"Nor do I. I've just about had enough with this hellhole of a 'wonderland'"
Feeling her gripping onto his neck, Jericho launched himself into the air once more, going as high as he needed to in order to get a good view of the surrounding land. It seemed they had made a good deal of progress, judging the distance the forest was from them now. However, they still had a fair amount of land to cover.
Somewhat north of them, he could see what was supposed to be the Candy Cane Lane. Idly the dragon wondered if anyone had dared to try and trek it or how successful they were if anyone had.

Malodore took its time examining the 'carcass', and in the end came back with one spring and a bit of cloth, tucked carefully in with the bark from the drunken tree. It would do for experiments, while hopefully being small enough to not attract undue attention. It hurried to catch up with the others, who had moved ahead from the battle site in the interim.

[Part of the Ickis group.]
Deacon had made his way over the bridge to the island, peering about once he'd crossed for sign of his classmates. Oddly enough, he did think he saw someone dart past a time or two, though he could never seem to get a good look at them. The strange noises only managed to make him angrier. If those idiots knew he was here, and they were hiding from him on purpose... There would be blood.

All that running had taken a bit of a toll on the gryphon. She was never one for sports even if she was fast and had the strength to do them. Gaming had always been Tahkis love along with reading but mostly gaming. Now she stood tired but it had been worth it. There was no way Tahki could let some one with such an injury hobble along.
The gryphoness didn't mind the ear tugging as her ears had years of abuse from headphones. She was just happy to be with everyone and just... just... Oh god she was tired now. Slowly the gryphoness felt her body lower to the ground. Thank goodness her body was made for cold weather. If she had been able to talk she would have reassured everyone that she was just fine.

Julian glanced back at Tahki when he heard her move and watched her sink down into the snow. He was concerned for a moment that she might get cold doing that, but it dawned on him rather quickly, what her thick white fur was meant for. He thought he remembered her saying something about being an arctic gryphoness or something like that. She was probably the best suited out of all of them for this weather.
But she looked tired and certainly wasn't standing anymore.
The owl-like demon moved closer and knelt at her side.
"T-Tahki? Are you ok-kay?" he asked, head tilting just a bit to one side. He reached slowly out, uncertainty causing his hand to shiver a bit. Or was it the cold? 'Cause that was certainly an option. He'd lost feeling in his ears on the way across the water and when he wasn't running or flying, his wings were fluffed and wrapped around his shoulders, a make-shift cloak.
His hand hadn't even gotten close to her shoulder before he shifted back into his natural shape.

Tahki did a half nod to assure Julian that she was in fact alright. Just a few moments off her paws and claws was all she needed. Just for a little bit at least. The fact that Julian was worried about her was no secret to the gryphoness. Tahki knew he was concerned because he had said something about the ear tugging. Lacking language was a pain she couldn't verbally assure him.
Then Julian shifted into his natural owl form. Tahki stretched out a wing offering him non verbally to come closer for warmth if he so wished.

Israfel groaned as Tybalt screamed. "ah-ah...so loud. why always with the yelling and the screaming and oh-" Something kitten shape was close to him. Very close. "Hello Night." Israfel wasn't quite sure how to greet another student when they were such different forms. "I'm Israfel." Reaching over he gave the student a sratch behind the ears. That was okay wasn't it? "And..." Looking at Tybalt, the siren couldn't help but feel sad for him. The water no doubt was close to freezing. "And...we should probably move away from the water. Oh...Jericho is also very big Tybalt, maybe you can share body heat with him tonight!" The siren chirped excitedly.
Looking behind them Israfel swore he saw something Orange..but, it was no doubt his imagination. The orange kitten was else where no doubt.

Riley was instantly relieved to see how much closer they were to their goal as Jericho ascended to the sky. Looking back at the forests, she felt like they'd traversed about half the way.
Half way done. What do you think will happen when we get there? Her eyes turned back to the bright, tacky, blinking eyesore that was Christmastown. Will we really bringing Sandy Claws to his knees and take over?
It all sounded so familiar, as if she'd seen something vaguely similar in a play once.. or maybe a history book.
Who would want that place, anyway? Our Headmistress is mad. But this was no news to anyone.

"It could be she wants it for more power? Think about it, we clearly fear the JOY, what would be the most powerful FEAR in Halloween town other then one powered by something WE fear right? Maybe that's what this is all about?" She had to shout of course to reach Riley as she flew above scouting, but it seemed as good a guess as any she figured. JOY was clearly powerful considering how banged up some students started to look after a days travel.

