Question time!

Prince/ss crystals, do they go into magical subspace like how the senshi phones do, or are they like the Rainbow Crystals that are out at all times and the Prince/ss now has to figure out what to do with it? More or less trying to figure out if Iris would have to worry about hiding a crystal in civvie form or not.

Mouse: Rainbow Crystals are summoned items, same as phones. A royal senshi's crystal is basically their solidified power and essence, so the only way for Iris to take hers out is to phase to her Princess form! As such, she wouldn't be able to run around with is as a civ.

Hello QnA thread! Thanks for looking at my questions!

1. This is a bit specific to my situation, but in case it may help others in the future I posted it here. I have the character Sailor Nyx/Harper Rafferty. Would it be allowed to also have a Sailor Nix? They are different celestial bodies, but are pronounced the same, because they're both named after the same mythological figure. I'll supply the wiki articles for more information:

Nessy: Senshi draw their powers from their unique celestial body. If those are two different celestial bodies, then they would produce two different senshi. Unfortunately, that means you can't claim Nix, regardless of the two celestial bodies being named after the same figure and sounding the same.

2. Is it possible for a player to submit information for an official school club? I see that there are businesses listed in the Destiny City/School Information thread, but this would be a school-sanctioned organization. For example, an equestrian club for Crystal Academy. Preferably, this would also encompass the school's equestrian team (or archery team or basketball team or what-have-you) itself, but I can see where that may be harder to work out. Really, any information on the plausibility of this group or groups, user run or shop run, that can be offered would be appreciated.

Nessy: We are actually pulling that thread soon so that it can be redone and brought up to speed. Until then you can definitely create a club like that, we're all for you guys making clubs and stuff for the respective schools. We will probably be rehashing that thread in a type of thread where if you make a club you simply post about it, very much how the planet compendium works right now.

Since there's chibi info up now. I feel like I should toss a few questions out there:

1. When a chibi senshi grows into a normal senshi, and if they have a stuffed animal as part of their attack like Hug-bell does; does that stuffed animal become removed from play? If so how would such an attack then work, would they have to be rewritten to reflect the lack of stuffed animal?

Nessy: If it is a part of their attack then it would remain. However being that it is a magical stuffed animal, it would probably materialize whenever Hugbell needed to use her attack. Think of Chibimoon's rod; it only shows up when she needs to attack.

2. For chibis that have hit the eternal stage before growing to a full fledged senshi; would alternative art have to be purchased for when they become of age, if we desire having an 'updated' uniform to reflect this? Would this only be possible via Natsu's customs when/if she ever opened them up again? (AKA buying AU art and getting it approved via the shop?? ((I know there's at least two eternal chibi's and while they're still at a semi-young age I figured I'd see if there has been any discussion on how this would work. I'd just mainly like to know what I might eventually have to plan for)))

Nessy: At this time it is something that is going to be a bribe-only, RL commission sort of thing. That may change in the future but to be fair to everyone who has an already-grown character we cannot allow chibi senshi extra art simply for aging. If you already have achieved all three stages of art before you heard of this circumstance and would like to speak with the staff about it, please contact the mule.

3. It's said the chibi senshi have to complete a ritual to become a full fledged senshi. If they are visiting their planet before hand could they eventually have a vision that helps foreshadow this? If so would they have to be at super or eternal stage to see this? Or would it depend more on the age? (IE: If they're getting close to their 14th birthday?)

Nessy: That's pretty much up to you! They probably would not be aware of it until they were twelve or thirteen since it's not really relevant to them until then. It might also be a total surprise the first time a chibi goes to their planet at the age of fourteen! The staff would be happy to work with you if you had a plot idea in mind for this.

If the chibi becomes eternal before 14, they do not get templated "adult" art. Would they still be called "Chibi", or with their 14th birthday do they just become "Senshi"

So say ambrosia went eternal at the age of 12. When she turns 14, could I ask to get a cert that says "Eternal Sailor Ambrosia" instead of "Chibi Eternal Sailor Ambrosia"? even if she has chibi art?

And if we get a Natsu custom for adult versions of chibi characters, would we be able to get this certed?

