 *Rusty* Rusty watched Terrance leave. He started rubbing the sides of his face with his paws, rearing up on his back legs. He snorted and shook his head, sending saliva and blood in all directions. His face stretched to show his fangs and he threw his head back. The action caused him to fall backwards, landing on his side. The wolf stayed for a moment, then got up and followed Terrance. Rusty caught up to him and walked at his side.

Terrance Thight  Terrance started to pet the top of the wolfs head until they reached Tsuki. He picked up one girl and the transmitter, "Let's go," he said and began to walk to the shelter. When he arrived there he went in side took off his ninja cloak and layed it on the ground and set one of the girls on it. 'Huh now two days, and I still have to ask her,' he chuckled, "Tsuki set the other girl there and sit I need to ask you something," he said.

  'Ok. But first, what happened?' Tsuki laid the girl on his cloak and sat next to Rusty, picking out the clumps of blood. She stroked his head, looking at Terrance. 'I heard you laughing, and then Rusty growling, and then you came back.' She glanced out at the zombie bodies. She stared at Terrance, still petting Rusty and pulling out pieces of bloody fur.

Terrance Thright "Well nothing except me and Rusty killing all those zombies," he said, "But one did get a hold of him and started to squeeze his ribs, I saved him." He looked out side then fell backwards staring at the ceiling. "Tsuki," he said, "I made a promise to myself when I attacked those zombies that if I survive I would ask you out. So....." he stopped still staring at the ceiling. Then he took a deep breath sat up fast and said, "Tsuki will you go out with me," his eyes closed so he didn't have to look at her in-case she started to laugh. 'Huh watch,' he said to himself, 'It's going to be a no,' he chuckled to himself and fell backwards. 'I'm so stupid,' he thought.

  Tsuki wasn't sure what to think. Her thoughts were split, Why would he be thinking about that now..? Did he notice Rusty's fit..? Do I really want to get myself caught in a relationship..? She looked at him and felt her cheeks heat up. She didn't know what to say. She thought he was cute, and that he would be useful in a fight, but emotions often get in the way. A flash memory of her sensei broke her train of thought. 'Can I think about it?' She looked at Rusty, then without waiting for an answer, 'Did he act weird at all? Like.. rabid or crazy..?' Rusty let out a deep breath next to her, closing his eyes. She stared at the wolf.

Terrance Thright "Ya he did after the zombie pushed on his ribs why," he said to Tsuki still thinking about how stupid he is. Then, he aimed a pistol at the door and shoot a zombie that had got lucky and survived. "Couldn't let it get you now could I," he chuckled to himself and closed his eye's. 'Huh I no matter what I'm still stupid,' he thought.

Tsuki let out a small laugh, shaking her head. 'No, I mean like trying to attack you or something.' She looked back at the doorway. She got up, walked over, and kicked the zombie outside. She closed the door, looking at it for a moment. Tsuki turned and stared at Terrance again. She wasn't sure at all what to think about him. He was different. She glanced between him and Rusty, wondering what they were supposed to do. She had forgotten what Lurker ordered. She resigned to waiting for Terrance's answer.

Terrance Thright He looked out one eye at Tsuki and saw a lot of confusion. He chuckled to himself, "He looked at me like he wanted to, but didn't and the Lurker said stay here for two days then come find him." He opened his other eye, got up and walked to the door sat in-front of it, and said, "Now nothing can get you so rest." He closed his eye's again and chuckled to himself still thinking that she is going to say no. He didn't go to sleep he listened to everything and then asked Tsuki, "why did Rusty do that?" He opened his eyes again and looked at her.