With the chill of being at a higher altitude starting to get to him, Jericho began to descend now that they had their little peek at the world around.
"Your guess is as good as mine. I'm hoping a good battle will ensue though," he replied. Everything thus far had been.. amusing to watch, but it wasn't all that satisfying. The JOY creatures were practically pushovers from what he saw, though the constant attacks were slowly whittling at everyone.
"Judging all the loot so far, I'd say there's a great deal of treasure to be had. I'd be sorely disappointed if there wasn't. This IS a raid, right?" he suggested before considering the other answer given, "There is that too I suppose."

Riley laughed and patted Jericho fondly. You would be interested in the loot, wouldn't you? Though I won't say I'm not curious about these wretchedly colored little boxes, either. She jingled the three attached to her belt, and then perked as she heard Sammy calling out to them. Her cheeks turned a faintly darker hue.
Sammy.. I do apologize. I didn't realize I was projecting my thoughts. Perhaps the altitude and a bit of all this fighting has worn me down, I'm simply not thinking straight. She sent the ghoul a gentle nudge, a soft and friendly gesture that would remind someone of a smile, and decided to continue to project her thoughts to the group. At least now she was doing it on purpose. But you're right, the likely cause of this is the pursuit of power. While I can understand that craving as well as the next, this.. She waved her hand in a fluid gesture towards their destination, is a terrible place to have power over. Now if I were Hellma.. Riley's eyes flashed dangerously. I'd consider Thanksgiving. Think of all the turkeys to be slaughtered. You could almost hear the invisible feral grin in her voice. Death. Everywhere.

[Alright, trying to compile everything that happened the last 9 pages into one post. |D]
Christof had seen them, right? Lizzy just continued walking, eyes on the hunchback as she slowly caught up; however, before she could, a gryphon landed beside him, causing the Demoness to momentarily freeze - was it going to attack? Its submissive nature suggested it was not, and it didn't take long for her to put one and one together, realizing that the gryphon was probably just another student with a broken or dysfunctional skull pin... It was surrounded by other students too, and it made her rather relief to know that they would not be alone.
"Um, Christof?" She huffed as she caught up, hoping that Amrita didn't mind her sort of 'pulling' her around; she had been strangely silent for a while now, after all... Perhaps it was the cold? The fear of not knowing when JOYful monsters might spring out - quite literally, too, after seeing the JOY-in-a-box toy attack - at them... It was enough to make Lizzy want to flail about in frustration, not that it would be very Demon or lady-like at all.
She smiled at the Gryphon at her friends before gesturing to the Undead ghoul she had been holding onto, not sure if they knew each other, "Hello... This is Amrita, and I am Lizzy. Its nice to meet you, although... I guess it would be better if we weren't stuck in this situation!" She forced a laugh to help herself relax, although it didn't really work.
"That's really kind of you." She patted the Gryphon gently with a smile as it allowed Christof to ride her as a mount. Her fur was so fluffy and warm... Lizzy's smile grew a little as she followed the group, mostly silent as they walked; she could not help but wonder if she had seen the Gryphon somewhere before...
Gryphon, gryphon, gryphon... Who was a gryphon again?
When Christof steered his "mount" towards an injured Sin later, however, that question vanished from her head. Instead, she first gasped at how oddly colorful the Demoness' outfit was before her face lit up; how heroic! She removed the whole 'bell dropped first' scene from her mind, and almost swooned when the bells did their magic.
Yes, Christof would make a good hero, and sin would be his heroine! Oh! It was a shame she left her camera back in the dorms...

(( ;; sorry about that I thought was she projecting in general! ))
"Not so bad, don't worry about it! It's like any other voice, just... it feels like your close to me on both sides, it's weird but it isn't too bad really!" The nod however was a bit odd and it showed on her face, it was new, different, but it wasn't.. vulgar? It felt almost natural in a strange way. "I don't see how Thanksgiving would be any better? Sure the turkey is a nice perk, and it probably involves less drunk trees and stupid toys, but at least we have Elves here, they look thinner then gnomes, I could probably double my gnome punt record with an elf." While the conversation took a 'lighter' turn Sammy couldn't help but wonder. What WOULD Helma do with whatever they found, sure it was power and most likely fear related but why send them, students?

"What can I say? I appreciate good treasure," Jericho said with a satisfactory grin. Glancing back and forth between Riley and Sammy, he considered the proposition on a raid on Thanksgiving. The thoughts of mass slaughter didn't bother him at all and had its own appeal to it.
"At least I'd be able to eat the damn Turkeys," he grumbled before another thought that came to mind that nearly made him retch, "On the bright side, it could be worse. We could be in Jack-Damn Valantine-Land."
All the pink... ALL THE PINK... and NO TREASURE.
He would not be a happy dragon at all there.

At the mention of Valentine and pink Sammy almost gagged, "Dear Jack, that place isn't scary it's just disgusting! No one should visit that place! At least this place isn't plastering with pink, just well, green red and white..."