Nessy: Art is really just that: art. It does not change that at fourteen Chibi Sailor Ambrosia would become Sailor Ambrosia if she fulfilled her ritual.

I will confer with the rest of the staff about getting them recerted with the name. Absolutely if you got official alternate art of your character through Natsube or through bribing for templates we could cert it. It is only unofficial art that we cannot cert.

If I wanted to make a knight based on the cities / regions of the Tolkien Universe, would I be able to? Middle Earth is, after all, set long ago, and the series is a metaphore for the bible, which is from over a thousand years ago -- I assume.
Bascially, can I have a Knight of Mordor or a squire of Rivendell.

Mouse: No, you cannot do this, unfortunately. Mythological places are awesome, but fictional places don't work: the literature these locations are referenced from is not old enough (1,000 years), and in addition they are said to be in the Tolkein universe, not in this one. If we allowed LoTR locations based on the justification you've given, then we would also have to allow Star Wars / Harry Potter / etc-verse locations as Knight wonders, and... that would get messy.

Unrelated, if I have a knight who is male, can his ancestor be female?

Nessy: Absolutely.

Could a chibi refuse to grow up?

Say they turned 14, but didn't feel ready to 'grow up', and therefore completely avoided visiting their planet and experiencing their ritual. Would that be possible? How long would they be able to hold out being a chibi if it was?

Nessy: That's absolutely possible, if you don't want to be a full-powered senshi then you do not have to be. There is nothing that can even force them to power up if they are not ready, short of a direct threat to your planet where it reaches out to the senshi and makes them power up.

Something to consider though is that it leaves themselves in danger because while they may be seventeen, eighteen, they are still chibi senshi and do not have the same strength as they would have if they performed the ritual to claim all their power.

Just a little OOC note is that chibi senshi are incorruptible. Whether they perform the ritual to take all of their power or not, they gain the ability to be corrupted at fourteen, like everyone else in the world.

EDIT: As an afterthought I also want to add that chibi senshi older than fourteen cannot be purchased. You will have to have gotten a chibi senshi in the valid age range and just have played them long enough to go past fourteen where they refuse to perform the ritual.

I was just digging through and replying to all of my long-neglected tags after I had a ton to do at uni and work, and I realized that I have an RP with someone who under special circumstances won't be able to reply, and I didn't get to finish OTL So far I had replied 894 words worth of answers, but it's clearly not finished; I was wondering what I can do with this RP, or will I just have to lose it from my reqs for good? Even if you'd be willing to accept the half-fininshed RP if I write a solo to "end" it, I would totally be up for that, if it would still count for an RP req ._. if not, I understand why, as it never got finished! Nessy: If you do write a finisher post, you can mark it as finished. All we generally require is an RP with some kind of concrete end. Walking off, finding a reason to leave, whatever works so that there's some kind of end. Please refrain from writing someone else's character since even if it was abandoned, that is technically godmoding.

Mouse: Just to clarify: An outstanding RP with a blacklisted player can be finished if they are interested in doing so; they just cannot start new ones. However, putting up a quick-wrap is also just fine.

If you were to have a guardian cat that has recently awoken, in what circumstances would they find themselves in? xD~

To further clarify-- The question is what, where, and when.

- When? Can we assume they have been around for a couple of years, or are they automatically woken when the official art has arrived?
- Where would they have woken up? Destiny City? or another city maybe?
- What would they have woken up (in)? I'm not assuming they should magically appear out of nowhere, but would they have been confined to a bubble, or something?~

Nessy: Guardian cats are always generally fresh when they wake up. No guardian cat, with exception of Luna, has any memories of their past so their first sentient memory is waking up as a guardian and knowing their mission.

Almost all guardian cats have been living in Destiny City as normal cats until they wake up one morning fully aware as above. You can say that your guardian cat was around as a NORMAL cat (aka not being able to talk, knowing nothing about senshi, and being very much an animal) but not have been around for years as a guardian.

The most we will allow is two to three weeks as stated above. The cat could have lived outside Destiny City and then moved there (with a family, as a stray, etc) to awaken as a guardian cat when they reached DC, but generally they do not awaken outside of the city as there is no call for them to.
