, clammy air, loud noise - it all added up to one rather annoyed young woman. It took Rin a while and once she got over the bright lights enough to actually open her eyes, she was glaring. Not impressed, not impressed at all. Who the hell ruined such a lovely nap?
Little did she know yet but what she was coming out of was far from a "nap" let alone "lovely". She clasped her hands together high above her head and gave a mighty stretch with a soft throaty groaning sound, possibly one of pain. She then slumped a bit with a dazed yawn as she blearily looked over for someone to blame for this injustice. Poor Gale.
"Was five more minutes too much to ask?" She muttered groggily at the blob with the clipboard.

He wrote down something that looked like Hawfo Joyom before nodding to her, barely resisting the urge to roll his eyes before turning back to the pod to his left. It was hissing, just as Hazel's had, and then, with a loud click, the door swung open. Gale pivoted where he stood, tilting his head at the newest trainee.
"Good morning," he said, completely disregarding her sullen sounding voice and making a mark on his clipboard. "My name is Gale Gentry. Welcome to Deus Ex Machina. Once you've given me your name, you may proceed to Classroom 2c. It's just out that door, down the hall, and three doors to your left. Any questions you might have will be answered there."
He gave her a small nod, completely within his element as a Death Hunter, and waited for her name.

"I guess so." She sighed softly at Gale's remark.
She was still rather clueless where the hell she was exactly or what was going on for certain. Deus Ex Machina? What the hell was that? It did ring a few bells, but none loud enough to get through to her quite yet. At least, she was fairly sure more answers were soon to come. Hopefully in this next room.
Rin stumbled awkwardly out of her pod and smoothed out her vest before turning on her heel to properly face him.
"Rin Alder. Hopefully I can say it's a pleasure to have met you Gale. I... really don't know for sure yet." She offered him her hand to shake despite her uncertainty.
Whether or not he took her offer she had flashed him a fleeting little smirk before she was off in the direction he had indicated.

The first thing Jason became aware of, was a strange, hissing sound. It was a odd sound, he couldn't place it's origins. But before he could try to figure it out, he was bathed in a bright light that hurt his eyes. Cold air brushed against his skin, a welcome feeling. Slowly, he opened his eyes and took in his surroundings. Pods. They were strange looking devices, with symbols on the front of each of them. What the hell was going on? His mind was a haze of people in suits, zombies shaming towards him, and a door that would spell his end if he entered it. It frightened him. Frightened him so much that he began to quake within his pod. Was it a dream? a nightmare? He was so confused... Slowly, he pulled himself forwards and out of the pod. gripping the edge so he wouldn't make a fool of himself and fall flat on his face. Jason still stumbled though, his legs not used to supporting his weight. They hadn't been used in a long time. As he stood up again, he realized there was another person in the room, wearing a very strange outfit indeed. "H-hello?" His voice croaked. Who was this guy? Could he help him?
