 Seika "I can save you..."

"Y-you're mommy..?" she asked before he suddenly whistled. When she heard a roar, she thought her heart would beat even louder. As the dragon appeared from behind the railing, Seika's eyes went wide with both surprise and terror as she fell backwards from the mere sight of it. Seika couldn't pry her eyes away from the immense creature as it loomed above the two of them.

Dragon's cries fell to an occasional sniffle as he saw his best friend behind him. "Dog.." he murmured and suddenly got to his feet. In swift movement he stepped onto the railing and jumped up quite a few feet, landing on the dragon's back. The dragon turned to look at her master and snorted softly before glaring at the girl, wondering what she did to upset her master.

 Two little girls gave small sighs as they stumbled onto the roof, they'd been following their cousin for a while, only to get lost when he went around a corner. they'd been trying to find him for little over a half an hour. his crying lead them right to him. "DRAGON!" they shouted, running over to him quickly and hugging him tight. "little cousin... whatsa matter?" they asked, holding him tightly. {i'mma work on getting a better pic.. but for now... this is what i got >x>}

Seika felt at least a bit at ease that he had quieted down, yet it appeared the dragon's name was Dog. Strange, but she'd seen stranger. She simply watched as he jumped aboard what was apparently his dragon, but she wanted so badly to apologize. She couldn't help but get upset over being accused of doing something like that, after all. But now, she couldn't seem to form the words. The dragon now looking at her, she froze in its gaze. Swallowing her courage and bowing down on the ground, she spoke.
"I'm s-sorry! I really didn't think a grown man would cry over something like this!" Seika tried apologize and explain herself the best she could.

Dog looked back at her sniffing master and growled something questioningly, making Dragon squirm in his seat. "No... She won't believe me..." he answered his pet and got another growl in response. Dragon looked over at Dog, his eyes dim gray, and growled a few things back at her. They exchanged words until a few voices made them turn their heads. It was Dragon's cousins. He simply mumbled what could've been a hello and looked down shyly.

Seika sat up and looked at Dragon and Dog as they appeared to be having a conversation. 'She won't believe him..? Is he referring to me?' Seika sat and stared in wonder until suddenly two small girls came calling to the dragon. She tilted her head in wonder and worry, unable to speak or even understand what was happening. 'This is getting worse...' she thought to herself with a sigh.

Dragooooon!!!!!!!" the little toddlers called, small pouts on their faces as they looked at him. "Doggy!!!! let us talk with him???" they called, playing with their tails as they looked to the large blue dragon they'd created for their cousin the day he was born. "or... can you tell us why he's crying?" they asked worriedly in the dragon speak, knowing she'd understand them.

Dog shook her head and grumbled a few things, occasionally nudging her long snout in Seika's direction. She snorted and roared what was like a yawn, asking them to explain what Dragon was since he couldn't.

the tins nodded and turned to the lady near them. "um...lady... ?" they muttered quietly, grabbing her hands. "our cousin... he's... not really... as old as he looks...." they sighed. "he's a little younger then us actually..."

Seika looked at the little girls, then back at Dragon. She figured at the very least, he could be 11 or 12... but how old was he really?
"So... how old is he..?" she asked, almost wanting not to know. He was younger than these little girls..? That would explain all of the crying and acting so childish but...

"he's only a year old..." the little girls sighed softly, leaning on each other as they looked at her. "he...can't change back..." they pouted lightly and looked up at their cousin.

Seika's eyes went wide with disbelief as she looked over at Dragon.
"Only a single year..?" she asked, as if she had misheard the two of them. There was no way! He couldn't be a single year old! But then again, this was a school for the strange... That was why she was there in the first place. His age would explain all of the crying. A realization suddenly struck her. Hanging her head, she felt like a creep having thought a guy that was actually one year old was cute.

"A man cursed me to be 17." Dragon finally murmured from above on his dragon, his look hard and distant. He could see it in the girl's eyes, the look he feared so much, rejection and slight disgust. It wasn't like he wanted this, or to be a crybaby. He just... He wanted a friend, at least. Someone other than his family so he'd know it wasn't forced. Maybe I'm stuck being a freak... he murmured in his mind, but he didn't cry. Crying was gone and hatred filled its empty gap. He growled angrily at Dog. The dragon was shocked to hear her master's tone but followed her orders and flew away quickly, taking him away from the roof.

"not again...." the toddlers frowned, shaking their heads when dragon flew away. "he's always doing this..." they sighed and held hands tightly as they turned back to the girl. "we know its a little odd to find out he's only one... but... he needs a friend more then anything... the man that did this to him... he took away the time he would've spent growing up with his parents... and with us... he's lonely...." they pouted, hugging each other tightly. "he's lost more friends then you realize .... just because they found out how old he was...." they sniffed lightly.

Seika watched as the dragon flew away with Dragon on its back, wanting to stop him, but it was practically hopeless. She regretted her actions and wished she had known his age earlier. She wouldn't have yelled at him and made him cry, though that wasn't intentional. He was just a child, as it turned out.
Turning her attention back to the two little girls, she began to speak, a concerned expression on her face.
"So should I go after him?" she asked, looking in the direction Dog had taken him. 'I'd never realized how important age was to some people...'
