Derick sighed and went over to Laura. "Listen, I know you aren't used to having people around you. You were probably called names and picked on in school. So you wanted to avoid everyone. But this isn't school. We won't hurt you."

Nana smiles, "Yea Laura.. even if you don't know me I wouldn't hurt you... that is just mean... well it might take time for you to trust me since you don't even know me... but just know I would like to be friends! and that isn't because we are the only ones here.. so don't think I'm just using you kay?" she let out a soft giggle.

She then just sighs as she was already being..sort of ganged on..just because she just wanted to shut up..and not wanted to shake some girl's hand. She just shrugs and nods as somewhat of a answer and then goes downstairs as she finally finds the truck as she then kind of got up as she then went to the back row sitting next to the window..hoping that maybe she just will be alone.

Derick sighed again and leaned against the wall. "Seems like no matter what I try, she doesn't like any of us..." He looked at the ground.

Nana frowned, "It will take time Derick... all we can do is wait, she will open up in time." She placed her on his cheeks making him look at her, "Don't beat yourself up about it kay?" she smiled at him, hoping she made him feel better.

"Yeah." He smiled at her. "Thanks." He walked with her and went downstairs, looking around his house. He went in a closet and pulled out some coats. "4 coats. Each big enough for all of us."

Nana pulled out some backpacks, "These would be good if we have to travel by foot.. Derick did your family ever go camping?" she looked at him. "We could use tents to sleep in if we aren't close to home..." she went back to looking around.

"Yeah, give me a second." He put the coats back on the couch and pulled out two tents from the closet. "We also have sleeping bags upstai-" Before he could finish he tripped and they both fell onto the couch.

Nana blushed, "A-are you okay Derick?... you aren't hurt right..." She felt her heart start racing, she couldnt think right she felt nervous. I think I really like Derick... I wouldn't react like this if I just thought he was a friend... she thought to herself. "Derick.. I-I-I... think...." she couldn't finished feeling so nervous, she forgot how to speak.

Derick got up, blushing a bit, then helped her up. "Uhm...lets just pretend that never happened..." He laughed a bit. "Anyway, you said you thought...."

Nana laughed nervously, "N-nothing! l-lets go g-get those s-sleeping bags!" she couldn't find the words to tell her. She was so nervous she didnt know what to do.

"They take long do they?" She mumbled to herself as she then kind of wondered what was taking them so long..she was going to go up there and check but obviously it will be a bad idea..she just sat inside the car..no A/c in..it was hot in there but she didn't care.. it wasn't too hot where she had to open the door..she will just wait..maybe she was being a bit selfish..and maybe she should apologize.. she wasn't sure when though.

Nana didn't notice that she was holding her breath the whole time, until she let it out. "Why do I feel nervous around him all of a sudden.." she whispered to herself. She felt herself calm down when Derick went upstairs to get the sleeping bags.

Derick sighed and looked at one of them. "I just felt like I should've kissed her right then..." He muttered it so Nana wouldn't here. He grabbed a few sleeping bags and tossed them all down the stairs.
