The very angry young demon was surprisingly quiet as more Candy Cane Laners caught up to and began conversing with other members of their ragtag bunch. There were even some more battles. The fact that West couldn't recall how many there had been was a testament to how tired he was getting, not that he would admit as much to present company. He wondered how far these mountains stretched. The second they were back on flatter ground, Barth was so getting the hell off of him, even if that meant they would leave the sloth demon behind. Truthfully, from the way these Krummies seemed to stick together, he doubted that would be an option.
West frowned.
Yeah, it somehow seemed a shame to give up after he had carried Barth so far already. Maybe the other demon could sit on a tent and be dragged or something instead.
He was still trudging along, contemplating the feasibility of tent sleds, when everyone started flipping the hell out. Who what? West brushed at his snow-caked face and hair, squinting at someone who he thought might have been that student council girl Jingleberry had disappeared. She was even snowier than he was!
"I'll takesum bats," he said. The last meal he could recall actually having eaten was that frog soup on the train, but there was a distinct possibility he had nabbed something on his way out of the infirmary. Either way, he was hungry.

Colette's tummy growled at the sight of gummy bats. She hadn't eaten anything since before Candycane Lane, and she was hungry again, but West wanted some and she remembered they held some sort of value to Rain. The Reaper smiled, "I think I'm alright for now, Rain." She'd just wait, maybe there was something edible she could snag from the oddities of Christmas Town. If not, she'd resort to snow again.
At more talk of Christmas Town, Colette brought up Barth's thoughts, "Barth said the town was probably crowded," and the Reaper greatly hoped it was not, "and then I figure it'll be dangerous. I can't imagine what lives there." The thought was disturbing to the ghoul, the things out here were bad enough, but something around such a concentration of joy must be terrible.
When bringing up her opinion on the town, "dangerous" made her realize that snowman had hurt her pretty bad. She didn't want to admit it, but she was banged up. If they were almost there, she didn't want to go in already weak. The ghoul pouted, "I should probably heal up too.. I mean, in case that place is dangerous," and she anxiously range her bell, healing herself for 6HP.
Just as she finished and put away her bell, the Reaper looked at what was left of their trek and saw it: Christmas Town. It was all downhill from here, literally, and Colette didn't see a reason to walk. She unrolled her tent and threw it on the ground, "Alright. I see the town and it's really close, just downhill of here, so I'm riding this thing down," she pointed at the make-shift sled, "I really don't want to go alone, and I can only take a couple with me, but who wants a ride?" She really didn't want to leave any friends, but she thought it was best to go up ahead and make sure everything was okay, so why not take who should could in the process?

Mandy frowned slightly when she heard Swords stomach growl, if the ghoul was hungry she should have said so, Mandy had a decent amount of chocolate left. She was about to offer some to her when she threw down a sled. Riding down to Christmas Town? Oo, that sounded fun, and energy efficient. She'd been very good at not letting her inner laziness out on this trip but that offer was to good to pass up. "Can I catch a ride?" it would still be good to ask, maybe someone else needed it more. Hopefully not.

Ah, downhill. Finally.
Barth patted West on the shoulder amiably, then clambered down, stretching.
"I'll join you. You err, coming too, West? Plenty of tents."
It probably wouldn't be a good idea with Barth steering, but he was sure just tagging along was harmless enough. Now that there wasn't any more climbing and a sled down would prove quick and easy, he was finally willing to relinquish his position as a back warmer.

The Reaper took her spot at the head of the tent-sled and grabbed the corners, pulling them closer. This'll have to be how I steer, then.
She looked at Mandy and patted behind her, signaling the ghoul to join her, "Sure, hop on." She didn't know how the ghoul would stay on though, and suggested the first thing that came to mind, "You might have to cling to me.." What an awkward suggestion.
Colette wasn't sure how many more people this tent could take, but she figured they could make it. She turned to Barth and asked, "Er, are you going to go with us or take your own?"

She might have to hold onto Colette?
Her personal space.... Gone.
Darn it. She wanted down the mountain fast more than she wanted to not touch people, so with a small amount of reluctance she carefully sat down behind the ghoul and put her hands around her waist, linking them.
Awkward to the max.

"With you," he said, yawning and apparently not seeing anything problematic about this.
"Cozier is warmer. Anyway, I can't steer for sludgesticks. ...Alright with you, Mandy?"

Oh Jack she was going to be a Mandy sandwich? At least she'd be warm. And it wouldn't be for too long. Mildly placated she gave Barth a nod. "Sure, hop on and hold on."
And looking on the bright side she got to cuddle up with a cute boil, Barth was by no means hard on the eyes.

Colette slightly twitched at Mandy's hold. Funny, she'd never had anyone hold her around her waste, and the first was another ghoul she was heading towards, possibly, utter Joy-Doom with. She coughed, "Yeah.. sorry about that."
Pointing to the back, she replied to Barth, "Alrighty then, hop on too." Hopefully they wouldn't lose anyone on the way down.
Okay, the tent-sled was full and they were ready to go. Colette felt bad for not being able to take others, but they had been the first to claim the ride. She turned to everyone left being left behind, "Well, we can meet up in Christmas Town, this ride shouldn't take too long."
Whenever Barth comfortably positioned himself with the two ghouls, Colette mentioned to her passengers, "Oh, and I've never done this before, but it can't be too difficult," before heaving forward and bounding the tent-sled towards Christmas Town.

Barth hopped to it (in a gradual fashion) and took up his new place behind Mandy, linking arms around her waist too. He was admittedly prone to leaning into Mandy, as if gravity was taking an especially heavy toll on him.
His gangly legs managed to make their way up towards the front of the sled, though. Luckily his boots, skulls aside, were as soft as his coat.
"Take us down, captain."
ONWARD TO CHRISTMAS TOWN.

Mandy was having to push down a blush as Barth leaned against her, curse him for being ridiculously warm and making odd comments on the train that now wouldn't get out of her head.
Only a few minutes at most Mandy. Only a few minutes. She wasn't sure if this was a bad or good thing. "I don't think anyones really practiced with this, we don't really get snow.". Really she wasn't excepting this ride to be smooth. But oh well, off to Christmas Town.

Alwine floated a little behind the others, watching them as all her friends cuddled together. It was nice to see them all together, it made her happy. She had friends, she had LOTS of friends! And they were all here, and they were all going to kick some JOY tail in Christmas Town.

Rain gave the demon some of her gummi bats. He looked like he'd have no problem chewing through them. She pocketed the rest and picked up her tent bundle. The others were ready to go to Christmas Town and Rain was no exception. She wanted away from this area as she'd been here long enough. Once her friends took off down the sled, she ran and jumped over the hill, landing mid-slope on her feet.
She surfed down for awhile until she lost her balance, rolling the rest of the way towards Christmas Town. Thankfully the snow at the bottom broke her fall.

Yay! Barth had de-Wested on his own! West grinned. Apparently it was time for sledding? That would surely wake him up. He shrugged, then slung his pack off of his back. Mouth full of gummi bats, he secured his EXTREME SNOWBALL LAUNCHER 5000 under his knees and launched himself and his tent sled down the side of the mountain.

Jam watched as the others decide a tent was the fastest way to christmas town. She lofted a brow when they all went down the hill. "Well... that's one way to do it."
She looked at Basil. "I think I'd rather walk" She said as it didn't look like there was room as it was. Her tail flickered, "Less chance to get hurt walking." She chuckled moving so her good wing could wrap around Basil to help keep the other warm. "Might as well make the best of hoofing it."
