Let's just say I was un-prepared for the answer and the extent to which it was answered.

Oh my. You guys are special sweatdrop
Okay I have huge news, it's upsetting to me, but it involves my sister. She and I got the results of of RN licensing exam today. She failed by THREE points,
The issue is this. My sister studies hard, the test isn't even about general knowledge but the logic of answering the questions (basically the way the organization wants you to). SHE KNOWS this, and can do it fine, the questions have several options but always two that are pretty much a trade off (one of which is correct).
Her issue is, she has test anxiety (which is WHY she studies so hard), so to fail by 3 points is not only a huge kick in the face (especially after the year we've had) but pretty devastating for several other reasons.
For one, her temporary license is now revoked. Which means she can no longer work. The job requires a vehicle, which is why she got one last month (brand new), only now she has no job to pay for it, or the insurance or the gas.
The test she needs to re-take costs $540, but again how to pay for it is a mystery.
The NEXT test is in OCTOBER (has to be paid for by the end of this month - 25th) and the closest testing venue is a 2 HOUR drive away from our house and will involve waiting another two months for results.
So basically my sister has a very stressful 6 months coming and it's all because she answered 3 multiple choice questions, with an answer that wasn't "right enough".
She has to explain to her job she failed, (and has a girl who graduated with us in the same place, so the news will spread) AND she may have to find another job in the meantime, AND she has to study again knowing it didn't help her last time, and she has to deal with the fact that I passed. (AS much as I am her sister, you know it has to be a blow, when I do something she didn't manage.)
Plus you only get to write the test 3 times.
WHAT BULL s**t
I wish I could physically express myself to whoever fricking did this to my sister. And by express myself physically I mean 'pound the s**t out of'.
Sorry for blathering too guys! But my mom isn't here to talk to, as she and my dad went with friends to a cabin until monday, and I thought it was more important my sister have phone time with her than I did.
o.0
On the upside, I did find my sister's DSi charger/box, and got books in the mail, and I slept most of the day. smile

Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear about your sister.
I had test anxiety for a while, until someone told me to just study when I felt like it and not to take any pre-tests, cuz then those just mess you up and give you too much stress to think about.