Tsuki slid, her back against the door, until she was sitting next to Terrance. 'Ok. This is where it gets complicated. It was a momentary infection. I know, it sounds weird, but that's the only way I can think to describe it.' Tsuki sighed, looking and Rusty and deciding to just explain as best as she could. 'I was raised by his mother, with his litter. I consider him my brother. After my sensei found me and took me in, I brought my canine family with me. Life was good. There were five pups, Rusty, his brother, and three sisters. She paused.
'When the infections started, my sensei became one of them. All of us had to stop him. Once they had bitten him, the infections spread to the puppies. Four of them died and came back. Rusty just froze, and looked like he would transform on the spot. I had to kill my siblings, my family. Then I turned to Rusty and he started to paw at himself. He stopped and ran to me, like his normal self. I wanted to know what happened, so I took him and one of our sisters to a scientist. He did some tests and found out the Rusty has a gene that the others didn't. It's rare and it creates an enzyme that attacks and destroys the zombie virus. The scientist, he tried to inject some of Rusty's blood into a test subject to see if it worked on humans. Instead, it mutated the zombie, which killed him. Rusty and I escaped and it happens every time he injests blood from them. Tsuki looked at the floor, trying to bury her memories. Rusty groaned in his sleep and rolled to his side. Tsuki leaned her head back on the door and waited.

Terrance Thright Terrance put his hand on her shoulder and stood up. He stretched then reached down and picked Tsuki up. He carried her over to the other two girls and layed her down. "I'll take first watch," he said. He grabbed a chair that was inside the building and walked outside. He set the chair down off beside the door and leaned back as he stuck his katana's in the dirt on both sides of the chair, and starred at the sky. 'This is going to be a long night,' he thought. Then, his thoughts changed over to Tsuki and he smiled, but still keeping his mind on the environment around him. "Dang it I never got my answer," he laughed to himself. "Well theres always a chance I guess, but at the same time there is a chance of a no," he laughed a bit louder. Then, he pulled out a pistol and shot a zombie that was coming up to hill in the fore head. Then, he looked at the moon, it was red as red as the blood that scattered the ground from the zombies he killed earlier. "This is going to be a long night," he said as he shot another zombie. Then, he sighed, "anything to keep people safe I guess," he smiled.

Tsuki sat up and watched him walk out. She sighed. Idiot.. She stood, looking around. She found a pile of old newspapers, some cans of what smelled like oil, and a few spare car parts. She glanced at the two small windows in the front of the building when the gun went off. Looking between the newspaper and the windows, she spun around. Tsuki began going through the few piles of junk. She found duct tape. Grabbing the newspaper, she looked out of the window. Then Tsuki covered the glass, taping the paper into place and opening the door. 'It would be easier if you stayed inside. Your smell wouldn't attract them, and with the windows blocked, they can't see in. Plus there's a back room that we could move the girls to, in case smart ones come along and decide to investigate.'

Terrance Thright Terrance started laughing and looked at her, "You do that and I will chill here for awhile longer," he said and looked at the sky and smiled, "You could join me or go sleep you choose." Then he looked at her and smiled, "Oh ya speaking of choices do you have my answer," he laughed, "I'm messing with ya I know it's most likly going to be no."

'Get in here. What good would it do me if you got killed? If you come inside, you'll have a warning. We can bar the door with the chair, and if anything does try to come in, that will give us a few seconds to either get ready to fight, or grab the girls and go. But this is a safehouse, and it usually only works when you're inside.' Tsuki stared at him. She was hoping he would come back. She didn't know why, but she was worried about him.

Terrance Thright Terrance chuckled got up, grabbed his katana's and put them away, and then picked up the chair. "Okay I will stop worrying," he told her as he walked past, "Oh ya you know your blushing right?" He walked inside grabbed the girls put them in the other room then walked back into the first room and shut the door. He sat down on the floor in-front of the door that went to the girls room and said to Tsuki, "You like me don't you?" Terrance smiled trying not to blush himself.

 Tsuki felt herself blush more when he pointed it out. She turned and placed the chair under the door handle, disabling it to keep anything from entering. She hesitated before she turned around, composing herself enough to look at him. Tsuki could see the red start to creep into his cheeks. She looked down. 'I do. Kind of. But it doesn't change the fact that we are in the middle of an apocalypse, we're almost total strangers, and a relationship in this kind of world can bring death to more than just us. So yes, I do like you, for all that it's worth.' She couldn't look at him. She wasn't sure how he would take that reaction. She felt mean, as though saying that was like rejecting him.
